He’s easygoing, affectionate, and doesn’t go looking for trouble—he simply loves life and the people in it. Sky adores going on walks and is calm and well-mannered, making outings relaxing and ennjoyable. Still very much a puppy at heart, he’s playful, joyful, and full of excitement for the world around him. He’s incredibly affectionate and thrives on connection, always ready for cuddles, playtime, or a stroll by your side. He is very social and does beautifully with other dogs, and his sweet, gentle nature makes him wonderful with children. Sky is also smart and food-motivated, which means training comes easily and is actually fun. He’s eager to learn and loves positive reinforcement.Whether it’s adventure time or quiet time, Sky is ready to be a loyal companion and bring warmth, joy, and love into your home. Sky’s Ideal Home Sky would thrive in a loving home where he’s treated as a true member of the family. He’d be a great match for an active but balanced household—one that enjoys daily walks, playtime, and quality time together, while also appreciating calm evenings and cuddles. He would do wonderfully in a home with children thanks to his patient, gentle demeanor. Sky also enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a canine sibling, though he’d be perfectly happy as an only dog if he receives plenty of love and attention. Because he’s intelligent and food-motivated, Sky would shine in a home that continues his training using positive reinforcement. Most importantly, he’s looking for a home filled with kindness, stability, and affection—a place where he can continue to grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. Sky’s Rescue Story Sky’s life began with hardship no puppy should ever experience. At less than three months old, he was found abandoned at a construction site—alone, helpless, and suffering from a badly broken leg. Everything indicated he had been hit by a car weeks earlier and left without care. Because of the severity of his injury, we had to wait anxiously for a full diagnosis, hoping that surgery might save his leg. The outcome was uncertain, and the possibility of amputation was very real. But Sky is a fighter. After delicate surgery and careful recovery, the miracle happened—Sky kept his leg. The surgery was a success, and he exceeded every expectation. Today, he walks happily, uses his leg well, and shows no signs of the painful past he survived. Despite everything he endured so early in life, Sky never lost his gentle spirit. He chose trust over fear, joy over pain, and love over abandonment. Now, Sky is ready for the future he’s always deserved—a forever home where he will be cherished, safe, and never left behind again. Story
Meet Alfredo Age: 2.5 years (March birthday) Gender: Male Breed: Mixed – 30% Labrador, 30% Great Pyrenees, 18% Pitbull, and other mixes (DNA results available) Why He’s Looking for a New Home Alfredo was adopted through NW Wag Rescue as a tiny puppy after being found in the desert of New Mexico with his mom and seven siblings. His current family has given him a wonderful start and invested time, training, and love into him. However, due to his size, strength, and reactivity around other dogs and strangers, they feel he would be happier and safer in a different environment. With two young children at home and a busy neighborhood, it has become clear that Alfredo would thrive in a calmer, more suitable home. His family loves him deeply, and this rehoming decision is based on what’s best for him long-term. Personality & Temperament Alfredo is a loyal, affectionate dog who adores his people. He’s equally happy adventuring outdoors on runs and hikes or spending the day lounging and snuggling on the couch. He’s very attached to his family, following them from room to room, and he thrives on closeness and attention. He is protective of his home and family, barking at noises or new visitors. With unfamiliar people, he can be nervous at first—barking and growling—but with patience and calm introductions, he warms up and turns into a total sweetheart, often rolling over for belly rubs once he feels safe. Alfredo is sensitive to loud noises (especially fireworks) and prefers peaceful environments over crowded, noisy places. He enjoys running and zooming in the yard but isn’t interested in fetch or most toys. He does, however, like chew toys, treats, and people food in moderation. Behavior with People & Animals Kids: Alfredo has been excellent with the two young children in his family. However, due to his reactivity and size, it is recommended that he live in a home without young children for safety and comfort. Dogs: His behavior depends on the setting. At daycare, he does wonderfully, playing with groups of 30–50 dogs and even boarding without issue. At home or on walks, though, he can be reactive—barking, growling, or lunging at other dogs. He once got out and scuffled with a passing dog but was quickly called back and no injuries occurred. Cats: He hasn’t lived with cats. On walks, he tends to bark and pull toward them. Training & Habits Leash trained: Yes, though reactive toward other dogs at times. House trained: Very reliable and signals when he needs to go out. Crate trained: Yes. Sleeps in his crate most nights and stays crated if left home longer than an hour. Sleeping arrangements: Usually in his crate, occasionally in bed with his family. Health Alfredo takes 40 mg of Fluoxetine daily to help manage anxiety. Healthy overall with a strong stomach. Ideal Home Alfredo will do best as the only pet in a calm home with a securely fenced yard. His ideal adopter will be someone (or a couple) who has time to dedicate to his exercise, training, and, most importantly, affection. Because of his protective and anxious nature, a quieter area outside of dense city life is recommended. In return, Alfredo will give endless love, loyalty, and companionship—along with the bonus of being a natural guard dog. Strengths Loving, affectionate, and submissive with his family Athletic and well-trained Loyal and protective Low-maintenance lifestyle (happy to lounge or adventure) Areas for Growth Managing anxiety and nervousness Reactivity toward other dogs while on leash Please fill out an adoption application to get in touch with his current family and to learn more about him and schedule a meet and greet. Rehoming fee $200 ##2532613##

Toss a ball or stick and he’s all in—running, retrieving, and happily bringing it right back, over and over again . His natural retrieving instinct makes him not only fun, but also very responsive and easy to train. He’s highly food-motivated, eager to please, and picks up new skills quickly. Chocolate enjoys staying active and would be a fantastic companion for hiking, running, or long walks around the neighborhood or city. He walks well on leash, listens attentively, and responds nicely to his name. While he has plenty of playful energy, Chocolate also has a sweet and affectionate side. He enjoys cuddles, quality time with his people, and being included in daily life. He gets along well with other dogs and does best with calm, respectful introductions that allow him to feel comfortable and confident. Chocolate is the kind of dog who will happily match your energy—ready for adventure, then content to settle in close by your side. Chocolate’s Ideal Home Chocolate would thrive in an active home where daily walks, playtime, and outdoor adventures are part of the routine. He’s a great match for someone who enjoys being outside and wants a loyal companion to share those moments with. He loves being close to his people and does best in a home where he’s included, engaged, and showered with affection. Chocolate can be happy as an only dog or with another friendly dog, as long as his space and personality are respected. With the right balance of structure, activity, and love, Chocolate will be a devoted, fun, and affectionate lifelong companion. Chocolate’s Rescue Story Chocolate’s life didn’t begin with love. One day, he was abandoned outside a Petco store—left behind, confused, and waiting for people who never returned. Invisible to many, he stayed there not understanding why he had been left. Thankfully, fate stepped in. A compassionate store manager couldn’t ignore Chocolate’s quiet plea for help. Together with his girlfriend, a veterinarian, they intervened—providing safety, medical care, and the chance for Chocolate to begin healing both physically and emotionally. Surrounded by patience, kindness, and other dogs who helped him relearn trust, Chocolate slowly let go of his fear of being abandoned again. He discovered what it means to be valued and loved. Now, Chocolate is ready for the final chapter of his journey—a forever home where he will never be left behind again, and where the love he gives will be returned every single day. Location: Chocolate is currently waiting in Mexico for a committed trial family Adoption Fee: $600 If you’re interested in Chocolate, please apply at www.northwestwagrescue.org ##2628045##
