My name is Mel. I was adopted in 2018 by one of my current owners. Sadly, my other pet parent passed away from cancer. My remaining owner now has serious health issues and can no longer care for me the way I need. I am a sweet senior dog (likely between 10 and 12 years old) looking for a loving home to spend the rest of my life. I am very gentle, though I do bark at other dogs and need some time to adjust to new environments. I get along fine with cats, and I have never shown aggression toward people or children. I am house-trained, but because of my age, I do have accidents. Note from the owner’s daughter: I am trying to find a new home for Mel. My father loves him deeply, but he is suffering from dementia and is no longer able to care for Mel.

She loves running around the backyard of her foster's house. She is playing with all the foster dogs. She loves to hang out on a soft blanket and get belly rubs. She will play with toys if you toss them to her. Taco is a little yappy when she first meets someone new but calms down quickly. She walks well on a leash too! Taco is looking for a family that will help her continue on her weight loss journey. Taco had a dental and sadly she lost all of her teeth. Seven years old and n teeth! Meet Jack! Jack's owners were moving back to Canada and were not able to take Jack and his sister. His sister was pulled from the shelter by another rescue. We felt so bad for this cutie we brought him back with us. Jack loves to snuggle in the bed or on the sofa. He follows his foster around where ever she goes. He is ALWAYS happy! The foster family call him "Happy Jack"! He Loves to play with his foster sister. He LOVES to give kisses. He has done really well with a house full of people during the holidays. He doesn't bark and if he needs a break he goes to the bedroom. He is shy at first but if you give him some time to warm up he will be your best buddy. Jack is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and 4DX tested (heartworm and Tick born disease negative). Jack is approximately 1 year old and weighs 11 pounds. Meet Eddie! Eddie's fosters have nothing but wonderful things to say about Eddie. He sleeps in a cat hut on the bed at night ha ha! It's his dog cave! He walks on a leash and is kennel trained. He is shy at first but warms up once he gets to know you. He loves to hang with his people. He does get the zoomies and runs around the kitchen! This little cutie has had it rough. Prior to being surrendered to us he had been hit by a car. His owner did not get him any vet care, because of that he has a funny walk and occasionally his left leg gives in. X-rays showed a healed fracture in his left leg. He has a luxating patella. The specialist couldn't say if it was from being hit by a car or something he was born with. He will have arthritis once he hits his older years but hey who doesn't! The specialist said that there is no sense doing the surgery to fix the luxating patella. The damage from being hit by the car has healed and there wouldn't be much they could do. Eddie doesn't let this stop him or slow him down. He isn't in any pain and is living life with his foster family. He is on a couple supplements to help his joints. He is a really sweet dog that deserves a family that will spoil him! Eddie is neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and 4DX (tick/heartworm test) negative. Eddie is approximately 2 years old and weighs 9 pounds.
