Jax came to Happy Tails as an owner surrender. He is good with dogs with proper introductions and good with kids. He is not good with cats. Jax is a bit timid at first but once he’s comfortable he is very sweet and snuggly and really likes to be on the couch with you. He is loyal and protective and loves to please his people. He listens very well! He is house trained and does okay in the kennel but it's not his favorite place. He prefers to sleep in bed with his humans. Jax likes to play with other dogs and with toys. He's leashed trained and likes to go for walks but can be reactive to other dogs while on leash so will need someone will to work with him on that. He gets a little nervous in the car. The best home for Jax is with someone home more often than not. He would be okay as an only dog or with another dog. He will bark when left alone, so no homes with shared walls or apartments.

As a result, she does have some hair loss, but she’s receiving the very best care and her full fluffy glow-up is already underway. Beneath the temporary coat changes is a truly beautiful soul. Chevy is a total sweetheart who loves just about everyone she meets. She does, however, show signs of past mistreatment around men — initially cowering or shaking — but with gentle voices, patience, and love, she warms up quickly and leaves that fear behind. A little reassurance goes a long way with this girl. She absolutely adores kids and would love a home with at least one gentle, loving child 8 years or older who understands how to be kind to a small dog. Chevy would also thrive in a home with another dog who’s ready to do zoomies, play, and help her enjoy being carefree again.
