At West Valley Animal Rescue, we do things a bit differently. While many rescues take days to respond or never reply at all, we move fast. The application (link below) is the first step and helps us confirm that you and your household are a great fit. Once you submit it, text us right away. We’ll review it quickly, and if approved, we can often schedule a same-day adoption appointment so dogs spend less time waiting and more time loved. https://www.westvalleyanimalrescue.com/app 💜 Meet Reign 💜 Pocket sized royalty with main character energy. Reign is a tiny Chihuahua boy who is happiest right by your side whether that means riding along in his stroller, tagging along in a purse, or quietly supervising your day as foster mom’s loyal little shadow. He loves kids of all ages, is crate trained, uses the dog door, and free roams responsibly when his foster family is not home, which makes him incredibly easy to have around. Reign is the kind of dog who blends right into your life and makes everything sweeter just by being there, and if you are looking for a small companion with a huge heart and perfect manners, this little guy is ready to rule your world. Reign’s adoption donation includes his age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, neuter, microchip, collar and leash. Apply below to adopt Reign. We are a foster-based rescue with homes mainly in Goodyear and Buckeye. If approved, you’ll meet a volunteer or foster family at a local pet store we partner with or at a foster home for adoption. The address will be shared once your appointment is scheduled. Breed and age are estimated and not guaranteed. Please see our website’s FAQs for more information.

Story
My name is Mel. I was adopted in 2018 by one of my current owners. Sadly, my other pet parent passed away from cancer. My remaining owner now has serious health issues and can no longer care for me the way I need. I am a sweet senior dog (likely between 10 and 12 years old) looking for a loving home to spend the rest of my life. I am very gentle, though I do bark at other dogs and need some time to adjust to new environments. I get along fine with cats, and I have never shown aggression toward people or children. I am house-trained, but because of my age, I do have accidents. Note from the owner’s daughter: I am trying to find a new home for Mel. My father loves him deeply, but he is suffering from dementia and is no longer able to care for Mel.

Story
IMPORTANT!! Due to time and staffing constraints, ALL inquiries/questions MUST BE accompanied by your completed Adoption Application (Matchmaking Questionnaire). See above for the link to the form. Any inquiries/questions sent without the completed form will NOT receive a response. Thank You for understanding. Affectionate "special needs" Ginger is 4 years old and in search of a loving home that is as special as she is. Ginger had a rough start in life and for the first year of her puppyhood she was strictly confined in a tiny crate with only a few potty breaks. As a result, she suffers from claustrophobia and is terrified of leashes. Despite all this, Ginger is a loving and friendly girl who likes nothing better than to jump up on your lap for a tummy rub, or sit beside you on the couch watching TV. She also loves sleeping in bed with you. She likes toys and chew bones and running around out in the back yard. Ginger is good with other pets and us perfectly potty trained. She uses the doggie door and never makes a mess. Ginger would be the ideal companion for someone who doesn't take their dog for a walk and just wants a friendly and loving pet to be their best friend. Her adoption fee is $125 and includes her spay and all shots.
