Story
Hi my name is Little Bit, at 8 weeks old I was adopted from a rescue 05/2018. My fun-loving spirit shines every day. I thrive on cuddles, wrapping myself in warmth and love with my humans. At night, I snuggle under the covers with my favorite person, sharing dreams and feeling safe. I love playing fetch and can chase my toys for hours, my tail wagging with joy. Long walks let me explore the neighborhood and meet other dogs and cats. Car rides are a thrill, with my ears flapping in the wind. I can even travel incognito—any size purse will do! While I enjoy life, I’m not a fan of the vacuum cleaner or loud noises, which make me bark in protest. When it’s time to go outside, I do a little dance to let my humans know. If you’re seeking the perfect stay-at-home companion, I may be small, but my love is immense. I can’t wait to share my silly antics and cuddly nature with my new humans! I come with my own beds, collars/leads, toys, and winter wardrobe!

Story
Sara is a truly sweet 9-year-old female Chihuahua mix who is ready to be someone’s little shadow and quiet companion. She’s the kind of dog who fits right into a calm home, enjoying cozy spaces, gentle routines, and simply being near her person. Sara is partially blind, but she adapts beautifully with consistency and familiarity. She has cataracts in her right eye and lenticular sclerosis in her left eye, and would do best with an adopter who understands her vision needs and is happy to provide a stable, loving environment where she can feel secure and confident. Story
Sweet Rosa... The kind of dog who should already be curled up on someone's couch, soaking up quiet love and gentle days. She doesn't ask for much: A calm home, a patient human. A soft voice and a steady routine. Somehow, she's still waiting. She's around 5 1/2 years old - past the chaos of puppyhood, right in that sweet spot where companionship matters most. Rosa comes to All Paws On Deck from the Humane Society of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. She once knew what it meant to be cherished. When her person passed away, Rosa's world changed and she found herself in someone else's care, and then, sadly, in the path of someone with cruel intentions. We know that Rosa suffered abuse, including a machete injury to her head, both things no dog should ever have to experience. Because of her history, Rosa will need time to decompress in a new environment and would thrive with a family who understands what she's been through and and is patient enough to let her open up at her own pace. Being picked up can feel overwhelming for her, so she prefers that you to decide when she's ready to climb into your lap - and when she does, it's incredibly special. Despite everything she's been through, her heart has stayed open. She still leans into kindness, still believes in people. She may greet new situations with a bit of hesitation, but Rosa's soulful eyes tell the real story: a heart full of love, gentleness, and sincerity. Rosa is a 5 1/2 year old female chihuahua mix. She is heartworm positive, and All Paws on Deck covers her heartworm treatment through Norwich Vet in Bozrah. If you've ever thought about opening your home to a dog who will love deeply and gratefully... Rosa might be waiting just for you. Apply for Rosa at allpawsondeck.org Must be 21+ to adopt $500 Adoption Fee; $100 spay/neuter deposit Located in Griswold, CT To adopt you must - Fill out an application at allpawsondeck.org - All your pets must be spayed / neutered and up to date. - We can’t adopt to MA residents due to State Laws. Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)       10 wks old sweet Jelly from Puerto Rico.  All dogs are located in NY/NJ areaAll our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there)Twitter: zanisff Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.

Story
With her soulful eyes and gentle spirit, Bunni has quietly stolen the hearts of everyone she meets. This petite girl weighs just 22 pounds, making her the perfect compact companion. Rescued from Louisiana with the help of our partners at BISSELL Pet Foundation, she was found with mange but has since received treatment and is now healthy, comfortable, and ready for her fresh start. Bunni does not have a mean bone in her body and has quickly become a staff favorite. She walks nicely on a leash and looks up at you for guidance with the sweetest expression. She enjoys the company of other dogs, is respectful of cats, and truly just wants to be close to her people. Calm, affectionate, and full of love, Bunni is the kind of precious pup who will make any family feel incredibly lucky.
