Story
Syrup is her name and we are convinced she was born tucked in a teacup with a tiny satin bow. She is demure, soft-natured, and wonderfully polite, with the sweetest ,gentle personality. At just over 2 years old and only 7.5 lbs, Syrup is a petite little Chihuahua mix who seems perfectly content being someone’s quiet little sidekick. Rescue rules apply, so breed and age are our best guess. Go watch Syrup on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this dainty little lap-seeker. Note: Her video includes Maple and Syrup- they do not need to be adopted together and are available for adoption individually. https://youtu.be/e0cOaJh6ufk Syrup can start off a little aloof in new situations, but it comes from a polite nature, she has manners and is an incredibly affectionate little dog who truly loves gentle human connection. Once she warms, we are talking maybe 5 minutes, she was happily climbing into laps, rolling around for attention, and soaking up affection like she had known everyone forever. She has a very soft, calm way about her and seems to genuinely prefer cozy companionship over chaos or nonstop activity. She did beautifully meeting 7 year old Cash and truly lit up when he came down to pet her. It is easy to imagine her living a charmed life with respectful kids who allow her a moment to settle in first. Imagine the tea parties and nap-time snuggles… absolute dream-girl love! She is also just as wonderfully with cats and other dogs, showing polite social skills and absolutely no interest in conflict or drama. Her approach to stressful situations is simply to remove herself and quietly avoid trouble, which honestly feels very fitting for such a demure little lady. Syrup would likely thrive in a calm apartment, a quieter household, or really any loving home that appreciates tiny dogs with gentle hearts and low-to-mid energy levels. She does not seem demanding at all, just give her a comfy lap, a soft blanket, and a little patience while she settles in, and she will absolutely melt into your heart and life. Story
There are cute dogs, and then there are dogs that make you involuntarily say, "Oh my gosh, look at her." Jennie June is one of those dogs. Between her ridiculously adorable pointy ears, her long little baby deer legs, and the sweet way she looks at you like she's hoping you'll be her friend, this girl is almost unfairly precious. The best part though? As cute as she is, her personality somehow manages to be even sweeter. Jennie is the kind of dog that makes you want to scoop her up, tell her she's perfect, and spend the rest of the day carrying her around like the tiny treasure she is. Watch her video and prepare to fall completely in love: https://youtu.be/ycM9KaILf1k?si=OzP1C-Qt18f7SMSv Jennie June is approximately 1 year old, weighs around 15 lbs, and we believe she may be a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher mix. With rescue it's always a mystery and we can never guarantee breed or age. What we do know is that she's sweet as pie, has the best pointy ears, and somehow manages to look like a tiny baby deer. If we had to describe Jennie in one word, it would be sweet. Actually, make that very, very, very sweet. This girl wants so badly to love and be loved. She's still figuring out exactly how to ask for affection, and honestly, the way she does it might be one of the cutest things we've ever seen. She'll do these little tap dances with her feet, throw in an adorable play bow, or slowly baby crawl her way toward you hoping you'll notice her. It's impossible not to melt when she does it. One of our favorite things about Jennie is how excited she gets when you talk to her in a baby voice. Tell her she's pretty. Tell her she's cute. Tell her she's the best girl ever. She absolutely eats it up. You can practically see her little confidence boost in real time. It's adorable and we're pretty sure she'd happily accept compliments as a full-time job. Jennie is dog friendly and has done well with other dogs. When she first meets a dog, especially one that's bigger than her, she can be a little shy and submissive. She'll make herself as tiny as possible while she figures everything out. Even when she's feeling unsure, she's incredibly tolerant and respectful. She isn't looking to start drama or boss anyone around. She simply likes a minute to settle in and get comfortable. Jennie also met our house cat, Biggie, and did wonderfully. She was respectful, appropriate, and didn't chase him or seem bothered by any of his cat antics. Biggie also appeared comfortable around her. While we don't know if she's ever lived with cats before, her introduction went very well. If you have a cat at home, we'd be happy to arrange a kitty sleepover upon request. Jennie is crate trained, although she occasionally appreciates a little encouragement to head inside. Once settled, she does well. She's also potty trained and has been doing great with her routine. One thing to know about Jennie is that she's still fairly new to things like handling, leash walking, and some of the everyday experiences that many dogs take for granted. She's learning, making progress, and will continue to blossom with a patient family that's willing to help build her confidence. She's the kind of dog that just needs a little kindness and encouragement and then she gives that love right back tenfold. As close to perfect as she is, Jennie does have one tiny flaw. She loves her people so much that she isn't exactly shy about voicing her opinion when separated from them. She can be vocal and has been known to bark or scratch at a door if left behind for a moment. Because of this, we think she'd do best in a home rather than an apartment setting. Jennie is truly one of those dogs that is hard not to fall for. She's sweet, gentle, affectionate, adorable, and has enough charm packed into her tiny body to brighten even the worst day. If you're looking for a best friend who will adore you right back, Jennie might just be your girl. We are willing to test Jennie June with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Meet Angel Angel is a 4-year-old teacup Chihuahua weighing approximately 8 pounds. This tiny girl has a sweet personality and enjoys being close to her people. While she walks nicely on a leash, she much prefers to be carried and cuddled.Because Angel is a flight risk, she can never be allowed off leash. We are requiring either a securely fenced yard suitable for a toy breed or a commitment to leash walking at all times when outdoors.Angel has a healthy appetite and prefers wet food, though she will eat kibble if it’s very small. She gets along great with other dogs and would enjoy having canine companions in her new home.Due to her small size, Angel will only be adopted to homes with children over the age of 8 who can safely and respectfully interact with a tiny dog.If you’re looking for a little shadow to carry in your arms and shower with love, Angel may be the perfect match!         PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 13, 2026, 1:17 pm

Story
Shelly Loo has the confidence of a dog three times her size and absolutely none of the hesitation. She marches into new situations like she's been invited, assumes everyone is delighted to see her, and immediately starts looking for something fun to do. Usually that something involves toys. Estimated to be around 4 years old, weighing 20 pounds, and looking very much like a Chihuahua mix, but of course- Shelly Loo is a rescue, so breed and age are simply our best guess. Guaranteed is that she is a confident, entertaining little character with a playful streak, plenty of personality, and a serious appreciation for attention from her people. Go watch Shelly Loo Who on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this spunky little lady. https://youtu.be/wmOb1RpNHDc Shelly Loo loves people and has a knack for making herself part of whatever is happening. She handles busy enviornments with ease, happily soaks up attention from everyone she meets and all around makes a great companion whether at home or out in the world. She is also a true toy enthusiast, and can happily entertain herself with a toy to chase, toss, or proudly carry around. While Shelly enjoys meeting other dogs, she's not exactly looking for a committee to run her life. She's a confident girl who prefers thoughtful introductions and tends to do best with larger, confident dogs that won't be bothered by her bossy moments. She's not looking to be the welcome crew of the dog park. Think more "neighborhood mayor" than "life of the party." Shelly would love a home that can keep her active with daily walks, toys, and plenty of opportunities to spend time with her people. She is a blast with kids and from everything we have seen she has all the makings of a fun little companion for a family that appreciates a dog with personality. Shelly Loo’s one no-need is cats. When she met our house cat it was clear that she would thoroughly enjoy chasing a cat- something we can all agree cats hate! So for everyones sake, a cat-free home is best for her. If you're looking for a small dog with confidence, charm, and enough character to keep life interesting, Shelly Loo is ready to march straight into your heart.
