Story
Sally is an absolutely adorable, super sweet, snuggly little lady who came into rescue with her siblings when her owner had passed. Thankfully networking was done and this incredible girl made her way, along with her sister, to a wonderfully loving foster home while she gets ready to find her forever home! Sally is about 5 years old. She had “Cherry eye” which is a dislocated third lid that was never addressed in her former home, which chafed her eye causing her to have a cataract in that eye. She has just had the surgery and that has been taken care of! But she will remain with the cataract in that one eye, while the other eye is great! She is a mixture of several breeds, but looos very chihuahua/pug/peke mix, and is an absolute dream! She weighs 18 lbs and is a happy healthy wonderful little nugget. Shes had all medical work completed including vaccines, deworming, microchipping, heartworm testing, deworming, and she is spayed! This sweetie is thriving and ready to find her forever home! Since coming into foster care, she and her sister have been absolutely wonderful. She has a very friendly disposition and is outgoing and social, welcoming love and friendship from everyone she meets! She is fantastic with other dogs. She of course loves to snuggle up with her sister, but makes fast friends with every kind dog she meets! She is also excellent with cats. She will play with toys and other dogs sometimes, but is for the most part on the more mellow side. Her favorite thing in the entire world is snuggling!! She has the cutest, most friendly personality. She sleeps in bed with her foster parents through the night with ease and is so wonderfully loving and easy going. She will do great on walks, car rides, other easy going outdoor activities, and she’s the queen of snuggly, cozy movie nights! She’s wonderfully behaved in the house and reliably goes potty outside. If this super adorable, absolutely fabulous little nugget is your dream girl and you’d love to give her a wonderful future, please visit www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org and submit an application for adoption today!!

Story
This cutie is Gizma. She is currently 3 months old and weighs approximately 11.9 pounds. We think they may be a Chihuahua/Terrier mix*, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from us, it saves their life as well as the life of another in its place. Watch Gizma's playful personality here: https://youtu.be/T5qf8I0AK4o?si=bK9SvbkyINkEG3sc Gizma is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. She loves to play with her siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! We pride ourselves in being able to give you good personality and behavioral information to help ensure this baby is the right fit for you. You are also welcome to do a Facetime call to meet your new baby before signing paperwork! Gizma is still very young and will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. A puppy is discovering new things that shape their personalities with each passing day. Implementing routine, structure, setting boundaries, and proper socialization is key from the start. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy starting immediately when arriving at their new home, which will help with potty training, energy management, and the overall development of a well-rounded adult dog. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Sweet Rosa... The kind of dog who should already be curled up on someone's couch, soaking up quiet love and gentle days. She doesn't ask for much: A calm home, a patient human. A soft voice and a steady routine. Somehow, she's still waiting. She's around 5 1/2 years old - past the chaos of puppyhood, right in that sweet spot where companionship matters most. Rosa comes to All Paws On Deck from the Humane Society of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. She once knew what it meant to be cherished. When her person passed away, Rosa's world changed and she found herself in someone else's care, and then, sadly, in the path of someone with cruel intentions. We know that Rosa suffered abuse, including a machete injury to her head, both things no dog should ever have to experience. Because of her history, Rosa will need time to decompress in a new environment and would thrive with a family who understands what she's been through and and is patient enough to let her open up at her own pace. Being picked up can feel overwhelming for her, so she prefers that you to decide when she's ready to climb into your lap - and when she does, it's incredibly special. Despite everything she's been through, her heart has stayed open. She still leans into kindness, still believes in people. She may greet new situations with a bit of hesitation, but Rosa's soulful eyes tell the real story: a heart full of love, gentleness, and sincerity. Rosa is a 5 1/2 year old female chihuahua mix. She is heartworm positive, and All Paws on Deck covers her heartworm treatment through Norwich Vet in Bozrah. If you've ever thought about opening your home to a dog who will love deeply and gratefully... Rosa might be waiting just for you. Apply for Rosa at allpawsondeck.org Must be 21+ to adopt $500 Adoption Fee; $100 spay/neuter deposit Located in Griswold, CT To adopt you must - Fill out an application at allpawsondeck.org - All your pets must be spayed / neutered and up to date. - We can’t adopt to MA residents due to State Laws.
