I am a fun, spunky, spirited gut and I would love nothing more than a house full of other dogs or kids or both to romp and play with. I am attentive, well behaved, happy and have a great disposition. My foster mom believes I am about a year old and approximately 10 pounds. He has the body of a Chihuahua, but the personality of a Jack Russell and a long flowing mane like a hyena around his neck and back, and it just gives him that much more character and charm. APPLY FOR DOLCE Once upon a time, there was a tiny little dog named Dolce with a very big problem: Nobody had adopted him yet. Which was confusing, because Dolce had already checked just about every box on the “amazing little dog” list. He was born on June 2, he’s a Chihuahua/Maltese mix, and he currently weighs about 9 pounds — although we should probably mention that roughly 90% of those 9 pounds are legs. Dolce did not ask to be built like a miniature runway model, but here we are. The first time we posted him, we thought surely someone would take one look at those ridiculous little stilts, fall in love, and that would be the end of the story. And yet… here he is again. So if you missed Dolce the first time, consider this your second chance. Dolce is the kind of puppy who somehow manages to be both fun and wonderfully easygoing. He plays well with dogs of all sizes, gets along with cats and kids, and then, when the excitement is over, he’s perfectly happy to settle in and relax. At bedtime, Dolce heads into his crate, sleeps through the night, and has no overnight accidents. During the day, he’s starting to understand his potty cues and is catching on quickly. Give this boy a consistent routine and a little patience, and we have a feeling he’ll have the whole thing figured out before long. He’s sweet. He’s social. He’s chill. He’s affectionate. He’s neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. And somehow, despite all of that, Dolce is still waiting for someone to say: “Yep. Those absurdly long little legs belong in my house.” We’re really hoping this is the last time we have to post Dolce looking for a family. Not because we’re tired of talking about him — we could talk about those legs all day — but because the next story we want to tell about Dolce is the one where he finally goes home. She's as delicate as a blooming flower, as sweet as sugar, and the most loving, loyal companion imaginable. Sadly, Catalina could not stay with her original owner due to a dementia diagnosis. With no one else able to help, Miss Peggy and Critter Cavalry stepped in to rescue her. Catalina adores Miss Peggy and follows her everywhere. Oh my goodness... I’m adorable! My name is Thunder, and I am a 5-year-old Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix weighing just 13 lbs. I’m not sure how it happened, but I was on death row at the San Antonio doggy jail, hoping like crazy that someone would come and get me! Then all of a sudden, my bail was paid, and a very nice lady brought me home to foster me for 4 Little Paws Rescue. That was a very lucky day for me, and before my luck runs out, I am now hoping to get a forever home, and that's where you come in! I’m neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, have vet records, and it’s possible that I am the most handsome dude on the internet, so think about adopting me! My foster mom says I am a friendly loverboy who may be shy at first, but I warm up quickly, and before you know it, I’ll be bringing you all my toys so we can play together! I love playing fetch, and I love squeaky balls and soft toys, and I’ll even bring toys to another dog to play with. That's how thoughtful I am! Mostly, I love to be wherever you are, no matter what you are doing; I’m very loyal. At night, I sleep in a crate with the door left open, and a big, thick blanket so I can burrow under it. Otherwise, if you let me, I would probably be in your bed snuggled beside you and under the covers... even in summer... It’s a Chihuahua thing. I’m a good boy at home, housebroken, know how to use a potty pad, only bark when I need to alert you, and I don't mind a kitty cat housemate. That about sums me up, so inquire about me today!
