Story
Welcome Missy to CCPAL Rescue Foster program. Missy Gorda is a 2 -year- old Chug (Pug/Chihuahua). She weighs about 13 pounds and appears to be a good weight. She has the Pug body and is thick in the middle. She is very playful with toys. She is in a foster home with a large dog and Minnie and she does good with both. She isn’t a big shedder. She isn’t too vocal which is nice. She can use the doggy door and goes outside to do her business. She came from a hoarding situation and probably hasn’t been held much. She is a little nervous being held and has a bit of a stiff body. She loves her crate and will go to it when she is scared. The crate makes her feel safe. She is a wonderful little dog. She is really doing great in her foster home. We think the best home for Missy is a home with a partially or fully retired person or someone who has a quieter home. She would be great with someone that is more to themselves and doesn’t have a houseful of people everyday. She is a nice dog and when she is afraid she will retreat to her crate. She is getting lots of attention in her foster home and is doing great. She wouldn’t require a huge yard but a fenced one would be best for this girl. She can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is currently in Texas in foster care. She is getting her vaccinations and will be spayed soon. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Hey there, looking for a spicy Chihuahua that wants nothing more than to crawl into his person's soul and live there for eternity? Look no further than Alejandro. He's a 2 year old, 10lbs Chi who picks his person and will worship her/him until his last day (who are we kidding, he's a Chihuahua so he will live until he's 20 just to prove a point and to get the last laugh). Alejandro is as devoted as the day is long - to one person. He's cordial and superficially friendly to others in the home, as they become his distant second when his primary person is not home - yes, he pouts on his dog bed, then eventually and begrudgingly will come over for some surrogate snuggles. Fearful? Of course, he's a Chihuahua! Housetrained? Nope, he's a Chihuahua (although he sports disposable and washable belly bands like the latest fashion trend - he has quite the collection and is waiting on his Eddie Bauer modeling contract). If you have a landlord and close neighbors - probably not a great idea. He has proven that he will try to run them down and out of "his" yard. And to answer your question about the Santa photos, yes, he did try to bite Santa Claus - twice. What does Alejandro like? Food! In every way, shape, and form. Pup Cups from any coffee shop - he is a true connoisseur. Getting dressed up? Yep, he loves being warm AND fashionable. He ADORES being snuggled in blankets and being plastered up against his person like an extra appendage. You will never be cold (or alone) again, and neither will he! Friendly dogs who aren't all up in his face - he wants to play! If dogs get in his face, like one of his big, young, derpy Mastiff mix foster siblings, he has no problem latching onto a gowl to say knock it off jerk. Cats? Nope, unless they enjoy being chased for no good reason other than for existing and breathing. Kids? Only 11 years old and older (especially girls, he's all about charming the young ladies - he's a true gentleman at heart, but shhh, don't tell him that!). So if anyone out there is looking for a half lil' monster and half super charmer, please contact his talent agent Michelle at michelle.p@poainc.org AND complete an adoption application ASAP at www.poainc.org. Hurry, telephone operators and online volunteers are standing by to make this love connection!

Story
7 months old Ned is a very sweet pup, who has the most soulful eyes, and adorable disposition. He is extremely loving, smart and funny pup. Neddy is a very submissive pup, who loves his foster siblings and his humans, and does not mind sharing his food, toys with them. He does not currently live with cats but he is so sweet, and a puppy, so he will be able to get along with kitties with proper introduction. His foster mom takes him to the lab where her colleagues adore him, and he also plays with their pups, and enjoy the whole day, and snoozes when tired. Ned loves being petted and he gives lot of affection in return. He usually sleeps with his foster human sister. He is about 7 months old, 16 lb and fully vetted, neutered, chipped and heartworm negative. He is kept on heartworm and flea preventative. Ned is a perfect puppy for the right parent, and would love a home where he can get a lot of affection and love. He is still a puppy, so he is looking for a patient family, who will have the time for him. Ned is currently being fostered in Houston, but can be transported to anywhere in the States and Canada to the right home. His adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, Harness and Interstate Health Certificate for our out of state adopters. To meet this gorgeous pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. We need the parents to be patient and compassionate towards the changes that these pups are undergoing, being taken away from a home they came to know as their own to a new environment. 3-3-3 Rule of Adoption must be followed at all times to make adoption successful. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued from our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank You for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
Meet Autumn. she is currently located in Mobile, Alabama, but can be transported to your area. Princess Autumn: A Fairytale in Fur ?? Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, there lived a tiny princess named Autumn — a 3½-year-old Chihuahua–Red Heeler mix with a heart as golden as the fall leaves she’s named for. Though she may be small, don’t be fooled — this royal lady rules her kingdom with grace, charm, and just a touch of sass. Princess Autumn loves her loyal subjects (especially those who come bearing treats and belly rubs). She has the daintiest paws, the warmest eyes, and a regal sense of loyalty to her chosen humans. She’s brave like a Heeler knight but carries herself with the elegance of a Chihuahua queen — the perfect blend of courage and cuddle. Her favorite pastime? Lounging upon soft pillows, gazing out windows as if surveying her realm, and occasionally gracing her royal courtiers (that’s you!) with kisses. Princess Autumn dreams of a castle where love is endless, meals arrive on time, and her people understand that every princess needs her space — and her snuggles. So polish your crown and prepare your heart — because once Princess Autumn claims you as her forever subject, your kingdom will be filled with loyalty, laughter, and love ever after. ??? This pet is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, has received parasite prevention, and will be neutered before adoption. All of this is included in the adoption fee. Ready to give this sweet angel the forever home they deserves? Apply here: https://form.jotform.com/223088351047151 If your application is a good fit, a team member will reach out to schedule a Facetime or What’s App meet and greet so you can see this baby’s loving personality in action.
