Story
Starlily lost her humans after spending 11 years with them. She is spry for her age and looking for a new home to spend her seniors years. We recommend she be fed alone as she tends to love her food and want to keep it all to herself. She gets along with dogs, cats, and kids. She is not a big lap dog but will instead lay beside you and loves to get tummy rubs.May 29, 2023, 9:39 am

Story
Update Tinsley is doing well and we hope within the next couple weeks we will have a good understanding of her medical needs right now she only needs added iron to her diet. She may or may not need this long term. She is At a good weight for her as she has gained a few pounds. Tinsley is looking for a home where she will be the only dog. She will not be a dog that will interact with your family's other dog's friend's neighbor's a dog coming down the street this will be unsafe for both her and the other dogs. I think she could Exist with Cats as she does well with the resident cat. Tinsley definitely likes her kennel and quiet time but she will come up and interact with you as she wants. She is really loving her toys and has come out of her shell as far as playing with them including fetch. She would love a fence didn't yard as on these 80? days you will catch her outside most of the time. Tinsley is very vocal and she will growl when she doesn't like anything she has never shown any aggression to bite or anything else however we feel that this means she would do best in a home with teenage children or older that recognize this is not something to tease her about and will leave her alone when she asked. Tensely does like to sleep in the bed at night but she doesn't need help getting up there and will leave if she is crowded or gets too hot. Get your application in this is just a sweet sweet old girl that deserves to have a family of her own she will remain in Foster until she finds that perfect family.Update: Tinsley is coming out of her shell and is eating great with dry food and a little bit of wet mixed in, she loves chicken as a treat, and other people food. Tinsley loves her walks, going outside, She would love a fenced in yard to spend her warm days in. Tinsley is not a cuddly dog, and will get stressed if she is given too much attention when NOT on her terms. She loves butt scratches when she asks for them, but mostly will be in her kennel or a dog bed relaxing. I think given time and on Her terms she will continue to come out of her shell, as she has in foster, but pushing her will give her stress and she stops eating. If you have a quiet home and do not need a dog in your face all the time, Tinsley may be the girl for you when she becomes available. Update from her Foster Tinsley is settling in to a Foster life with 3 of the dogs she definitely does not want to be in a home with dogs that will get in her face, or play with her at all but I think she could coexist with another quiet older dog. She is house trained and really likes to have the solitude of her kennel and different doggy beds throughout the house. She's a sweet sweet girl that loves her treats does prefer soft food over hard but will eat the hard when it's mixed in and softened a little bit. Tinsley loves to go outside she loves to explore the fenced in yard and she would love to have one of her very own. If you think Tinsley would be a good fit for you please apply at taps. Tinsley is chihuhua mix estimated to be about 10 years old. Don't let her age fool you; she still has some energy. She loves to take her time exploring on her walks and adores attention. As one could expect, her teeth are weak so wet food & soft treats for her. She is people friendly but Will prefer to be an only pet.If you are interested in this sweet senior, please apply at tapsshelter.og.

Story
Monty is currently enjoying his time in a foster home! Monty's foster mom says:Monty is a grumpy old man, but with a lot of love still to give. He gives sweet little kisses but grumbles when I kiss him. He loves burrowing under blankets. He has been a picky eater and since he was so skinny, I'm spoiling him with hamburger and chicken. Part of that may have been his dental issues with abscessed teeth which are now resolved. He is a screamer when you try to do things he doesn't like - putting on his collar or his sweater. Makes me think he has been abused before and screams when he is scared. As he gets more secure in feeling safe, I hope that resolves. He comes when called inside and outside. He is mostly potty trained but has marked since he wasn't neutered. He will have accidents if not taken out every couple hours. Puppy pads help during the day.He deserves someone to show him love for the rest of his days. You wont regret the time you have with him.

Story
Dr. Pepper is as sweet as the soft drink! He walks o.k. on a leash but does pull when gets excited. He loves belly rubs! He prefers toys with squeakers over hard toys. He is initially timid but will sit in your lap and give kisses for comfort and security. Give him some time to build his confidence in a home and he will be a great lifelong companion.
