Story
Sweet MAEVE is proof that learning to be loved after so many years and disappointments can take a bit. We are not out of the woods but we are getting close! Maeve means "the cause of great joy" and I am hoping that she will be someone's greatest joy til the end of her days. Also, her pure joy still shines through even after people have let her down so horribly. We are waiting on blood work. She does have a heart murmur (not unusual in an older dog). She has gained some much needed weight and best of all.....she was released for a BATH. I love giving a foster the first bath in rescue. You can see the calm and change as their old life is washed away making room for a fresh new start. Maeve enjoyed the warm water and the oatmeal shampoo. She is now snoring on her bed! More to come!

Story
Timmy is a 4.5 year old 15 lb chihuahua that is super fun and cute! He LOVES to play and is a social butterfly. Timmy is great with other dogs and likes cats. He is child friendly. His person passed away and he found himself at animal control. Timmy has thrombocytopenia that is managed with medication as needed and I/D food daily. He has no major set backs from his medical condition and is fantastic at the vet.

Meet PD, a 10 year old Chihuahua. This little guy is fully potty trained! He has never had a single accident in his foster home. His favorite things are his people, his furry foster brother, belly scratches, being the boss of his household, and his twice a day treats (the only way he takes his medication). PD has been diagnosed with an enlarged heart and a heart murmur, requiring daily medication. Also has kidney concerns which are maintained on a prescription kidney-support diet. He would benefit from losing some weight (he's quite chunky) with light exercise. It will be beneficial for his overall health. PD does not like dogs bigger than he is. He also does not like when his foster brother is getting attention and he isn't, or when someone gets too close while he is on your lap (he can be a bit possessive with his people). This special guy needs a calm and loving home that does not have a lot of new people coming around. He can be very spicy towards new people as he is very protective of his family. His furever family must also be willing to continue caring for his medical needs. He's been the bestest boy in his foster home. PD's $300 adoption fee covers his neuter, vaccines, heartworm test, flea/tick/heartworm preventatives, deworming medication, and microchip registration. Chico is a 10 lb chihuahua mix guessed to be 10+ years old. Chico is crate and house trained. Chico is a very calm laid back guy but the longer he’s here the more he lets us learn about himself. He is showing more and more of his colors! Don’t let the senior tag fool you, he likes a good play session! So far he is not a lap dog but perches behind my head or will sit next to me. Chico has started running and playing outside with the younger dogs. After a short outside play time he’s very happy to come inside and rest. He is also finding that the soft treat time is his favorite time. Our adoption fee is $350 for dogs over 5 months of age and includes all vaccinations, spay/neuter, micro chip implantation and registration/transfer, heartworm test and much more. Puppies up to 6 months of age are $400 and this includes all sets of puppy vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip implantation and registration and more.
