Meet Vivi! Vivi was found as a stray and ended up in animal control before coming to rescue. She is estimated to be around 10 years old, but she definitely didn’t get the memo—Vivi has plenty of energy and a tail that seems to wag nonstop. She’s a happy, curious girl who loves to be part of the action. If something moves, Vivi wants to check it out! She enjoys playing and still has a fun, youthful spirit. Vivi is a smart girl who knows “sit” and understands “no.” She appears eager to please and is learning that calm behavior earns attention and pets. She is also very good motivated. 😉 She’s quiet in her kennel, keeps it clean, and has not been destructive in her foster home. After a couple of initial accidents (normal when adjusting to a new home), she’s doing well going potty outside. She LOVES walks and belly rubs!! Vivi has met the resident dog in her foster home and did fine, but she can be a little enthusiastic and barky and is still learning doggy boundaries. Because of this, she will need slow introductions with other dogs. Vivi can also be a little sneaky around doors, so adopters will need to be careful when coming and going. She should not be off leash unless in a securely fenced area, as she does enjoy running. She is not a fan of small squeaky fast-moving kids but older kids are ok. Vivi is not a fan of apartments and wants to protect her owner so will bark at strangers. A house with a fenced yard is best for Vivi. # Meet Little Bit ❤️ Little Bit aka Ramona originally came to us from a hoarding case in Arkansas in 2024. She was adopted, but sadly, her owner now has to move out of the country, so Little Bit is back with us and looking for her forever home. Little Bit is a **very special little Chihuahua** who needs an adopter willing to understand and respect her boundaries. She can be incredibly cuddly—but it has to be on her terms. She will happily let you pet her with one hand, but she does not like being approached or touched with two hands. Because of this, picking her up can be challenging, and she may bite if she feels scared or trapped. She is kennel trained, but she also enjoys sleeping in bed with her person. She is potty trained and does well using a doggy door or potty pad. She gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. Little Bit **requires another confident, friendly dog in the home**. Having a canine companion gives her comfort and confidence and helps her feel more secure in her surroundings. We are looking for an **adult-only home with Chihuahua experience** that understands her quirks and will give her the time, patience, and respect she needs to feel safe. A **securely fenced yard is required**, as Little Bit is not comfortable being leashed and you will not be able to safely put a leash on her. 🍑 Meet Peaches — A Little Peach of a Chihuahua! Just as her name suggests, **Peaches is an absolute peach!** 🍑 This adorable **5-month-old Chihuahua currently weighs about 5 pounds** and is growing into a sweet, playful little girl with plenty of personality. Peaches came to us with six other Chihuahuas and absolutely loves having doggy friends around. Her favorite thing in the world is **running and playing in the yard with her Chihuahua buddies**. She especially enjoys the company of other small dogs and would love a home with a playful little canine friend. Peaches is doing fantastic with her potty training! She knows how to use a potty pad and also happily heads outside through the doggy door. **She has not been having accidents on the floor**, which is pretty impressive for such a young pup! She is still learning that being picked up isn't something to worry about. She's **not leash trained yet and isn't particularly fond of being picked up**, but here's the sweet part—once she's safely in your arms, she settles in and **loves to cuddle**. ❤️ She just needs more gentle handling and positive experiences to help her learn that being picked up means good things are coming. Meet Freckles! 🐾❤️ It's pretty easy to see how this adorable long-haired Chihuahua got her name! Freckles is an absolutely precious little girl who came into our rescue with **six other Chihuahuas**, and this group has a blast together. They love racing around the backyard and playing together, and Freckles is always happy to join in on the fun! She is 4.5 lb and 2 years old. But when playtime is over, Freckles turns into a **total snuggle bug**. She loves cuddling on the couch and firmly believes that bedtime means sleeping with her mom. 😴❤️ Freckles does like to make her opinions known when new dogs or people come over. She can be a bit barky when visitors arrive, so a home with **shared walls, such as an apartment, condo, or townhome, may not be the best fit** for her. Once she knows her dog friends, though, she does great with other dogs. Freckles is **potty trained** and knows how to use a doggy door. If you leave a potty pad out, she'll use that too. She is not leash trained yet, so her new family will need to be patient and help her learn that skill. A secure fence is best for her right now until she learns this skill since she is so afraid outside of her home. Sadly, his owner is moving and is unable to take Jeb along, so this sweet boy is coming back to Camp Companion to find his next forever home. Jeb is a happy, playful, affectionate little guy who absolutely LOVES his people. Personal space? Jeb has never heard of it! 😂 If you sit down, there’s a very good chance he’ll be right there beside you, ready for cuddles and attention. He loves snuggling under the blankets. He does have a lot of energy and would love a fenced yard to burn that off. Jeb loves to play and especially enjoys having other dogs around.
