Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Are you looking for a pup that is playful yet also  loves to snuggle? If yes Luna might be the dog for you! Are you looking for a dog that has loads of personality? Luna might be the one for you! Luna was born on 1/18/23. She has playful puppy energy and curiosity. She enjoys being with her family- human and canine. She will have bursts of high energy and then just as quickly curl up to take a nap. She thoroughly enjoys chew toys and is very food motivated! She gets so excited for her meals that she jumps up on you and if you aren’t fast enough she’ll demand bark. Her foster is working on teaching her that is rude behavior and that sitting nicely brings dinner faster! She is potty trained on a schedule- on occasion will have an accident if you don’t see her cues. Luna walks well on a leash and enjoys exploring the neighborhood. She gets along well with other dogs but prefers larger, calmer dogs. She met a cat and was curious but not aggressive. Luna sleeps well in her kennel at night. Luna has tested positive for Lyme Disease and Anaplasmosis (another tick borne disease). Many dogs live with these conditions with no symptoms but there is the possibility of flare-ups throughout their life.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination. Story
Snapshot of Foxalini: Size? Small Activity Level? I can run circles around the yard if you let me! But I'm generally low energy. Noise Level? I bark when I want something but its nothing excessive. Good with Dogs? I love other dogs! Good with Cats? Cats are SO boring! I ignore them. Good with Kids? I love little ones after I'm settled in! Good with Strangers? I'm a little nervous at first. But once I'm comfortable I love everyone! Potty Trained? Yep! Crate Trained? I cry in my crate. But I do well when left outside of one! Shedding? I don't shed much! About Foxalini: Foxalini is an adorable chihuahua mix. We aren't sure what the "mix" part is but based on her long legs, we assume it's part deer. She came to us from a reservation and we aren't sure what her life was like there. But when she first arrived she was quite scared and shy. When she learned we had yummy treats, soft beds, and gentle pets she quickly became comfortable and is SUCH a different dog now than when she first walked through our door. She enjoys chasing our cattle dog mix around the yard and then when she's feeling really fast she pushes him to chase her. But her long legs help her glide through the yard and it's quite impressive to see her out run a dog that's 5 times her size! When they're both tired out she comes inside and snuggles with our elderly dachshund. She's met a couple other dogs of varying sizes as well and did great with them all! We have cats too and Foxlini ignores them. Although she would probably cuddle with one of the cats if they wanted to cuddle with her. She loves to play with our 4 year old daughter as well and will often choose her lap to curl up in over ours if our daughter sits still long enough for her to get comfortable. She can be a little clingy at times. But we haven't had any issues when she is left in the house without humans. We think the other dogs help comfort her so being adopted into a home with another dog would be really beneficial! She would be fine in a home without a fenced yard too. But she really loves to run freely in our yard so having a fence is an added bonus! Otherwise, Foxalini's only other requests for her new home are patience while she settles in and the ability to sleep in bed with her humans at night. She loves fluffy comforters and sleeping right next to you! Foxalini is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for her age. Story
Harper is 6 years old. Are you looking for a playmate for your dog? Harper is your girl. She LOVES tiny little dogs. Those are her favorite. Oh Harper, she is a funny girl. She likes to rearrange blankets and drag them across the room to the pile of toys and bones she has collected. She LOVES to wrestle and play with the dogs in the foster home. She is great with the cat. Harper is potty trained to the doggie door but will also use a potty pad if needed. Harper came from a hoarding case and prefers the company of other dogs more than people. When she has her dog friends around she is confident and will follow you everywhere and is a happy funny girl with tail wagging away. She is semi-feral when it comes to people. She doesn't want people to touch her but she will dance for you with excitement when you get home from work. She has 2 requirements if adopting: Must have a Fence and another dog. The perfect home for Harper is a someone who is ok with a dog who doesn't want to go for walks or in the car. That you are ok with her just being a dog with dog friends. And a fenced yard, doggie door is a plus as she doesn't want you to stand in the doorway for her to go outside. She has been in rescue for 2 years now and has gotten a little chubby. :) Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org Email questions to Lori@campcompanion.org Adoption fee is $300 plus tax

Story
Chrissy came from a shelter in Arkansas after her owner died. She is a sweet senior chihuahua who lives with dogs and cats. She is looking for a chihuahua savvy owner who enjoys watching movies on the couch and going for strolls outside. Chrissy LOVES to go for walks and is very gentle on the leash. You can walk her with the leash in your pinkie. She is able to jump up on the couch with you. At times she doesn't want to be picked up. She is potty trained. She loves the fenced yard but walks great on a leash. Her hearing isn't the best anymore. She can be a little moody so reading her body language has been very successful in keeping things smooth. She does not care for strangers coming up to her to pet her without her permission. Are you looking for a sweet/ sometimes salty companion? Side kick? Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org Adoption fee is $300 plus tax.

Story
Kila and her friend AJ were left in an overnight drop box at an overcrowded shelter. Kila is a little lap dog and wonderful cuddler. She follows you everywhere and sleeps with you under the covers. She loves to be carried around or taken places with you. Kila is a hospice adoption. She came with a hand full of health issues. She has a hernia, grade 4 heart murmur, mammary tumors, luxating patella's, bad teeth. Due to her knees, she walks funny, and she has a hunched back. She is 12 years old and a whole 5.5 lbs and we have been trying to put weight on her for 2 months. Blood work is actually pretty good for Kila. We have scheduled surgery multiple times but had to cancel due to now having mini seizures. Kila is on a very low dose of Enalapril for her heart murmur. We would call her our little hot mess express. But Kila is a happy girl. She loves to follow you everywhere you go and if you sit, she sits right by your side. She is a master of the pretzel position when she is sleeping. So if you have a heart for hospice, Kila is available for adoption. She is house broken but she has to potty often so someone who is home alot to let her out. She uses the doggy door at her foster home. She isn't a huge fan of big dogs. Dogs 15 lbs and under she is fine with. Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org Kila does qualify for the senior for senior program and her adoption fee is waived if you are 63 or older. Please consider a donation to help us support this program to help senior dogs like Kila. Find our donation button on our website.
