Story
Ella Mae has arrived from Mexico! This sweet girl has had a tough life but is looking forward to a new beginning! She is so sweet & gentle natured. She's calm but loves to explore. She is looking forward to a slow retirement home filled with love! Age: 12 Breed:  Chi Mix Weight:  12 lbs Kid-friendly: Great with kiddos but she is shy so we recommend older kiddos. Dogs: She's pretty bossy so she would need a very tolerant dog. She likes to bark orders! Cats: Yes but again, bossy ;) Crate trained: Yes! Potty trained: Yes! Health concerns: She only has two teeth! Adoption fee: $175 As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us.      Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.) Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine. $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test, a microchip, and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.  Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience. We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation. Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days. Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!  February 4, 2024, 9:22 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sissy is a sweet, gentle, playful little girl.  She enjoys being outside in the yard and laying in the sun, and she loves to run and play with other small dogs in her foster home.  A fenced in yard would be best for Sissy allowing her to go in/out independently to do her business.  She enjoys going on walks, she is potty trained, and loves playing and chewing on toys. It will be important to have another small dog in Sissy’s forever home so she continues to learn to trust people.  Sissy is not aggressive; she is just cautious when meeting new people and it is important to let her settle in on her timeline.  Sissy does enjoy a good rub and likes to join you on the couch once she trusts you.   Now that she trusts us, one of her favorite times of day is when she is allowed up on our bed in the morning with our dogs where she gets lots of love and rubs!  She will cuddle into us and nudge our hands for more rubs.   At this time Sissy doesn’t like to be kissed on the head, or cared to be picked up but if you pick her up, she will stay in your lap for some petting.  With patience, time, and the influence of her small furry siblings, Sissy’s confidence has grown daily! Sissy’s sweet playful side shines through every day!  She would be a wonderful companion for another small playful dog.  She currently lives with small dogs and adults.  Energetic large dogs and small kids make her nervous.  Older respectful teenage children should be okay.  A large dog that is quiet and low keyed should be fine with slow introductions.  A quieter household without a lot of visitors would make Sissy most comfortable.   If you are looking for a sweet, gentle, even-tempered dog who’d love to play with your small dog, then Sissy may be your girl.   Everyday she shows us what a wonderful girl she is blossoming into!  It will be important to be patient with her to earn her trust, to have a quieter home with no young kids or high energy large dogs.  Sissy would be fine hanging out in another room with a “safe space” if young kids visited.   A fenced in yard would be the perfect home for Sissy.  Fill out an application, I’d love to tell you about this sweet girl!  Sissy is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Pixel! Pixel was rescued from a situation where she and her family were not given the care they needed. When found, she was covered in urine and feces and was underfed. Thankfully, she's now thriving in a foster home where she's receiving the attention and care she deserves. Pixel is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. She's curious, enjoys kisses, and has a lot of energy for running, jumping, and playing. Sunbathing is one of her favorite pastimes. Pixel is currently working on potty training and is doing great! Her daily routine starts at 6 am with breakfast, followed by a 20-minute trip outside. She's crated while her foster parents are at work, although she doesn't enjoy being crated and may whine a bit before settling down. Dinner is at 6 pm, and then she gets an hour of outdoor playtime with the other dogs. After that, she comes inside to play until bedtime around 10 pm. Pixel is very playful and can be a bit mischievous. She loves playing with other dogs. She may initially bark at new people, however, she quickly warms up to new people and showers them with cuddles. Pixel would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to give her the attention she loves. She would also love to have a furry sibling or regular paydates with another dog!  If you're looking for a lively, loving pup to add to your family, Pixel could be the perfect fit! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Orchid! Orchid was rescued from a tough situation where she and her family were not properly cared for. When she was found, she was covered in urine and feces, and underfed. But since then, she's blossomed into a loving and curious dog who adores attention and cuddles. Orchid loves to run, jump, and sunbathe. She's very affectionate and enjoys being around her foster parents, often following them around like a little shadow. However, she's not a fan of being crated and will make you chase her around the house when it's time to go in. She's currently working on potty training and doing well with a consistent schedule. Orchid's daily routine starts with breakfast at 6 am, followed by a quick trip outside. She spends the day in her crate while her foster parents are at work, although she doesn't like it and may whine a bit before settling down. Dinner is at 6 pm, and she gets an hour of outdoor playtime with the other dogs before coming inside to play some more.  Orchid loves playing with other dogs and would benefit from having a canine companion to keep her entertained. She's very loving and would do best in a home where someone is around more often than not. While she barks when someone new enters the house, she quickly warms up and showers them with cuddles and kisses. If you're looking for a playful and affectionate dog who loves to be around people and other dogs, Orchid might be the perfect addition to your family!
