Story
Meet Adrian! Adrian’s story is one of resilience, hope, and a second chance he truly deserves. He was rescued by The Sato Project from a horrific hoarding case in Manatí, Puerto Rico, where he lived crammed inside a home with more than 30 other dogs. Despite everything he endured, Adrian has shown incredible strength and a gentle spirit. Now healthy, safe, and thriving, Adrian is ready for his new beginning. He is estimated to be 2–3 years old and weighs 20 lbs — the perfect compact companion. This sweet boy will be flying to Morristown, NJ on December 28th to meet his future family and start his new life. Because of his past, Adrian will need a loving, patient, and understanding home — one that will give him time, kindness, and reassurance as he adjusts to a world that is finally safe. In return, he has so much love to give and is eager to bond with the humans who show him compassion. If you’re looking to make a real difference in a dog’s life and welcome a gentle soul into your home, Adrian is ready for his happily ever after. Story
I was a going through a rough patch in my teen years and I was gifted a Shih Tzu, whom i loved dearly. She cured me in a way and I will forever be grateful to have met her. Unfortunately she passed, she was only 3 years old. Before leaving me she somehow got pregnant with the neighbors chiwawa (I wasn’t aware until the baby’s were the spitting image of the father). She watched them turn 2 months old then passed due to rat poison she found in our yard. She gave birth to two babies. I couldn’t betray her and give them up easily so I fought to keep them, I got a job at 16 to pay for their food, lifestyle and vet check ups. I am now 20 and living alone, struggling with too many things at once, I can’t afford to keep them nor are the allowed in my building where I rent. These boys have been through everything with me. They love to play and go on walks. They were mauled by a pitbull that jumped into our yard three years ago and have not been able to trust other dogs since.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Milo came from a large hoarding situation with more than 50 dogs, so he is still learning that people can be safe and kind. He may be a little shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, Milo forms a deep bond with his person. In foster care, he has become incredibly affectionate — even jumping into his foster’s arms for cuddles once he trusts you! Milo would do best in a calm, quiet home where he can decompress and continue to build confidence at his own pace. He can still be a little nervous or skittish at times, so a patient adopter who will give him love, time, and reassurance will help him truly blossom. Because of this, he would do best in a home without young children. He enjoys the company of other dogs and could do well with a canine companion. Milo also ignores cats, preferring to simply observe them from afar. Milo is housebroken with only an occasional accident, walks well on a leash, and is eager to learn. While he doesn’t know many basic commands yet, he’s a smart boy who is quick to pick things up. Once Milo bonds with you, he becomes your loyal shadow — happy to curl up beside you, follow you from room to room, and share quiet moments together. He has so much love to give to the person who gives him the chance he deserves. If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted companion and are willing to help a shy dog continue to grow, Milo may be the perfect fit. Milo is up to date on vaccines and is fixed. His adoption fee is $450.    Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Chanel and Velani are bonded and will only be adopted together Meet Velani    This tiny chihuahua girl is as beautiful as her name! Velani came to us from a hoarding situation, and though her past wasn’t easy, she’s taking her first brave steps toward a brighter, love&#226&#128&#145filled future.    She’s a little shy at first, but behind those soulful eyes is the sweetest, most gentle spirit. Once she feels safe, she absolutely melts in your arms — it’s where she feels most content and loved.    Velani has met her foster siblings (both dogs and a cat!) and handled it with quiet grace — she just prefers they give her a little space until she’s comfortable. After all, not everyone appreciates a bouncy nose right in their face!    We’re still getting to know this precious girl, but one thing is already clear: Velani’s heart is ready to heal with the help of someone kind and patient. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will forever be grateful for your love, this sweet soul might just be the one.    She will be up to date on vaccines.
