Sherman is with our partner rescue in LA and can come to NJ with an approved foster or adopter Meet Sherman, an 8-month-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix weighing about 15 pounds. This little guy didn’t have the best start—he spent much of his early life confined to a crate, so the world still feels a bit scary to him. Sherman is shy and may run and hide at first, but he is not mean—just a gentle, scared puppy who needs time to feel safe. With patience, love, and a calm home, Sherman has so much potential to blossom into a loyal, loving companion. He’s looking for someone willing to go slow and show him that life can be good. If you have a soft spot for the shy ones, Sherman is waiting for you. Sherman is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. He is neutered and has a microchip. His adoption fee is $6 00. This adorable Chihuahua mix was rescued off the streets alongside his brother, Tweety, and he’s been making up for lost time with affection ever since. Mookie is about 5 years old and full of charm. He’s incredibly sweet and gentle—even with the tiniest puppies—and has a soft, loving nature that makes everyone fall for him. He’s kennel-trained, quickly learned to use a doggy door in his foster home, and settles in nicely with a little routine. And when he’s happy? BRIE is a spayed 3 yo Chiweenie who is the sweetest most gentle little lady considering she had been used for breeding probably her whole life. She is loving and calm but is possessive of her toys. Does well with other dogs large and small but we're not sure of young children. Teens would probably be ok. PEPPER JACK better known as PJ is 2 yo neutered bundle of non-stop energy. He is a loving, licking, nibbling little boy who would do well with another playmate around his size. He weighs about 12 lbs and does well with large and small dogs who are patient with his antics. PJ is working on his house manners. He is also crate and wee wee pad trained. PJ came from the same small back woods animal shelter as BRIE and shows a fear of men. It takes quite a while for him to warm up but once he does watch out...he'll be all over you. Story

Tory was part of a massive owner surrender of 40 dogs and puppies. We were able to divert 11 (2 Moms and 9 puppies) so they never had to spend a day in the shelter. The puppies are old enough now to go off on their own to new homes (about 10 weeks old as of August 10). They are up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and will be neutered/spayed under the rescue at 6 months of age. They are social, affectionate, playful and very tiny at only 4-5 pounds currently. Due to their size, we can not consider homes with small children. Interested in adopting me?
