Story
Meet Tyler 2–3 years old | 15 lbs | Arriving in Morristown, NJ on December 28th Tyler is a quiet, gentle pup who has already come a long way — and now he's ready to take the next step toward the loving home he deserves. He was rescued by The Sato Project from a heartbreaking hoarding case in Manatí, Puerto Rico, where he lived in a small home with more than 30 other dogs. After such a tough beginning, Tyler is now healthy and preparing to fly to Morristown, NJ, where he hopes a kind, patient family will be waiting to welcome him. Tyler is shy and timid, especially in new situations, but there’s a softness in him that shines through. With time, consistency, and gentle love, he will begin to trust and show his true personality — a quiet companion who just wants to feel safe. He would do best in a calm, understanding home, possibly with another gentle dog to help guide him. He doesn't need much — just someone who will give him space, patience, and the love he's never truly known. If you're the kind of person who finds beauty in helping a shy dog feel brave, Tyler may be your perfect match. To Adopt: Fill out an application at thesatoproject.org/applicationform. Questions? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Velani is in NJ waiting for a foster or adopter Meet Velani    This tiny chihuahua girl is as beautiful as her name! Velani came to us from a hoarding situation, and though her past wasn’t easy, she’s taking her first brave steps toward a brighter, love&#226&#128&#145filled future.    She’s a little shy at first, but behind those soulful eyes is the sweetest, most gentle spirit. Once she feels safe, she absolutely melts in your arms — it’s where she feels most content and loved.    Velani has met her foster siblings (both dogs and a cat!) and handled it with quiet grace — she just prefers they give her a little space until she’s comfortable. After all, not everyone appreciates a bouncy nose right in their face!    We’re still getting to know this precious girl, but one thing is already clear: Velani’s heart is ready to heal with the help of someone kind and patient. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will forever be grateful for your love, this sweet soul might just be the one.    She will be up to date on vaccines. Wag On Inn will arrange for neuter at The Spay and Neuter Center of New Jersey in Holmdel. Adopters must live within driving distance of Holmdel, NJ. His adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training  prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Little Sadie is a very sweet girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe place. She is understandably terrified in new environments, but day by day she is making gentle progress. Sadie currently needs to be picked up to go outside for potty breaks, where she will go once placed outdoors. Because she may try to run off and hide when scared, a doggy playpen is strongly recommended until she becomes more comfortable and confident in her surroundings. Sadie is looking for a calm, quiet home with a patient adopter who uses a soft, reassuring voice and understands that trust takes time. She came from a hoarding situation where there were far too many dogs, and it’s likely she did not receive much individual handling or human touch. Because of this, hands can still scare her. For comfort, she is gently picked up using a soft blanket, and she enjoys being placed on the couch to snuggle. While she has made wonderful progress, she is still fearful when it’s time to be picked up and will need continued patience and understanding. Medically, Sadie has mammary tumors that will be removed when she is spayed. She also has a cataract in one eye and possible glaucoma. She has been through so much already and truly deserves a home where she can finally feel safe and loved. Sadie would likely do best in a peaceful home and may do well with older, respectful children (approximately 11 years and up) who can give her space and allow her to open up at her own pace. With time, consistency, and kindness, Sadie will be an incredibly rewarding companion.  Sadie is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm.  Sadie has will be spayed and has a microchip. Her adoption fee is $300.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home. CLICK HERE TO FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Winnie is a sweet, gentle 7-year-old Chiweenie with a shy, sensitive nature. She’s currently in a NJ foster home. Winnie came to us from a hoarding situation and is learning what love feels like for the very first time. She's low-energy and thrives in a calm, cozy home with a predictable routine. Winnie takes time to trust, but shows steady progress and enjoys quiet companionship once she feels safe. She can live with another calm, respectful dog or be perfectly happy as an only dog. Winnie doesn’t seem to mind cats. She’s still learning about potty training, leashes, and collars. This sweet girl needs a calm, patient home that will go at her pace and celebrate every tiny victory.  Winnie is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption.
