Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Little Sadie is a very sweet girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe place. She is understandably terrified in new environments, but day by day she is making gentle progress. Sadie currently needs to be picked up to go outside for potty breaks, where she will go once placed outdoors. Because she may try to run off and hide when scared, a doggy playpen is strongly recommended until she becomes more comfortable and confident in her surroundings. Sadie is looking for a calm, quiet home with a patient adopter who uses a soft, reassuring voice and understands that trust takes time. She came from a hoarding situation where there were far too many dogs, and it’s likely she did not receive much individual handling or human touch. Because of this, hands can still scare her. For comfort, she is gently picked up using a soft blanket, and she enjoys being placed on the couch to snuggle. While she has made wonderful progress, she is still fearful when it’s time to be picked up and will need continued patience and understanding. Medically, Sadie has mammary tumors that will be removed when she is spayed. She also has a cataract in one eye and possible glaucoma. She has been through so much already and truly deserves a home where she can finally feel safe and loved. Sadie would likely do best in a peaceful home and may do well with older, respectful children (approximately 11 years and up) who can give her space and allow her to open up at her own pace. With time, consistency, and kindness, Sadie will be an incredibly rewarding companion.  Sadie is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm.  Sadie has will be spayed and has a microchip. Her adoption fee is $300.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home. CLICK HERE TO FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rolo is with our rescue partner in Louisiana and can come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter. Rolo came from a hoarding situation with more than fifty dogs, and he is still learning what it means to feel safe. He is very timid and easily frightened, so he will need a patient family who understands that trust takes time. A calm, quieter household where someone is home more often would be the best fit for him. Rolo is an independent boy who enjoys observing the world at his own pace. He loves the company of other dogs and feels comforted when he has canine friends around. Soft dog beds and stuffed toys are his favorite things, and he relaxes most when he has a cozy spot to call his own. With time, gentleness, and stability, Rolo will continue to come out of his shell. He has a tender spirit and will blossom in the right home. If you are looking for a sweet, sensitive dog who needs a safe place to land, Rolo may be the one. Rolo is up to date on vaccines and is fixed. His   adoption fee is $450.    Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. Nyla,  pronounced Nala, is a sweet, special girl who is looking for a new home.  Nyla came to us from our owner surrender program. She is unsure of new people at first but she just needs a little adjustment and quiet she needs a calm sweet voice so that she can feel safe.  She lived with another dog in the home so we believe she will do well with another dog who will not bother her.  Once she feels safe in a home, she truly is very sweet and loving.  This girl loves her belly rubs and scratches behind her ear.  A calm quiet home would be best suited for her &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 .  She will bark at strangers and she also is on a special diet for stomach sensitivities. She might not be able to hear as well because of her ears hematomas  Nyla is microchipped and up to date on vaccines, heartworm and flea & tick preventatives. She tested negative for heartworm. She will not be available for adoption until medically cleared most likely not prior to February.  Her adoption fee is $300.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Pixie, a tiny girl with a big heart who’s learning what it means to be loved.  Pixie came from a hoarding situation where she didn’t get much affection, so new things and new people can still feel a little scary. But once she warms up, her gentle, happy personality shines through! She’s sweet, treat&#226&#128&#145motivated, and finds comfort in her crate.   Pixie is learning the ropes — house training, leash walking, and most importantly, that people can be kind. She does well with calm dogs and cats, but would prefer a quiet home with patient humans and maybe a friendly doggy friend who won’t overwhelm her. With time, love, and reassurance, Pixie will blossom into the confident pup she’s meant to be.    If you have an open heart and a calm home, Pixie would love to meet you.    Pixie is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm.  Pixie will be spayed and has a microchip. Her adoption fee is $500.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption.
