In her foster home, Aubrey has been exposed to cats and has shown little curiosity about them, respectfully keeping her distance—especially since most of them are her size or even bigger! She’s also getting to know her foster’s bulldog and beagle, taking her time to make friends in her own gentle way. She loves exploring the world on walks and is still learning her leash manners, but one thing is certain—Aubrey doesn’t just walk, she prances! She even has an adorable little hop that will make you smile every time. Finding a stick? That’s a major victory in her book! She’s just discovering toys and is even starting to play fetch—a whole new adventure for her. At first, she may be a bit shy, but once she feels safe, she’ll reward you with sweet little butterfly kisses and endless love. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is just as happy curled up on the couch as she is resting in her crate. She’s making progress on her house training and will need a little extra guidance, but with patience and love, she’ll get there! Meet Reese and Rocky. This adorable pair of dogs was surrendered to the shelter when their person's house burnt down and they became homeless. Rocky is 15, spry, and very cuddly. He runs pretty fast for a 15 year old! Reese is 7, and also very snuggly. These dogs have only known each other so we are committed to keeping them together. Edith came to our rescue from a rural shelter where she had suffered from pyometria, an infection of the uterus that is 100% preventable if her previous owner had spayed her before. She has since been spayed, microchipped, is up to date on vaccines and HW-. She is a quiet house guest in her foster home, and enjoys laying on the orthopedic bed. She went to her first adoption event yesterday and enjoyed sitting in a volunteers lap the whole time! She is sweet and would be fine as an only dog, or with another nice chill dog. She gets along fine with other dogs, but could also be alright on her own. She can be scared of new people, but once she trusts you she will cuddle next to you and accept pets. Meet Igor! Don't let his name fool you. This dog is seriously sweet and SERIOUSLY cuddly. He loves to curl up in a bucket dog bed on his human's bed and snooze. When he entered our care he had a gnarly skin and mouth infection. We have treated his skin with medicines and his hair is starting to slowly grow back. We got him a dental as well, and he is feeling better already! Igor is being loved at Neshama as a sanctuary dog with a loving foster and is not available for adoption.
