Story
Meet Freddy 🖍️This overgrown cottonball here is Freddy, a 1 year old chihuahua. He’s right in that fun teenager stage, where he’s not quite a puppy but also still needs a little bit of training. Now, Freddy here is very much so a typical chihuahua. He yaps, he wants to be the center of your attention, and he will on occasion try to nip. He does really well around the people he knows, but around new people or strangers? He will act like the mightiest 9lb guard dog, your most fiercest protector (in his mind)..Freddy does amazing with all other dogs. He can get along with other cats, so long as the cats are friendly towards dogs. He really wants to try and play with cats, so he will chase them around and bark at them. He would do amazing with any dog-friendly cats, or cats that like to play with dogs. As for children, we recommend he either be in a home without kids, or in a home with dog-savvy kiddos who know how to respect his boundaries and not be in his face or dragging him around. Oh, and one very key detail we have learned about Freddy, he absolutely LOVES squeaky toys. They are easily the quickest way to get to his heart.Freddy is a spunky little guy full of love and energy, and he’s ready to find his person or people to give all of his little heart to. 🐾

Story
Bingo is a deer head chihuahua that I got when he was only 8 weeks old. He is now 4 years old, his birthday being 7/30/2021. He will turn 5 this month! He grew up with one cat sibling who he loves very much. However he has never had any interest in befriending other dogs. He’s very afraid of them, especially large ones. He’s much more comfortable around cats. After about a year of having him he started having these sort of episodes, where he would get very off balance and lethargic. I took him to the vet multiple times and finally they decided he was having seizures. So he was put on a seizure medication that he gets every 12 hours. This has put a lot of restrictions on my life as well as his. He’s a very happy energetic dog and would do best if he were the only dog in the home. He deserves to be with someone who will be with him all the time and is able to medicate him and love him and play with him as much as he needs every day. And sadly I can’t be that for him anymore.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.adoption fee $400.00 Dolly is a sweet Chihuahua who is just under one year old and weighs about 14 pounds. While she can be a little shy when meeting new people, this pup blossoms once she knows she's safe and loved. ✅ Potty trained✅ Gets along well with other dogs✅ Learning simple commands Dolly's foster family says that once she's comfortable in her surroundings, she becomes your loyal companion, happily following you from room to room.  When it comes to treats, Dolly definitely has opinions. Meat-only treats, please! This little lady knows exactly what she likes. Dolly would thrive with a patient family willing to give her time to settle in and build confidence. In return, she'll reward you with devotion, companionship, and plenty of adorable shadow-like loyalty. New foster dogs need time to feel safe. They may be skittish or fearful, so always stay with them outside—even in fenced yards. Ensure collars and leashes fit securely to prevent escapes. Your gentle presence and protection help them feel loved and secure. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary.  The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record. Story
What’s up? My name is Papa, and I’m a 2–5-year-old Chihuahua mix looking for someone to give me the chance I deserve.I came from a very difficult situation with over 20 other dogs in August 2025. I didn’t get much human interaction before being rescued, so I can be cautious and nervous when meeting new people. I may seem tough at first, but I’m just waiting for someone I can trust.I need a quiet home with a patient family who will let me adjust at my own pace. A space just for me while I bond with my new family would help me feel safe. I do well with most dogs, but I’m unsure about cats and I’m not comfortable around children. My dream home would have a fenced-in yard where I can relax, play, and enjoy life. I can also learn to use potty pads since I’ve never had a consistent routine.I’ve been here almost a year, and I’m the last of my family still waiting. Once I trust you, you’ll see my true self—I love giving kisses, being held, and showing how sweet I really am. Please give me a chance. I promise I’m worth the wait. ❤️
