Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.$450 adoption fee (available 6/18) Stitch is a sweet 2-year-old Chihuahua mix, weighing in at 15 pounds of pure cuteness! This shy little guy is still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place, but he’s making wonderful progress every day. With a little patience and lots of love, Stitch is starting to open up and show his gentle, affectionate side. He’s doing great with his potty manners and gets along well with other dogs. While he may need a bit of coaxing at first, Stitch has already shown that he enjoys lap cuddles and truly wants to be close to his people. Give him some time, encouragement, and a safe place to land, and Stitch will blossom into the sweetest, most loyal companion—your quiet little shadow who just wants to be near you. New foster dogs need time to feel safe. They may be skittish or fearful, so always stay with them outside—even in fenced yards. Ensure collars and leashes fit securely to prevent escapes. Your gentle presence and protection help them feel loved and secure. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary.  The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record. Story
Hi! My name is Seymour I’m a 6-month-old Chihuahua mix, weighing about 13 lbs, and I’m a big fan of snuggles! I love being close to my people and enjoy spending time with my foster dog siblings. I also do well with children who are gentle with me. Cats? They confuse me a bit, but I don’t mind them at all.I’m looking for a home with a safe, fully fenced yard where I can play and explore. I also require lots of hugs and kisses—and I insist on sleeping under the covers in your bed. I’ll happily use a crate when you’re not home (I’m told it’s for my safety), but when you are home, I want to be right by your side.I love wearing cozy sweaters and fleece jackets and look pretty adorable in them, if I do say so myself. You may notice that I’m missing of one of my back feet. I was either born this way or had an injury when I was very young—but it doesn’t slow me down one bit! Sometimes I walk or run on three legs, and other times I use all four. The vets say it’s callused and causes me no discomfort. I run, jump, and climb stairs just like any other pup.If you’re searching for an energetic little snuggle bug, I might be your perfect match.Oh—and I almost forgot! I am fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.Could I be the one to complete your family? My adoption fee is $350.00. Please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com if you have questions about him.  If you would like to apply for Seymour, please visit our website at www.projecthoperescue.org.  March 9, 2026, 5:54 pm

Story
Princess Lil’ Bits is 7 years old and was my step dad’s doggy before he passed away. I have had this pet about two years. Looking to rehome her and her boyfriend Cha Cha Charlie (6 years old, Rat Terrier Chihuahua mix) to a no pet home and without small or young children. I am unsure of how well the Lil’ Bits is with children other then my nieces and nephews who helped my step dad care for them while he was alive. Looking for a quiet home, possibly a semi-retired couple. Lil’ Bits and Cha Cha Charlie loves lots of attention, affection, belly rubs, and to play in the yard or the house. Also, like to snuggle during naps, or in your bed at night, sometimes they sneak on the bed to notify me they need to use the bathroom.Needs someone who can throw a toy to them and retrieve it for them as they don’t always bring the toy back to the owner (me). High energy, full of lots of love and nose nibbles or I call them love nibbles. Special needs are medication before nail trims or anal gland.

Story
Diego was born on 2/13/2014 and I have owned him since he was 8 weeks old. Diego is a neutered male and has always been very healthy. I do think his vision is starting to get a little cloudy, but he still can see. 🙂 Diego has grown up around other cats and dogs; diego does okay with other small dogs, he loves cats, and young children who dont respect his space or move too fast scare him. Since Diego has gotten older, he loves to spend a majority of his day sleeping or playing with his favorite toy or the cat. Diego loves to be outside when its warm, he picks a shady spot and loves to just enjoy the wind in his whiskers. He is trained to go potty outside and he is trained to hit the bell when he needs to go potty; however, we do put potty pads down for when he is out at night. When its cold, Diego loves to cuddle up next to his human on the couch under the blankets.
