Owen is 9 years young, and never met a lap he didn’t like. He may be a touch shy at first but show him an ounce of affection you have a friend for life. Unfortunately his senior owner went into assisted living and he’s looking for a new best friend. Owen is a good looking little gentleman who loves long walks and belly rubs. He’s great with other dogs but not so much with cats or toddlers. Owen weigh 18 pounds, but is on a diet. He’s vet checked and up to date on his shots. And like a true gentleman he has good manners and is housebroken. This animal is up to date on all shots, dewormed, and spayed/neutered. I was surrendered  to the rescue by my family, because I was nipping at the younger children. There were far too many children(6) to pick on me. I've been with my foster mom for a year now and I think we have a few things straightened out, regarding what kind of a home I need. I'm currently living in a quiet country home with a fenced yard where I can expend some energy chasing the squirrels.. We have a routine and infrequent visitors. There are other little dogs here and we get along fine, but I do not like strange dogs and would be best as an only pet. I like to play with  squeaky toys, rope toys and nyla bones, am reliably house and crate trained and love to ride in the car and snuggle with foster mom when our day is done.  I will be 3 years old soon, weigh 23 lbs. and have the cutest underbite. I am healthy, low maintenance, caught up on all my vaccinations and heart worm negative. I am VERY REACTIVE to new people and situations(stranger danger) and will bark and show fear aggression. I can be worked through this, if you have experience at socializing reactive dogs. It will be a work in progress to help me.
