I was surrendered  to the rescue by my family, because I was nipping at the younger children. There were far too many children(6) to pick on me. I've been with my foster mom for a year now and I think we have a few things straightened out, regarding what kind of a home I need. I'm currently living in a quiet country home with a fenced yard where I can expend some energy chasing the squirrels.. We have a routine and infrequent visitors. There are other little dogs here and we get along fine, but I do not like strange dogs and would be best as an only pet. I like to play with  squeaky toys, rope toys and nyla bones, am reliably house and crate trained and love to ride in the car and snuggle with foster mom when our day is done.  I will be 3 years old soon, weigh 23 lbs. and have the cutest underbite. I am healthy, low maintenance, caught up on all my vaccinations and heart worm negative. I am VERY REACTIVE to new people and situations(stranger danger) and will bark and show fear aggression. I can be worked through this, if you have experience at socializing reactive dogs. It will be a work in progress to help me. Hello, my name is Toby and somehow I was lost.  A nice lady found me and could not find my owner.  Now I am here at Rose's Rescue looking for a new home.  I am a fun happy boy, but my foster mom calls me cry baby because I cry a lot. She says she thinks I am missing someone.  I would do best with another small younger dog in the home for me to connect and play with.  We don't know how I would do with cats.  No young children please. Prefer a home with fenced in area so I can run and play. We have no idea what breeds I am mixed with.  Could be a long haired Chihuahua. Could be Shih Tzu,  Pekinese or Papillon, so let's just just call me  a special boy and leave it at that. Please contact Jamie (jamie@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet. Saylor is an enthusiastic, sweet 18 pound terrier/chihuahua mix. She is a playful 1.5 year old who wants to please. She is easily trained and will do best with continued training to help focus her energy. Saylor is a hunter from the inside....she will spend hours at a window watching wildlife (especially chipmunks), and she has a large bark when she sees something moving outside. She has tried to escape her foster’s fence to chase chipmunks. Saylor will be happiest where she can be active and get a lot of exercise. Her confidence and trust in humans has grown substantially but she needs a gentle hand from those around her to maintain this trust. Saylor gets along with other dogs, she loves to be the center of attention, she is people-oriented and highly attentive to her surroundings. She also settles quickly to cuddle and absorb love. Her adoption fee is $350 All Paws and Prayers animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (age appropriate) and are given monthly flea/heartworm prevention.  Adoption fees also include the pet's spay/neuter and microchipping.  The first step in the adoption process is to complete a no-obligation adoption application at www.pawsandprayers.org.     April 15, 2024, 3:35 pm
