I was surrendered to the rescue by my family, because I was nipping at the younger children. There were far too many children(6) to pick on me. I've been with my foster mom for a year now and I think we have a few things straightened out, regarding what kind of a home I need. I'm currently living in a quiet country home with a fenced yard where I can expend some energy chasing the squirrels.. We have a routine and infrequent visitors. There are other little dogs here and we get along fine, but I do not like strange dogs and would be best as an only pet. I like to play with squeaky toys, rope toys and nyla bones, am reliably house and crate trained and love to ride in the car and snuggle with foster mom when our day is done. I will be 3 years old soon, weigh 23 lbs. and have the cutest underbite. I am healthy, low maintenance, caught up on all my vaccinations and heart worm negative. I am VERY REACTIVE to new people and situations(stranger danger) and will bark and show fear aggression. I can be worked through this, if you have experience at socializing reactive dogs. Banjo comes up readily and sometimes, with an expectant ‘pick me up’ look 😊 He melts into your arms and chest, his head in the curve of your neck 😊 He loves cuddles and affection. Sometimes, Banjo thinks he is a bird. And when he thinks he is a bird, he acts like a bird, He perches on your shoulder. I think he likes the change of scenery 😊😊😊 Banjo plays well with dogs his size or a little bigger. My name is Biscuit. According to the veterinarian, I am one year old and I weigh 18 lbs. I'm a stocky little fellow, a little on the chunky side. I am neutered, up today on my rabies and dhpp vaccines, and I am heartworm negative . I am fostered in Danbury, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. Because my owners are gone so long during the day, I am puppy pad trained. I will potty outside though if taken out. I am good with other dogs and children. I have been around toddlers and infants. I'm not sure about cats because the rescue does not have any. I will bark at a cat if I see one, but will stop barking after a few minutes. I love to play fetch and will bring back to you whatever you throw. I also love belly rubs and will roll over on command for one. I come when I'm called and I know how to sit. I will also walk on my hind legs for a treat. I walked on a leash for the first time for my video. As you can see, I did pretty good. I am very smart and I learn quickly. I love to be with people! I will follow my owner around the house and will snuggle up in the chair with him in the evening. I am very curious and attentive as to what my people are doing. I have I submissive temperament and a happy personality! I am well behaved in the house. I don't try to get in the trash or chew anything up. I have a medium energy level. I have a second video on the rescue website. My name is Chichi! I was born 11/1. I currently weigh 6 pounds.(2/16). I am fostered in Mount Airy, North Carolina, but easy, affordable transportation is available. I am a fun loving, happy little girl! I love to play with toys, other dogs, or anything that I can find on the floor or ground. The rescue is not sure how I am with cats because they don’t have any. I may bark at one, but I’m certainly not big enough to hurt one though. I love to be with people and will follow my foster all over the house. One of my favorite things to do is take long naps snuggled up in her lap. My foster is in a wheelchair and I have learned to stay clear of it. My ears are just starting to stand up.
