Story
Meet Cleo! Cleo is a 10-year-old Chihuahua–Miniature Pinscher mix weighing about 12 pounds — the perfect little companion for your lap and your heart. This sweet girl was surrendered to our local shelter and is now safe in foster care, waiting patiently for her forever home. Cleo is a total lovebug who just wants to be cuddled and adored. She listens well, loves to snuggle in your lap, and has a calm, gentle nature that makes her a joy to have around. She currently lives with other dogs and does very well with them. She hasn’t lived with cats or children, so we’re not sure how she would do, but her sweet temperament suggests she might adjust well with proper introductions. Cleo is a smart little lady who already knows a few commands such as “come,” “no,” and “leave it.” She hasn’t used a crate in her foster home and has had very few potty accidents — she’s doing great with her house manners! Cleo would fit beautifully in almost any home — whether you’re a single person looking for a loyal companion or a family wanting a gentle, affectionate addition. She can be a little vocal when meeting new people (she likes to say hello in her own way!) but quickly warms up once she knows she’s among friends. Although a fenced yard is preferred, it’s not a dealbreaker for this little lady — what she really needs is someone who will love her, keep her safe, and make her feel like part of the family. If you’re looking for a loyal little sweetheart to share your days and your couch with, Cleo is ready to steal your heart and snuggle right into your life. ?? She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations microchipped and is a up-to-date on monthly flea/ tick and heartworm prevention. Her fee is $150 Follow the link below for the adoption application. Please note: all applicants must live within one hour of Toledo, Ohio. http://www.dogworksohio.com/adoption-application.html

Sweet dog needs a lot of attention probably someone who can be home all the time with her or can take her where they go. Not the best with pottying outside but will use a puppy pad. Good with my niece when she visits. Haven’t tested with cats. She loves to cuddle and is super playful with toys and loves to tug. Overall sweetheart of a dog.

Story
Fiona is a 2 year 9 month old Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix weighing 10 pounds. She came to the shelter as an owner surrender. Even as an owner surrender we don't know much about her past. What we do know is that Fiona is a love bug with a gentle soul. She's a cuddle bug and loves to give kisses and overall is a happy little girl. She'll be your shadow (separation anxiety). She definitely has experienced past trauma and can be fearful in different scenarios. She can also be a drama queen (at the veterinarian or taking medication). She's vocal in many ways, crying, barking, howling. Working on potty pad training and housebreaking. Loves to go on walks. Crate trained. She is terrified of cats! Her adoption fee is $200, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. Her dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet her, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today!
