Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bordeaux 1 year, spayed female, 7 lbs Chihuahua mix LIKES: Playing with the other dog in her foster home, cuddles and pets, bully sticks, being carried, and snuggling in fuzzy blankets. DISLIKES: Being left alone and encountering chickens PERSONALITY TRAITS: Playful, friendly, loyal, athletic. She;s a Velcro dog and would be a good "purse dog" to accompany her family wherever they want to take her. POTTY TRAINING STATUS: She doesn’t know how to use the dog door yet, and does well when she is taken out on a regular schedule. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: She really doesn’t like being alone and cries a lot but eventually settles. EXTRAS/MISC.: She follows her foster humans everywhere and loves her person! She quickly bonded with her foster mom and gets worried when she’s not around. Great with young kids, cats (mostly) and the other small dog in her foster home and has done well with other dogs at adoption events. She would be a great first dog to someone who wants a constant companion or emotional support animal. To further inquire about BORDEAUX, submit an application. https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/ Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how BORDEAUX will mesh with your lifestyle. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bridget 9 months, spayed female, 15 lbs Chug mix (Chihuahua/Pug) LIKES: Bridget loves to play with people of all ages, chew her toys, run and play with her dog friends, and give cuddles. She especially loves to hang out with the 12 year old girl in her foster home. DISLIKES: Bridget needs slower introductions to bigger energetic dogs, but quickly warms up. PERSONALITY TRAITS: Bridget is a very energetic, goofy, and snuggly puppy. She's up for adventure and meeting new people and would love to be in an active home and go on walks and explore with her people. POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Is puppy pad trained. Does well inside with few accidents. Consistent opportunities to go outside and rewards will help get this smart girl on the path to full house training. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Sleeps fine in her pen at night. Bridget is still a pup and needs additional training and socialization to become the best dog she can be. She is looking for a family that can continue to work with her and have patience. They will be rewarded by a snuggly devoted friend. To further inquire about BRIDGET, submit an application. Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how BRIDGET will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet. Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ragatha aka Agatha 4 years, spayed female, 18 lbs Chihuahua mix LIKES: Being the center of attention, receiving pets and cuddles (is very interested in sleeping under the covers with you), napping in your lap, taking long walks with plenty of stops for sniffing, chasing after toys, running on the beach, chewing on rawhides or similar, sharing face kisses. DISLIKES: Feeling left out, being “abandoned”, car rides, and getting wet. PERSONALITY TRAITS: The best of Ragatha’s wonderful personality will shine through when she is in the presence of her caregiver, at home, and not surrounded by unfamiliar people or pets. At her foster home she is consistently silly, spunky, sweet, affectionate, and loyal. She is also very perceptive and eager to please, potentially lending well to positive-reinforcement training—she has learned “sit”—but she will sometimes become too excited to register commands. Ragatha can acclimate to new people but needs slow introductions when people enter her home, and could use continued training and socialization outside of the home in situations with people. POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Ragatha is perfectly potty trained when you are around. If she is left alone, she becomes anxious and will have accidents. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Ragatha may sometimes voluntarily enter her crate when seeking a safe space, and she can also easily be picked up and placed inside her crate, but she doesn't like to be left in a crate. OTHER: Ragatha’s size to high-jumping ratio parallels that of a cat’s, so while she is generally well-behaved towards your property, beware of the possibility for her to get onto tables or other high surfaces! Her compatibility cohabitating with children, other pets, or multiple “equal value” caretakers is unknown. Ragatha may benefit from being in a home with another dog that can show her the ropes. Or be with someone who is home most of the time and work on short times of separation. To further inquire about RAGATHA, submit an application. https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/ Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how RAGATHA will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet. Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Churro 6 months, neutered male, 11 lbs Dachshund mix Churro is a fun pup and he loves kids and other dogs. He is a spunky little fellow with a lot of heart. He is smart and has learned to sit for a treat, and he loves to play fetch. He is learning to walk on leash in his foster home. He is crate and potty trained but is still learning. As with all puppies, Churro would benefit from puppy training classes so that he can grow to be the best dog he can be. To further inquire about CHURRO, submit an application. https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/ Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how CHURRO will mesh with your lifestyle. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Dora 2 years, spayed female, 10 lbs Chihuahua mix LIKES: Playing chase, playing tug of war, ripping things apart, being close to her human, sleeping next to her human, being carried around her backpack. DISLIKES: Loud noises, being left by her person, not having enough attention and playtime. Having to be on a leash and being told what to do on walks. PERSONALITY TRAITS: Dora is an absolute delight with a spicy personality and her name is absolutely perfect for her explorer attitude. She is very playful and will nibble at your fingers when she gets a feeling board and wants attention. She barks a lot in reaction to what she can see and hear and is a wonderful alarm dog. She is very trainable and seems to get along well with other dogs and people. POTTY TRAINING STATUS: She is potty trained. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: She is not currently being put in a crate but she seems to be comfortable sleeping in one from time to time without being told to do so. EXTRAS/MISC.: Dora is high energy and will try to tear things apart when she is bored. So a lot of redirection and potential crate training / bathroom training may be needed to prevent damage to rugs and other fabric items. No stray sock is safe with this little cutie. She hasn't been tested with cats, but with her alert nature and busy nature, a cat may not appreciate her presence. Older children are likely Ok, especially if they want to play. To further inquire about DORA, submit an application. Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how DORA will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet. Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Jake 1 year old, neutered male, 11 lbs Chihuahua mix LIKES: Chasing flying bugs! As well as, cuddling, short walks, his toys, his owner (very loyal), and rolling in grass. Chasing the vacuum. DISLIKES: Being away from the people he loves and big dry dog food. People not dropping food on the floor for him. PERSONALITY TRAITS: "Hi! My name is Jake, I am a semi-energetic pup, and I LOVE TO CHASE FLYING BUGS! I can jump up on furniture, and go upstairs- but I CANNOT go down them - It is too scary! The kids in this house are energetic all day and loud, but I don't mind. I play with them just so they quit calling my name. I've learned to sleep though it. I can walk on a leash, and sometimes I like playing in the river water. I like to chase cats and squirrels and may forget that I need to stay near my human, I'm working on that." POTTY TRAINING STATUS: He still needs some reminders and guidance to go potty outside. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Does fine in Crate/Kennel after a little initial protesting. EXTRAS/MISC.: Jake is food motivated, very loyal, loving, and funny. He gets along with other dogs but he chases cats. Jake needs to be contained by a fence when he is outside or be on leash. He would benefit from training to help him become the best dog he can be. To further inquire about JAKE, submit an application. Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how JAKE will mesh with your lifestyle.
