Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Penelope 3 years, spayed female, 19 lbs Chug mix Looking for an energetic furry friend with Yoda ears and an underbite? Penelope fits the bill! This happy girl is ready to accompany you on all of life’s adventures. Likes and Hobbies: She’s happy doing anything you’re doing! She’s a curious, confident, playful, adventurous, very trainable companion. She enjoys anything active, she’s got lots of energy! She would appreciate a dog sibling who isn’t afraid to play, run, and play some more. She likes car rides and does great on walks. She loves toys, warm laps, and especially food! Ideal Home Must-Haves: Penelope needs a patient new family willing to do further training to help her learn good manners. Her “stranger danger” instincts are on-point, she will bark at new people and needs slow introductions. She is very food motivated and eager to please, and responds well to re-direction. She is good around older dog-savvy kids, but untested with cats. After she knows you, before you know it she’s your new velcro bestie. The Lowdown: Penelope is potty trained in her foster home, but may need to re-adjust when in new surroundings. She very quickly learned to use a doggie door. She sleeps all night in her crate after a few minutes of initial protest. Despite the short legs, Penelope is an olympic-level high jumper, and can jump out of x-pens and over kiddie gates without even touching them! Penelope is available for private meet and greets after adoption applications are approved. To further inquire about PENELOPE, submit an application. ADOPTION APP: https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/ Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how PENELOPE will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet. Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit. We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for PENELOPE, as well as her future family. *Fostered in Eugene/Springfield, OR ADOPTION APP: https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/ ##2707081##

Story
Churro 6 months, neutered male, 11 lbs Dachshund mix Churro is a fun pup and he loves kids and other dogs. He is a spunky little fellow with a lot of heart. He is smart and has learned to sit for a treat, and he loves to play fetch. He is learning to walk on leash in his foster home. He is crate and potty trained but is still learning. As with all puppies, Churro would benefit from puppy training classes so that he can grow to be the best dog he can be. To further inquire about CHURRO, submit an application. https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/ Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how CHURRO will mesh with your lifestyle. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ragatha aka Agatha 4 years, spayed female, 18 lbs Chihuahua mix LIKES: Being the center of attention, receiving pets and cuddles (is very interested in sleeping under the covers with you), napping in your lap, taking long walks with plenty of stops for sniffing, chasing after toys, running on the beach, chewing on rawhides or similar, sharing face kisses. DISLIKES: Feeling left out, being “abandoned”, car rides, and getting wet. PERSONALITY TRAITS: The best of Ragatha’s wonderful personality will shine through when she is in the presence of her caregiver, at home, and not surrounded by unfamiliar people or pets. At her foster home she is consistently silly, spunky, sweet, affectionate, and loyal. She is also very perceptive and eager to please, potentially lending well to positive-reinforcement training—she has learned “sit”—but she will sometimes become too excited to register commands. Ragatha can acclimate to new people but needs slow introductions when people enter her home, and could use continued training and socialization outside of the home in situations with people. POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Ragatha is perfectly potty trained when you are around. If she is left alone, she becomes anxious and will have accidents. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Ragatha may sometimes voluntarily enter her crate when seeking a safe space, and she can also easily be picked up and placed inside her crate, but she doesn't like to be left in a crate. OTHER: Ragatha’s size to high-jumping ratio parallels that of a cat’s, so while she is generally well-behaved towards your property, beware of the possibility for her to get onto tables or other high surfaces! Her compatibility cohabitating with children, other pets, or multiple “equal value” caretakers is unknown. Ragatha may benefit from being in a home with another dog that can show her the ropes. Or be with someone who is home most of the time and work on short times of separation. To further inquire about RAGATHA, submit an application. https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/ Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how RAGATHA will mesh with your lifestyle. Story
Esha'ntarl 3 year, spayed female, 16 lb Chihuahua mix Esha'ntarl is the mom of the Final Fantasy litter. She loves toys, playing with other dogs, and curling up on her bed. She did an excellent job raising her babies and is now ready for a home of her own! Leash walking is a new skill for her - she will potty on leash if carried to a grassy spot but walking in the neighborhood can be pretty scary. She is crate trained, and gets along with the resident dogs and cats. She does great when she is let outside to potty on a regular schedule. She can be a bit sneaky with the trash however, so baby locks or keeping it away is recommended. (Being a trash hound is a pretty common trait for a dog who had to survive on their own.) She is looking for a home that has a yard with solid fences, as she can get out of short or chain link fencing. She needs a family with the patience to let her come out of her shell and show her true self. Another dog in the home is certainly a bonus! To further inquire about ESHA'NTARL, submit an application. https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/ Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how ESHA'NTARL will mesh with your lifestyle. Story
Meet Cannoli: The Sweet, Gentle Soul Looking for Her Safe HavenBreed: French Bulldog Mix (Our best guess!)Age: 3 years oldSpecial Talents: Blanket-burrowing, executing a flawless "welcome home" dance, and sunbathing like a pro.Superpower: Having zero "fight" in her - Cannoli is 100% gentle, through and through.Cannoli has been a cherished part of the Wiggly Tails family for 11 months. When she first arrived, she was deeply shut down and untrusting. But over time, with the patience of some incredible foster homes, Cannoli has bloomed. She's had a big year, she even underwent surgery for double luxating patellas. Now that she's healed and pain-free, her lively, confident side is finally shining through!Because of her past, Cannoli is very timid and sensitive. Loud noises and fast movements will send her looking for cover. But once she knows you're safe? You get to see the real Cannoli:The Happy Dance: When you wake up, come home, or even just step out of the bathroom, Cannoli will greet you with an adorable little excitement dance and sweet kisses. The Sassy Side: Her former foster reports that if breakfast or dinner is late, Miss Cannoli isn't afraid to give you a little sassy look to speed up the service. The Comfort Zone: Sitting people are much less scary to her. She loves to curl up under blankets, chew on her toys, and bake herself in a nice patch of sunlight.Cannoli's Wishlist (The Essential Requirements)Cannoli is a special rescue dog who needs a very specific environment to continue her beautiful progress:An Adult-Only, Quiet Home: No kids, no chaotic schedules. She needs a gentle, predictable environment.A Securely Fenced Yard: Crucial for her safety, as her natural instinct when scared is to shrink or flee.A Doggy Companion: This is a must! Cannoli needs a dog companion around her own size (like her buddy Reggie!) to play with, cuddle with, and help her feel brave. She likes dogs of all sizes, but she truly thrives with a similarly sized friend to copy.Patience & Commitment: She currently takes daily anti-anxiety medication to help her navigate the world (which she may be able to step down from once she is fully settled in her forever home). Her adopter needs to understand the slow, rewarding journey of a rescue dog.The ChecklistPotty Training: A+ She is a doggy door pro! She will potty outside every time and has officially mastered the dog door in her foster home. The Crate: A+ Cannoli loves her crate. It is her ultimate safe zone where she goes to relax and decompress.Other Animals: A Great with cats and wonderful with other dogs. The Perfect Match? To further inquire about CANNOLI, submit an application.https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how CANNOLI will mesh with your lifestyle. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Gomez 1 year, neutered male, 10 lb Chihuahua mix LIKES: Blankets, spooning, TOUCHING HIS PERSON AT ALL TIMES, food, driving around in the car as the copilot. DISLIKES: Being alone, finding himself in strange places, rain & cold. PERSONALITY TRAITS: Gomez is the ultimate Velcro baby. He loves to be carried around and to snuggle super close in bed. His foster mom even puts him in a Moby to do chores. Gomez gives the sweetest little kisses and he's so soft to pet. He'll gladly roll over for belly rubs or snuggle into your neck once he knows you! POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Potty trained. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Crate trained, although he will fuss if he's in there while you're sitting nearby. EXTRAS/MISC.:  Gomez is prone to a bit of panic when he's in a new house, and for that reason we will require his new home to be secure. This means solid fences, no escape routes, and crating when he's alone. He quickly gets over this as he attaches to his new family, but we just need to make sure he's safe until he gets there. We'd also like his new home to be within the main Eugene/Springfield metro area so that his foster can get there quickly if anything happens. To further inquire about GOMEZ, submit an application. https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/ Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how GOMEZ will mesh with your lifestyle.
