Story
Meet Momo, a sweet and gentle 10-year-old senior who is blossoming more each day in her foster home in San Antonio, TX. Don’t let her age fool you—her vet says she is in great health, and she has so much love left to give! This darling girl may have started off a little shy, but once she feels safe, her affectionate personality truly shines. Momo now loves being held and cuddled, happily soaking up attention from her people and forming strong bonds with those she trusts. Momo is wonderfully well-rounded and gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and kids, making her a great fit for a variety of households. She would also do well as an only dog, as she truly enjoys soaking up attention and bonding closely with her people. She has excellent manners in the home—she is potty trained and knows how to use a doggie door, which makes her an easy and low-maintenance companion. At night, Momo’s favorite place to be is curled up on the couch, enjoying a cozy and peaceful sleep near her humans. While she isn’t a fan of being in a kennel, she does very well when given a small, quiet space sectioned off with a baby gate where she feels safe and secure. Momo would thrive in a patient, loving home that will continue to build her confidence and give her the affection she craves. She’s the perfect mix of gentle, loving, and loyal—and she’s ready to find a forever family who will cherish her just as much as she will adore them. You can apply directly for Momo by clicking the Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-838 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Good with kids, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Rescued only 5 days prior to her euthanasia date nearly a year ago, sweet Monkey is still looking for her forever home. Although she is a shy girl who prefers slow introductions with others, Monkey tends to love meeting most new people.  She also loves children and is learning about cats and doing quite well. Monkey completed her PetSmart training course and knows her basic manners very well. Since Monkey had a tough start in life, she has been struggling for the past year on our walks through my busy neighborhood. This is why Monkey needs a relatively quiet home with a securely fenced in yard.. or perhaps a quieter neighborhood?Although I know it will be hard to see her go, I also know it will be nice to see Monkey go to a home where she can finally get the levels of decompression that she has been needing. Monkey will require a patient, experienced adopter who has enough love in their heart to continue helping Monkey learn how to build up her confidence, trust, and resilience.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Blossom 1 year, spayed female, 19 lbs Corgi/Chihuahua mix (best guesss) LIKES: Blossom loves following her people around, chewing on her toys, playing with her foster dog siblings (specifically the older cattle dog/pit mix), snuggling, and burrowing under blankies. She likes to give the 7 and 12 year old kiddos in her foster house kisses. DISLIKES: Being picked up, new experiences/people, and riding in the car can be triggering to Blossom’s anxiety. Blossom will need a patient hand to continue gently introducing her to the “scary” situations in her life. PERSONALITY TRAITS: Miss Blossom is such a friendly and cuddly pup! She is in love with her cattle dog/pittie mix foster sister and will pester her with friendship and kisses until she plays with her. One unique thing about Blossom is that she doesn’t really bark, but instead “chirp-barks.” POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Blossom is potty trained with occasional accidents if it’s cold or rainy outside. Blossom is a bit of a nervous piddler and experiences like meeting new friends or being picked up may be best either outside or on a hard floor that can be quickly wiped. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Zero star rating from Blossom. She eats her meals in her kennel but doesn’t like to be locked in it. OTHER/MISC: Blossom is a 5 star climber and chewer, so a sturdy plastic kennel is needed instead of a wire one as she will chew any wire/wood to get out. She is also a fantastic bouncer and can hop right over baby gates with ease. Blossom will need a home with another playful dog to help build her confidence and use up some of her playful energy. To further inquire about BLOSSOM, submit an application. Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how BLOSSOM will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet. Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit. We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for BLOSSOM, as well as her future family. *Fostered in Eugene/Springfield, OR ADOPTION APP: https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/ ‍ ##2681915##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Penelope 3 years, spayed female, 19 lbs Chug mix Looking for an energetic furry friend with Yoda ears and an underbite? Penelope fits the bill! This happy girl is ready to accompany you on all of life’s adventures. Likes and Hobbies: She’s happy doing anything you’re doing! She’s a curious, confident, playful, adventurous, very trainable companion. She enjoys anything active, she’s got lots of energy! She would appreciate a dog sibling who isn’t afraid to play, run, and play some more. She likes car rides and does great on walks. She loves toys, warm laps, and especially food! Ideal Home Must-Haves: Penelope needs a patient new family willing to do further training to help her learn good manners. Her “stranger danger” instincts are on-point, she will bark at new people and needs slow introductions. She is very food motivated and eager to please, and responds well to re-direction. She is good around older dog-savvy kids, but untested with cats. After she knows you, before you know it she’s your new velcro bestie. The Lowdown: Penelope is potty trained in her foster home, but may need to re-adjust when in new surroundings. She very quickly learned to use a doggie door. She sleeps all night in her crate after a few minutes of initial protest. Despite the short legs, Penelope is an olympic-level high jumper, and can jump out of x-pens and over kiddie gates without even touching them! Penelope is available for private meet and greets after adoption applications are approved. To further inquire about PENELOPE, submit an application. Story
Jennifer 6 mos, spayed female, 13 lbs Chihuahua/Terrier mix Jennifer is an energetic puppy who loves to be around her human. LIKES: Napping with her human, playing with her human by gently and lovingly body slamming herself into their face, playing outside, playing with other dogs, digging. DISLIKES: Loud noises, being kept inside too long, baths. POTTY TRAINING: She is mostly potty trained and will go to the bathroom outside first thing in the morning. With regular trips outside and crate training when not supervised will help her on her way. CRATE TRAINING: She likes to sleep in the same room as her human but could be crated or happily sleep in bed with you. OTHER/MISC: As with all puppies, Jennifer would benefit from additional training. She is a great listener and is highly food motivated, and will be a fun dog to train!
