Story
Rescued only 5 days prior to her euthanasia date nearly a year ago, sweet Monkey is still looking for her forever home. She is well trained, has shown to be safe with people and children, and has a playful and joyful spirit in about everything she does. Monkey needs an experienced adopter because she can be reactive towards other dogs, mainly when she is on leash. When she is with her trainer, she is not reactive. I have worked hard with her and have even taught her how to detect my low glucose levels and to alert me to them. I know if Monkey finds her person, someone who is passionate about working with dogs similar to her, that she will thrive. I am in poor health so if there is anyone who would like to help me help Monkey, or who would simply like to learn more about her, please fill out an application and I will contact you.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Blossom 1 year, spayed female, 19 lbs Corgi/Chihuahua mix (best guesss) LIKES: Blossom loves following her people around, chewing on her toys, playing with her foster dog siblings (specifically the older cattle dog/pit mix), snuggling, and burrowing under blankies. She likes to give the 7 and 12 year old kiddos in her foster house kisses. DISLIKES: Being picked up, new experiences/people, and riding in the car can be triggering to Blossom’s anxiety. Blossom will need a patient hand to continue gently introducing her to the “scary” situations in her life. PERSONALITY TRAITS: Miss Blossom is such a friendly and cuddly pup! She is in love with her cattle dog/pittie mix foster sister and will pester her with friendship and kisses until she plays with her. One unique thing about Blossom is that she doesn’t really bark, but instead “chirp-barks.” POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Blossom is potty trained with occasional accidents if it’s cold or rainy outside. Blossom is a bit of a nervous piddler and experiences like meeting new friends or being picked up may be best either outside or on a hard floor that can be quickly wiped. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Zero star rating from Blossom. She eats her meals in her kennel but doesn’t like to be locked in it. OTHER/MISC: Blossom is a 5 star climber and chewer, so a sturdy plastic kennel is needed instead of a wire one as she will chew any wire/wood to get out. She is also a fantastic bouncer and can hop right over baby gates with ease. Blossom will need a home with another playful dog to help build her confidence and use up some of her playful energy. To further inquire about BLOSSOM, submit an application. Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how BLOSSOM will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet. Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit. We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for BLOSSOM, as well as her future family. *Fostered in Eugene/Springfield, OR ADOPTION APP: https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/ ‍ ##2681915##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Mouse3 year, spayed female, 10 lbsChihuahua mix PERSONALITY TRAITS: The first impression of Mouse is that she is nervous. She has had a tough time, so understandably she is on her guard with new people. However, with patience, kindness, and lots of treats, her loving and playful side shines through. Mouse is a smart little cookie, quick to learn when treats are involved. She shows no aggression and has a lot of love to give. LIKES: Food. Mouse is very food-motivated which really helps with positive reinforcement training. She loves hanging out on the sofa with her person, her foster sister, wandering around in the yard, and did we mention, food! DISLIKES: Wearing a leash, being approached too quickly, uninvited petting POTTY TRAINING STATUS: She is house-trained and just needs to be let outside on a regular routine. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Yes. Mouse really likes her crate and hangs out in it sometimes during the day and sleeps in it at night. EXTRAS/MISC: Mouse was rescued after being abandoned and tied to a bus-stop, so she does not like the leash. She needs a home with a fenced yard for exercise. With training she may be able to go out on walks, but it would likely take lots of positive encouragement. To further inquire about MOUSE, submit an application. Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how MOUSE will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet. Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. Story
Flaco 1 year old, neutered male, 7.5 lbs Chihuahua LIKES: Being outside, going for walks, looking out the window, chew toys, being a Velcro dog, snuggles, big blankets, socks, sleeping all day, and car rides DISLIKES: Big dogs, disturbing his sleep, loud noises, hats/hoods, being outside when it’s raining PERSONALITY TRAITS: It takes Flaco a second to warm up to people but once he does he is the best dog. He will be attached at your hip if you want him to be. He has a goofy personality. He is clumsy and just wants to play most of the time. He loves walks, if he could be outside 24/7 he would be. He is a total sunbather and will chill with you but is always down for an adventure! POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Potty trained! he sits by the door and tells you when he needs to go out! CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Is very good in the crate but would prefer to snuggle in bed. EXTRA INFO: Flaco is a very smart dog! he is very easily trainable and will listen to commands very easily! he already has learned how to shake!! He is very smart and intuitive. He just wants to be around someone all the time. He is very sweet once he warms up to people. His bark is definitely bigger than his bite. He is a timid dog at first to new people but shortly after his personality comes out! Flaco's adopters must be patient with him and give him time to settle in a new environment. Once you do, he will shine. No homes with young children or large dogs. To further inquire about FLACO, submit an application. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Gomez 1 year, neutered male, 10 lb Chihuahua mix LIKES: Blankets, spooning, TOUCHING HIS PERSON AT ALL TIMES, food, driving around in the car as the copilot. DISLIKES: Being alone, finding himself in strange places, rain & cold. PERSONALITY TRAITS: Gomez is the ultimate Velcro baby. He loves to be carried around and to snuggle super close in bed. His foster mom even puts him in a Moby to do chores. Gomez gives the sweetest little kisses and he's so soft to pet. He'll gladly roll over for belly rubs or snuggle into your neck once he knows you! POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Potty trained. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Crate trained, although he will fuss if he's in there while you're sitting nearby. EXTRAS/MISC.:  Gomez is prone to a bit of panic when he's in a new house, and for that reason we will require his new home to be secure. This means solid fences, no escape routes, and crating when he's alone. He quickly gets over this as he attaches to his new family, but we just need to make sure he's safe until he gets there. We'd also like his new home to be within the main Eugene/Springfield metro area so that his foster can get there quickly if anything happens. To further inquire about GOMEZ, submit an application. https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/ Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how GOMEZ will mesh with your lifestyle.
