Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Chippy... the little dog who's trying so hard to believe in people again. ❤️ Chippy came to us from a high-kill shelter in Kentucky after his owners dumped him there. The shelter staff told us he was shutting down from fear, and our rescue partners begged us to give him a chance because they believed this little boy deserved better than the ending he was facing. They were right. What they also told us broke my heart. Somewhere along the way, people weren't kind to Chippy. He had been caught with a catch pole, so anything around his neck terrified him. When he arrived, his collar slipped off, and we couldn't safely touch his neck to put another one on. He wasn't being mean—he was protecting himself from something he had learned to fear. Because of that, we couldn't place him with the family who had hoped to adopt him. It simply wasn't safe for Chippy or for them. So he came home with me. For the first day, I simply sat with him for ten minutes at a time, talking softly. No expectations. No pressure. Just letting him know that not every human wants something from him. Then something beautiful happened. His eyes softened. His little tail started to wag. He crawled into my lap, kissed me, and began asking for pets. On the second day, he willingly walked into the shower, and while he was relaxed, we gently slipped a collar on him. He didn't love it—but he accepted it. Today, just a few days later, Chippy trots beside me on a leash. He lets me carefully put on his collar. He runs to greet me, climbs into my lap, and covers my face with kisses. He's good with my dogs and is discovering that life can actually feel safe. The hardest part? I think Chippy has decided I'm his person. But I can't be his forever person. As much as I'd love to keep every dog that steals a piece of my heart, my job is to help them find the family that will love them for the rest of their lives. So I'm looking for someone very special. Chippy needs a patient, dog-savvy person who understands that trust is earned, not demanded. Someone willing to let him move at his own pace. Someone who will celebrate the little victories, because every one of them is huge for a dog who has learned that people can hurt you. He is not a mean dog. He's a frightened little soul who desperately wants to trust again. Once you're in his heart, you're really in it. I'm hoping to find his person sooner rather than later. Every day he becomes more attached to me, and I don't want him to feel like he's being abandoned all over again. I'd much rather help him bond with the family who will love him for the rest of his life. If you have the patience to let a broken heart heal, Chippy will repay you with a love that only a rescued dog can give. Sometimes the dogs who have been loved the least... love the biggest. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Snoopy (13) and Libby (14) are a bonded pair of senior sweethearts who recently lost their beloved mom, a dedicated member of our Haven to Home foster family. While they are being lovingly cared for, what they truly need now is a quiet, permanent home where they can spend their golden years together, surrounded by love. Despite their ages, both are in good health and remain fairly active. Snoopy still has a playful spark and often acts much younger than his 13 years. Libby, a gentle little soul, stays close by his side. They take comfort in one another, and it’s clear their bond brings them a sense of security during this transition. They are not fully house-trained, and Libby is currently wearing a diaper, but with a consistent schedule and regular trips outside, they are doing very well. Their caretaker has seen great progress with routine and patience. Both dogs are fully vetted—up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, have had recent dentals, and are on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. If you have a soft spot for senior dogs, Snoopy and Libby will reward you with quiet companionship, gentle affection, and grateful hearts. Opening your home to them is not only giving them the comfort they deserve—it’s also a beautiful way to honor the memory of the foster who loved them so much.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
Where do we start with this beauty? Precious is exactly that – Precious! She came to us in the beginning of June – she was found all alone in the middle of nowhere. She had almost no hair. Precious was posted on Facebook as the finder could not keep her, and one of our amazing fosters saw her and immediately went to pick her up. Precious has been on continuous medical baths as well as nexgard, and she is now thriving! She weighs 5 lbs and is approximately 12 weeks old. While we do not know who her parents are, we believe she is chihuahua, dachshund and pug mix. We do not think she will get over 10 lbs once full grown as she has only grown 1 lb in 4 weeks. This girl is playful and rambunctious. She likes to hop around and give little barks out with excitement. The foster has other dogs and cats – She gets along great with both! The cats are all bigger than her and swat her away when she tries to play. Precious has met the fosters grandchildren and LOVES them. She would do wonderful with children! Note: She is only a puppy and very small, so children under 4 years of age need to be supervised when around her. She loves to be held and loves her pets! Precious is an amazing little girl. She is entertaining, playful, cuddly, loving and will keep a smile on your face. Precious is current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on dewormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. This little guy is much more interested in seeing the sights than starting the gossip. Sure, he`ll give a startled jump if something loud or unexpected pops up. (Honestly? Same.) But he dusts himself off, regains his composure, and is ready to keep the adventure going. What Chunk Is Like:- Friendly, sweet, and easy to love- A little shy when making first introductions- Fantastic on leash- Recovers quickly from surprises- Curious about the world around him- Built for outings, errands, and coffee-shop patiosChunk has the kind of personality that makes everyday life more fun. Need to grab the mail? He`s in. Want to wander through the park? Let’s do it. Looking for someone who treats every walk like a tiny expedition? That`s his specialty.Once he gets to know you, his laid-back charm really shines. He`s happy to be your copilot, your walking companion, or your excuse to spend a little more time outside.Chunk`s Ideal Home Looks Like:- Kids around 6+, on a case-by-case basis- Other dogs, pending meet-and-greets- A family looking for a loyal little companion- Plenty of opportunities to get out and explore togetherSome dogs dream of being the center of attention. Chunk seems perfectly content being your favorite little shadow—the one trotting beside you, ready for wherever the day happens to lead. And for a dog his size, that`s a pretty big life.---Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Chunk can be a little shy at first but very friendly guy. Startles over loud or sudden items but recovers quickly. He is amazing on leash and loves to go on outings with you. Chunk has a fun but laid back demeanor. Great pal to explore the world with.

Story
Meet Bree, a unique and special girl with a big heart! She may be a little quirky and shy at first, but she will warm up over time. Bree was found as a stray, and despite her uncertain past, she is a loyal and devoted friend to those she trusts. Bree is around 2 years old, and while we don't know her full story, we do know that she has a lot of love to give and is worth getting to know. She enjoys the company of other dogs and thrives in their presence, so a home with another canine companion would be ideal. With her gentle nature, we recommend a home without small children, as she prefers a calm and patient environment in which to shine truly. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind companion to bring laughter and love into your life, Bree could be the perfect match. Come and meet her today and see the beauty of her unique spirit!
