Story
Emmett is a small, senior dog with a big personality and a strong sense of independence. He’s looking for a calm, adult-only home where he can feel safe and respected. Emmett does not like to be handled or picked up, so his ideal adopter will be someone who understands his boundaries and can give him the space he needs to thrive. While Emmett lives with other dogs, he isn’t interested in close canine relationships and prefers to keep his distance. He would do best as an only pet. A securely fenced yard is essential for this independent pup, giving him a safe place to explore and decompress. Emmett is potty trained but may mark in the house if another dog isn’t fully housebroken. He’s great on a leash and enjoys slow, steady walks, making him a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a relaxed pace. Emmett’s favorite activities include burrowing under blankets, playing with anything that squeaks, relaxing in his crate, and occasionally curling up nearby when he feels ready for affection. Emmett does have advanced dental disease, which cannot be treated surgically due to his grade 4 heart murmur. He is on lifetime medication to manage his condition, and his adopter will need to be committed to ongoing care. Despite these challenges, Emmett is full of spunk and ready to enjoy his golden years in a loving home. If you’re an experienced dog owner with a calm, patient home, no other pets, and a securely fenced yard, Emmett could be the perfect match. He’s neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and ready to find his forever family. Apply today to give this special senior the understanding and comfort he deserves!

Story
KENNEL ID #18804 Ladybug, Paulie and their five six-month-old puppies owner could no longer afford to care for them. Ladybug can be quite shy and frightened initially, but after about two days, she becomes a loving and devoted companion. She enjoys playing fetch with her toys and will happily bring them to you, squeaking all the way. Ladybug follows you wherever you go and loves to burrow under blankets in bed. She is friendly with everyone, including visitors in her foster home, although she tends to prefer women over men. While she doesn't like to be forced into doing anything, she responds well to positive reinforcement. Ladybug is an intelligent and affectionate dog, but she can also be a bit stubborn at times. She enjoys the company of other dogs but prefers not to share her human companionship with them. She believes she is a queen. Ladybug can experience anxiety during transitions, so she may not be suitable for a home with young children. Recently spayed, she gets along well with both dogs and cats. Although she may act like a spitfire at first, once she trusts you, she will be your loyal friend for life. Adoption Fee $400 Thank you for your interest in rescue.  If you would like to be considered for  adoption please submit an application to adopt.  If you have any questions regarding the adoption process please email: rescuedp2024@icloud.com   or ddlu219@yahoo.com  for dog/puppies.   APPLICATIONS TO ADOPT : DOG         BIRD        REPTILE          SMALL ANIMALS        April 15, 2025, 7:10 pm

Story
Chihuahuas: big on personality, small on size Meet Patricia! Our four year old, adorable little lady with a calm and quiet personality. Patricia made her way to Mostly Muttz from South Carolina about a year ago. While her history is unknown, we do know that Patricia is a very sweet girl once she has had some time to warm up to you.  Chihuahuas tend to wear their personalities and emotions on their sleeves, are intelligent and extremely loyal. Patricia is crate trained and house trained but could still use improvement on leash. She would benefit from a home that will help her continue to build her confidence. We are looking for a home with a fenced in yard and one without children. She will not be placed in a home with children. Patricia is being fostered in Pottstown (Montgomery County), Pennsylvania). ‘I belong to the people I love, and they belong to me - they, and the love and loyalty I give them’ #chihuahua #mostlymuttzrescue #dogoftheday #adoptdontshop #bigpersonality #loyalty You can apply to adopt PATRICIA at www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/.   Mostly Muttz Rescue PA Kennel License: 10872 ##1129705##

Story
Bindy is a tiny bundle of love and energy, full of personality despite his small size and unique challenges. Weighing just 5.25 lbs, this sweet Chihuahua was born visually impaired due to being the result of an unethical double Merle breeding. As a “double Merle,” Bindy’s condition comes with certain unknowns, so his future family should be prepared for the lifelong care and consideration a special needs pup like him deserves. Despite it all, Bindy is endlessly playful, snuggly, and thrives on love and attention. He doesn’t let his vision limitations slow him down—he’s curious, adventurous, and happiest curled up in a warm lap after a play session. Bindy is looking for a compassionate, patient home that understands the unique needs of double Merle dogs and is ready to give him the safe, joyful life he deserves. Bindy is fostered in Bethlehem (Northampton County), Pennsylvania and can be adopted on or after 4/12/2025 www.mostlymuttz.org Mostly Muttz Rescue, PO Box 406, Gilbertsville, PA 19525PA Kennel License 10872  ##2350697##

Story
Terk is a teeny tiny guy who is friendly and sweet. Terk and Tink came into rescue after their owner passed away, and we believe Tink to be Terk's mom. They love each other very much. Terk gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home, but seems very timid around children, so we would prefer a home without small children. We would love to see Terk and Tink find a home together! Mostly Muttz Rescue, PO Box 406, Gilbertsville, PA 19525PA Kennel License 10872  Available on/after 4/12/2025 ##2350667##

Story
Double isn’t “special needs”—he’s extra special. Born from two Merle Chihuahuas, Double came into this world with his own unique way of experiencing it: with limited vision and hearing—but don’t let that fool you. This tiny explorer sees with his heart, navigates with his super sniffer, and lives life more bravely than most humans we know. Everywhere he goes, Double draws smiles. He doesn’t just walk—he ventures, checking in with his person like a tiny furry boomerang. He’s never met a new environment he couldn’t conquer, and we swear he’s part GPS. Hide and seek? Don’t even try. His irresistible 3.5lb self with his expert nose WILL find you. When he’s not adventuring, he’s a professional cuddler—burrowing into your shirt or nuzzling into the crook of your neck like he was made to be there (because he was). And his kisses? Endless. His love? Unmatched. His face? Constantly smiling. Everyone who meets him says the same thing:“He’s incredible.”Because he is. Let’s give this brave, joyful, cuddle-powered pup the internet attention he so deserves. Hearts only, no pity. Shares by the millions. Double isn’t looking for sympathy—he’s here to inspire. Heart emojis only, people. Double is THAT special. Double is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and will be able to join his furever home on or after 4/12/2025. www.mostlymuttz.org https://facebook.com/mostlymuttz PA Kennel License: 10872 PO Box 406 Gilbertsville, PA 19525 #mostlymuttzrescue #specialneeds #extraspecial #chihuahualove #doublemerle #hearingimpaired #visualimpairmentawareness ♥ Double would like to share a special thank you to Down to Earth Doglady for sharing her expertise. ##2350696##
