Story
Meet Pinky, a petite Chihuahua mix with the most beautiful hazel-green eyes! Pinky is young at around 1–2 years old and weighs 12 lbs. She was transferred to us from another shelter. Pinky is very nervous in the shelter setting and needs time to warm up to new people. Once she gets past her fears and becomes comfortable with you, she turns into a sweetheart though. She really enjoys car rides! Pinky is very vocal, so she'll need to be in a home without shared walls. Because of Pinky's nervousness, she should be in an adult-only household. She's open to meeting other dogs, if you have them in the home, and can be cat-tested if requested. Pinky is a dog that needs time to come out of her shell, but once she welcomes you into her circle, you'll be rewarded with her affection. If you think you can provide the right home for Pinky, apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

Story
Jessica is still looking for her forever home. She is a 3 year old spirited love of a dog. After being surrendered to PSPCA last year along with over 60 other chihuahuas, Jessica found herself being looked over time and time again. We know this is likely because she did have a seizure coming out of her spay surgery. We had a willing foster and took her in as soon as we knew she was still there waiting. Jessica did have a couple of seizures with us in the beginning and fortunately she was at work with her foster mom so the Neurologist was able to witness it first hand. She has been placed on seizure medications and is doing really well. A little more about Jessica - she is an absolute doll that gets along with dogs, cats and kids. She would love a yard to romp around in as she is a bundle of energy. She knows when it's nap time and will burrow right in for a snooze. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on annual vaccines. We know some will look at her and say "she is so cute but the seizures....." The reality is she takes these meds a couple times a day and there really is nothing to be afraid of. Could she have a break through seizure? Yes she sure can. Obviously we cannot predict it. Some dogs go on meds and never have a seizure again while other have breakthrough and may need adjustments in medications. Jessica deserves the chance at forever especially after the situation she came from. She has all the love in the world to give. Please contact Jetta (Jetta.elliott@att.net) for more information about this pet.ChiweenieGinger is a very sweet little girl. She is 13 lbs. She would be a wonderful companion for an elderly home, as she would love to be somebody’s lapdog. This dog is located in Harrison Arkansas with Ozark Homeward Bound animal rescue. Adopted pups are transported to your location via the rescue network transport. I have set up a Facebook page for you to see videos for the rescue dogs that I foster for Ozark Homeward Bound. May 2, 2024, 11:54 pm

Story
A family in northern Alabama moved off and left six or seven little Chihuahua spaniel mixes behind. Their kind neighbor has been feeding them for over a year but they could not afford to get anyone spayed or neutered so of course there are puppies. Two little Chihuahua sisters, one chocolate and one black had puppies the same day with the same little blonde long-haired Chihuahua Spaniel mix dad. Blossom and Reese belong to the chocolate mama and Bubbles belongs to the black mama. They are all very precious. Bubbles is the smallest at about 6 pounds, Blossom is about seven and Reece is about eight lbs. They were born the last of January so they are now 12 weeks old. They have had two sets of shots and worming and will get spayed/neutered next week and will be ready to go to their new homes. The moms are about 15 pounds and the dad is between 15 and 20 pounds so they will remain small. They have been around a gentle four-year-old girl that loved them and they were all very good with her. They are sweet and friendly and outgoing! If you would like to make cute little Reece your new forever family member, please contact OMLC 7@hotmail.com or dogs4mylife@ gmail.com and we will send our info and application. Story
Sometimes we never know what we will see when we start up our car and leave the safety of our homes and our beloved pets that wait for us to return.  Sometimes what we see on the road is disturbing and downright WRONG.     This pair of Chihuahuas were discovered by one of our faithful rescue fosters as she traveled a back country road that was mostly farmland and very few  houses on the road.  First she say the little white chihuahua in the road and he ran from her and wouldn’t let her catch him.  She tried for a while.  Then she went to the nearest house and talked to a man who was out in his yard about this white Chihuahua.  He told her who owned the land where the dog was seen running and so a few days later she went back determined to ride up and down the road until she could see the dog again.  Well there were TWO little chihuahuas now; white and black and tan.  She found the owners of the land and asked them about the Chis and was told they were dropped off by some unknown person and that they had been up in their barn trying to eat the cow feed. They were abandoned and soon our rescue foster trapped them and brought them home to change their life forever.  We are getting them vetted and neutered and spayed 1/26. WE NEED FOSTER HELP!   The white boy is very shy and the black and tan is a female and the “protector” of her male friend.  Help us give them a short term place to stay while we look for a permanent and forever loving home!  Can you help for a few weeks?  Please contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.  They can be fostered in Nashville, TN or even in the New England area.  We transport weekly and just need someone to show them kindness, love and stability.  They will be ever so grateful!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 6, 2024, 7:28 pm
