Adoption Donation  $ 699   Located: NE (Transportation costs included to the Northeast, plz ask for more details) Age: 12 weeks old as of 6/23/26   Mom is a chi we believe dad is a dash!  *** As part of the adoption donation this pup will participate in FOA's spay/neuter program or other programs available through FOHA. All puppies will have age appropriate vaccinations.  All small Pups need to be adopted by by children old enough to understand how to be respectful and gentle in handling a small young pup. ***   If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website   www.fohari.org and email my foster parent for more information:   friendsoha@yahoo.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.       Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc. Story
Tito is an 8 year old full bread Chihuahua who is truly a loving little guy. He has no upper teeth so does require wet food and soft treats. He is currently eating Happy Howl and loves it. Once he finds his person, he'll be your sidekick for life. He does get nervous when being introduced to new people and will bark. But once he is comfortable and feels safe he will be your best friend and protector. He loves to go for rides and walks. He is UTD on all shots and fully potty trained. He loves being outside and laying in the sunshine and enjoys feeling the breeze through his fur. Unfortunately we can no longer keep him which absolutely breaks my heart. Whomever his new mom or dad will be I hope they will keep in touch and send me updates and pictures. He means the world to me so a great family familiar with chihuahuas and their personality is important. He will lick you to death and cuddle with you when it's time to sleep. He loves to sit on your lap and hang with you as much as he can.

Story
Pinky loves life. He loves treats. He loves being held. He loves curling up in a warm lap and soaking up affection. Most of all, he loves people. This sweet little guy is incredibly affectionate and happiest when he's close to his favorite humans. His story is a heartbreaking one. When his owner passed away, her grandchildren threw Pinky and his sibling out onto the street. Eventually, they were found living in a makeshift pen, trying to survive after losing the only home they had ever known. One by one, his siblings found families of their own. Now Pinky is the last one left waiting for his turn. Despite everything he has been through, Pinky remains a joyful, loving little dog who greets each day with optimism and a wagging tail. Pinky is in great health and wonderful shape. You would never guess he was 8 years old. While he is not fully potty trained, he is making progress, and belly bands work wonderfully for him while he continues to learn. He is currently being fostered in Puerto Rico and is ready to travel to a foster or forever home anywhere in the United States. Transportation is included in his adoption fee. After losing his home and watching all of his siblings leave for families of their own, Pinky deserves a soft place to land. If you have a lap, a few treats, and room in your heart, Pinky is ready to love you forever.

Story
Buddy Local is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Buddy is a 2 year old chihuahua mix who is looking for his forever home! He likes to chill with his people, sit on the back of the couch like a cat in the window, or be outside and explore! Buddy loves to be with you, whether outside on a walk or going for a ride! Buddy loves car rides, though he thinks he’s the driver! He’s about 10lbs, great on the leash and tolerates wearing clothing - but is just as happy to be nakey and roll around on the couch! Buddy came to us as a very picky eater but he finally has discovered that dog food isn’t so bad after all! Though human food is a quick way to his heart, Buddy loves “pizza” and “ice cream” and knows exactly what you’re talking about when you say those words! If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter.   If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today! Be sure to check our Facebook page "Rhode Home Rescue" for details on upcoming events and other announcements.June 22, 2026, 8:39 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age: 1 Year (est. as of 5/19/26) Weight: 11.2 Lbs. (as of 5/19/26) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Peapie is a sweet petite young lady who loves to socialize!  Peapie seems to be a Chihuaua/Terrier/Pomeranian mix. She comes to SOS from a foster home where she lived with adults, kids, other pups and cats and has gotten along with everyone so far. She loves to wrestle with her doggie friends, enjoys some bitey mouth play with them and can be a little overbearing in her enthusiasm at times. She has responded well to correction. She loves playgroup, toys and playing fetch. She also enjoys meeting other new pups.  Peapie has had no accidents while working on her housetraining and is happy to be in her crate when needed. She also rides very well in a car in her crate. Peapie enjoys being with her humans and after a good play session likes to curl up in a lap for a cuddle and at 11 lbs is just the right size! She is described as eager to please, playful, affectionate, resilient, carefree and a perfect houseguest. Her previous foster home loved her personality, looks and temperament. As a young dog, she will benefit from training and will need to learn how to walk on a leash and some obedience skills. We don't know much about Peapie's background but we do know that she is incredibly joyful, fun, an absolute joy and ready to share all of that with her new family. Peapie sounds like she will be an awesome addition to any family and she is ready to meet them and go to her furever home.  An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 22, 2026, 9:01 pm
