If you would like to apply to take ARIEL home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. Aurora is around 3-4 years old and Ariel is around 1-2 years old, they could even be mother and daughter. They both came from a hoarder situation and haven’t seen much of the world until now, both are a little shy but learning to trust and adjust to new experiences. We are looking for a quiet home for them, no young kids or busy noisy households, they could be adopted together or separately, but both seem to do better in the company of another dog. Aurora is slightly more shy than Ariel.

Story
Adoption Donation $499 Located: RI  Age: approx 6 years old Weight: 7 lbs. Lover of smaller sized dogs and fine with cats, Sadie is looking for a friend to live and play with.  She is a champion cuddler, likes to “high-five” with her paw, loves to be petted, and also loves playtime with a similarly-sized dog.  She is mainly quiet, does very well with house training, loves a car ride, and rocked her Home Depot expedition, charming everyone she met. She is spayed and just had a dental.  If you are interested in adopting her, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  booklover884@gmail.com  Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc. Maye Provac is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home!    Maye is a 2 to 3 year old Chihuahua mix with major Velcro dog energy. She can be a little nervous at first but once she feels safe she is all in following you from room to room and happiest right by your side. She is good with other dogs but truly prefers people sleeps perfectly in her crate and is doing great with pee pads since the cold is not her vibe. Picky with her own food but very enthusiastic about people food Maye is looking for a loving home where she can be someone’s constant little shadow. **Due to clinic delays: this puppy will be available for adoption with the collection of an additional $100 spay/neuter voucher deposit, which will be refunded upon receipt of successful procedure at our partnering clinic.   If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter.   If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today! Story
Sherman Provac is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home!    Sherman is a sweet old man that unfortunately found himself at a local animal control.  A shelter is not the place for this chubby old man so we took him in.  He does well with other dogs, since he is not neutered yet he can be very interested in females.  A home with other male dogs or a female who will tell him off is best. He enjoys napping on the couch next to his foster dad to watch football on Sundays.  He is good in the car, sleeps in his crate at night and has does well with housetraining.   Sherman would love to spend his golden years romping in a yard, finding sunny spots to lounge in, and enjoying laid back time with a family of his own. Story
Age:   approx 11 years old   Weight: 14  lbs My adoption fee is $ 199  which includes transportation charges to the Northeast. Meet Hillary — the Comeback Queen! This fabulous little lady has been on a major transformation journey. Once a plus&#226&#128&#145sized princess at 26 pounds, Hillary has worked her tail off (with plenty of wiggles along the way) and is now rocking a sleek, healthy 14 pounds. At 11 years young, she’s feeling lighter, brighter, and ready for her next big milestone — finding her forever person to cheer her on as she continues her wellness journey. Hillary is the definition of a snuggle bug. If you’ve ever dreamed of a warm, wiggly companion curled up beside you in bed, she’s your girl. She adores being close, soaking up affection, and turning herself into the world’s cutest weighted blanket. She’s also a social butterfly who loves playing with other dogs and soaking up sunshine whenever she gets the chance. Give her a warm patch of light and she’ll happily melt into it. Hillary gets along beautifully with dogs her size or smaller, and with her newfound energy, she sometimes thinks she’s big enough to take on the big dogs too — a little sassy confidence never hurt anyone. She comes fully prepared for her next chapter: spayed, microchipped, and up&#226&#128&#145to&#226&#128&#145date on all vaccines. If you’re looking for a sweetheart with a glow&#226&#128&#145up story, a cuddly spirit, and a heart full of determination, Hillary is ready to love you fiercely and snuggle you daily.   If you serious about adopting, the first step is to fill out an adoption application on our website:   https://www.smalldogrescuene.org/February 7, 2026, 8:42 pm
