Story
Meet Yang! Yang is a 7-month-old deer head Chihuahua weighing in at only 6 pounds—a tiny little guy with a huge heart. He absolutely loves being held and carried and is happiest curled up in your arms. Yang has a shy, gentle demeanor and may take a day or two to warm up in a new environment, but once he does, he’s incredibly loving and devoted and so worth the wait. He’s friendly and does well with kids, cats, and other dogs, though he would thrive best in a home with older children, as very young or boisterous kids can be a bit overwhelming for him. Yang is both crate trained and pad trained, making him an easy little companion. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find his forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and cherished.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age: 4 Months (est. as of 12/11/25) Weight: 2.8 lbs (as of 11/26/25) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Tot Teeny is proof that good things come in small packages! This pint-sized pup could not be sweeter or cuter! She is still a puppy but loves to cuddle in your lap as much as she likes to play. She gets along with other pups, cats, adults and children but would probably do best in a home with older kids since she is so tiny. She has played with dogs her size and larger and is playful yet respectful. She uses a puppy pad and is working on her crate and house training. She walks on a little harness leash and has never met a person or pup she doesn't like. She rides well in a car in her crate. She has been in a foster home and is described as a perfect houseguest, gentle, smart and affectionate. She likes to play but will then chill in your lap. Did we mention that her bark sounds like a little mouse?  She is a pretty little girl who is a beautiful blend of black, tan and white and has an adorable white front paw! Her size must be considered since she is such a tiny Tot, she would have a tough time keeping up with small kids or dogs who engage in more rambunctious play and could get hurt. She was one of a litter of two and unfortunately is the only survivor. She is a perfect little holiday miracle! Her fondest wish is to have a cozy home of her own with her own family. Let's make little Tot's wish come true.  An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 22, 2025, 7:05 pm

Adoption Donation  $TBD Located:   RI   Age: approx    2 & 3  years old     Weight:   lbs.   Bonded pair Mia & Teddy. Teddy is 2 years old & Mia is 3 years old. They are spayed/neutered and super, super sweet!   If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  friendsoha@yahoo.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc. Story
Introducing Dearie! 😍🐾 Dearie is absolutely beautiful in the most soft, soulful way. Her warm caramel coat glows in the sunlight, and her sweet, expressive eyes have a way of looking straight into your heart. There’s something so gentle and endearing about her face—she has that quiet, tender beauty that makes you want to scoop her up and promise her forever. Dearie is a 2-year-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix weighing about 25 lbs. She’s sweet, loving, and affectionate, with a calm, easygoing personality. She’s more on the low-energy side and is perfectly content relaxing by your side, though she does enjoy the occasional leisurely stroll. She’s happy just being near her person and can also entertain herself when needed. She’s crate trained, housebroken, spayed, fully vaccinated, and truly ready to settle into a loving forever home where she can feel safe, cherished, and adored—just as she deserves 🤍 RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the New England area and delivered in RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please go to: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com
