Story
Tupelo is Now fostering in New England!Meet Tupelo, a very good dog looking for his forever home. The thing is, he’s kinda picky and like to take time to get to know people. But once he gets to know you and trusts you, he will be there with his silly ears to make you smile. Then, he will love spending his time cuddling next to you on the couch or having a good game of tug of war. He loves stuffies and chew toys. Though sometimes he thinks those stuffies need to be unstuffed! He is so good on walks you’ll be impressed! Of course, he’s housebroken and crate-trained, too; as we said, he is a good boy!I guess the thing you need to understand most about him is that he doesn’t like to be picked up or handled unexpectedly. And please respect his space and approach slowly. Maybe something happened in the past, who knows, but touching Tupelo, other than when he asks for it, makes him uncomfortable. But once your friends, he’ll ask for pick-ups and cuddles a lot, so don’t worry too much.Tupelo loves other dogs and loves to play. His foster mom knows another active dog in his home would make him very happy. Tupelo is a happy, healthy 4-year-old boy with a funny scrunchy face and crazy ears just waiting for his best friend(s). It could be You!! Apply so you can talk to his foster mom, and she’ll be happy to tell you all about this good boy.Check out the suite boy playing with his foster sibling:https://youtu.be/_N4wzmeeRoQ?si=3PLwgE4tw8x-GlHKName: TupeloBreed: Chihuahua MizSex: MaleAge: 4 years  (estimated)Weight: 15 lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Over age 12Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: Probably not...Adoption Fee: $350.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Chihuahua lovers, meet Lilliput! This adorable 14-pound bundle of joy is searching for her own loving family. Rescued by a good Samaritan, Lilliput is now ready to start her new life. While she may initially be timid and hesitant in a new environment, Lilliput is the most lovable little thing once she overcomes her fears. She still likes to be the boss, in true chihuahua fashion, but she also loves to cuddle up with her human. If you’re a fan of kisses, this girl has plenty to share. Lilli thrives in a calm household that understands her need for space to decompress and respects situations that make her uneasy. She enjoys playing with her toys and other dogs, although she can be a little dominant. Therefore, she would be best suited to a home with a small, submissive dog or as the only dog. Lilliput has a strong outdoor prey drive and loves to chase birds and squirrels in her foster's fenced yard. Her leash walking skills are improving daily, and sniff walks are a great outlet for her energy. Although housebreaking is still a work in progress, Lilliput is clever and with a little more time and patience, she’s bound to master it. She has shown significant improvement in her foster home. Lilliput learns to trust fast and to give and receive love. She truly is a gem waiting to sparkle in the right home. She will come with her chihuahua attitude along her emotional support dino, one of her favorite toys. We really can’t wait to find this little one the best home ever!Name: LilliputBreed: Chihuahua/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 1 -2 years (estimated)Weight: 14 lbs.Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesHousetrained: Working on it!BASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: No, too much "busy"Good with Dogs: Does enjoy the company of a 4-legged submissive and similar size canine playmateGood with Cats: No Cats-Too high of a prey driveAdoption Fee: $300.00Location of dog currently: New England IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England. Age:   approx 4 years old   Weight: 10  lbs My adoption fee is $ 499  which includes transportation charges to the Northeast. Journey was found abandoned at a local rest stop along the interstate. She is a little shy but craves getting petted and being close to people.  She takes a little time getting to know the household routine.  Once she is acclimated her true personality comes out.  She is working on leash training.  She loves to be around other dogs and would love a  buddy in the home when she finds her new family.   If you serious about adopting, the first step is to fill out an adoption application on our website:   https://www.smalldogrescuene.org/May 9, 2024, 10:47 pm
