Story

Pixie is an affectionate dog that loves back rubs. She is not a lap dog, but likes to be near you, touching in some way. She has been raised on 4.5 acres and though she is an indoor dog, she loves to go in and out all day and run around the property. She loves playing catch and catching the ball mid-air. She was crate trained and even though we no longer close the gate, she likes to lay in her crate, on her pillow, or on the couch during the day. She has never been around children and so she would be best with a single person or just a couple. She has been raised with a cat and does well when other dogs have been brought to the house, but she has not had much socializing beyond that. She has spent most of her adult life being care for by a gentleman in his 90's who is going to a retirement community. She is timid and wary of strangers. She will bark at strangers and takes a little time to warm up to them. She would be best in a peaceful home that does not have a lot of visitors.
