Story
Ladies, here is the man for you... he prefers women over the male species and is a typical chihuahua who is loyal to his person. He is good with dogs his size. He is around 7 years old and needs a loving home as he approaches his senior years. If you understand those sweet chi personalities and think Bo might be your man, please read on. RECOMMENDATIONS & PROCEDURES Please note, the following are recommendations for puppies and different breeds of dogs. We will evaluate each application on an individual basis to see what is best for the dog/puppy and the potential adopter. Puppies are very fragile and not toys. We recommend children be at least six years old to be considered to adopt a puppy. Small breed dogs ( such as chihuahuas, yorkies, shih tzus , etc) we recommend children be at least eight years old. Herding, working breeds we recommend children to be at least 12 years old. Again these are recommendations. Adoption Procedures: We will travel up to two hours ( one way) to do physical home visits and we do not do virtual home visits. Most of our dogs come from bad situations and we want to know where their forever home is going to be. While we do not require fencing on all dogs, certain dogs that need a fenced in yard, will not be adopted unless potential adopter has one. We also adopt some dogs to people who live in apartments ( as long as the landlord approves) but not all dogs. We do not adopt to anyone under 21 years of age. We also do not feel college students are the best fit for most of our dogs. Most of our dogs again, come from bad situations and need lots of attention. Most college students have financial responsibilities and we feel need to be focused on school. Our goal is to match the dog with a family that fits the dog’s needs. We are solely focused on what is best for each dog in our rescue. These dogs have had enough moving around, dumped out like trash, and we want to ensure they find their forever home. We do require you sign a contract and if at any time you cannot continue to provide for the dog, the dog comes back to the rescue. Your first step to adoption is filling our our on line application. You will then get an automated email stating we got your application Next our adoption coordinator will be in touch either by phone or email If your references check out, a home visit will be scheduled. After the home visit is done, a meet and greet with the dog you are interested in and/or any other available dogs we have will be scheduled If the dog and you are a match, contract will be signed and you may take your new family member home. Story
Our sweet boy Barney came from a very bad hoarding situation and was understandably a bit shook up at first. He has since started to warm up to his foster mom and is doing better each day. Timid at first, but if you give him a little time, he is your best buddy. If Barney looks like your boy, please read our adoption procedures and fill out our on line application Listed below is our adoption procedures for Clifford’s Army Rescue. We will travel up to two hours ( one way) to do physical home visits and we do not do virtual home visits. Meet Pen!  Pen is the cutest little Chihuahua you ever did see. She really wants to love humans, but is so scared. She still not sure, but she’s definitely willing to learn and try with an adopter who is very gentle and takes their time with her. Pen wants you to be in the same room with her so she can see you and be comforted by you, but would love for her people to let her come to them. When she finally realizes that life isn’t so scary she will be the best companion you ever did meet.   She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Pen is currently being fostered in South Carolina.   ADOPT PEN!! www.LuckyPupRescueSC.com The adoption fee is $300.00 and we require a vet check and home visit. May 6, 2024, 11:37 am

Story
Meet Leah!  I’m an 8-pound, 2-year-old bundle of joy, and I’m thrilled to be discovering the wonders of being a cherished little girl. At first, I might seem a tad timid, but don’t be fooled—I warm up faster than a sunbeam on a chilly morning!  Especially if you have treats—oh, those are my weakness! Being a young pup, I’ve got energy to spare! I love playing with toys, but you know what gets my tail wagging even more? Running around outside! I zip through the grass like a little rocket. My foster mom says I’ve got the makings of an agility superstar with a bit of training. After all that playtime, I’m ready for a cozy retreat. You’ll find me curled up in my crate, catching some Z’s, or snuggled close to my foster mom. But here’s the secret: I’m ready for my forever home! I want to shower my new family with unconditional love and show them what it means to have a furry companion by their side. So, dear human, are you ready for a new family member? Do you think I’d be a paw-some fit for you? Let’s embark on this delightful journey together!   She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Leah is currently being fostered in South Carolina.   ADOPT LEAH!! www.LuckyPupRescueSC.com The adoption fee is $300.00 and we require a vet check and home visit. May 6, 2024, 11:37 am

Story
Meet Leta!  Meet little lovely Leta! Looking for a gentle soul to keep you company? Look no further than Leta! This sweet little dog makes everyone smile. Anyone who meets her comments on how cute, calm, cuddly and gentle she is. Leta is happy to hangout by herself, with other dogs or with people of all ages. She does amazingly well in a house full of noise and chaos, but wouldn’t say no to a peaceful single person home either. She enjoys the company of other dogs but will happily go into her crate to be by herself. She quickly learned how to paw at the door for potties and doesn’t have accidents in the home. She doesn’t bark, even when other dogs are yapping away. Leta is very easy going! She molds herself so quickly into a family’s lifestyle. Leta will approach visitors with a wagging tail and a “please cuddle me” look. Leta’s personality and behavior is PERFECT. Her personality shines! Can not emphasize enough, she’s amazing! However, this sweet soul has a rough past. With that, comes some medical conditions. Poor Leta does have a heart murmur. She was rescued in extra poor health on top of the murmur, but is so lucky to be a Lucky Pup! Every day she gets stronger and better. Leta is only 12 years young but acts like she’s 8 the most. As her body heals and gets stronger, her age shows even less and less. She has a full life left to live and love to give! Let’s will literally jump into your lap and melt your heart in second’s flat.   She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Leta is currently being fostered in South Carolina.   ADOPT LETA!! www.LuckyPupRescueSC.com The adoption fee is $300.00 and we require a vet check and home visit.  May 6, 2024, 11:37 am
