She still not sure, but she’s definitely willing to learn and try with an adopter who is very gentle and takes their time with her. Pen wants you to be in the same room with her so she can see you and be comforted by you, but would love for her people to let her come to them. When she finally realizes that life isn’t so scary she will be the best companion you ever did meet.   She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Meet Leta!  Meet little lovely Leta! Looking for a gentle soul to keep you company? Look no further than Leta! This sweet little dog makes everyone smile. Anyone who meets her comments on how cute, calm, cuddly and gentle she is. Leta is happy to hangout by herself, with other dogs or with people of all ages. She does amazingly well in a house full of noise and chaos, but wouldn’t say no to a peaceful single person home either. She enjoys the company of other dogs but will happily go into her crate to be by herself. She quickly learned how to paw at the door for potties and doesn’t have accidents in the home. She doesn’t bark, even when other dogs are yapping away. Leta is very easy going! She molds herself so quickly into a family’s lifestyle. Leta will approach visitors with a wagging tail and a “please cuddle me” look. Leta’s personality and behavior is PERFECT. Her personality shines! Can not emphasize enough, she’s amazing! However, this sweet soul has a rough past. With that, comes some medical conditions. Poor Leta does have a heart murmur. She was rescued in extra poor health on top of the murmur, but is so lucky to be a Lucky Pup! Every day she gets stronger and better. Leta is only 12 years young but acts like she’s 8 the most. As her body heals and gets stronger, her age shows even less and less. She has a full life left to live and love to give! There is something about a senior dog that brings out the best in us. Loving an elderly pup who wants nothing more than to love and be loved is so gratifying. Meet Berry, a 15 yr old mixed breed boy who is affectionate, gentle, wise...and blind. His loss of eyesight doesn't stop this handsome fella from exploring his safe environment - in between long naps, cuddles with humans, and the occasional snack. This sweet boy shows his gratitude for pets and ear scratches by gently asking for more. And then, off for another long nap. Berry is house trained and asks to be let out to do his business. But as an older gent, he may "leak" in between potty breaks. His foster mom easily solved that fact of life by giving Berry a stylish diaper to keep him comfortable. Berry also receives daily (low cost) meds required for his advanced age, which he takes without protest.
