Story
Gordy is a 1-year-old Chihuahua/ Labrador Retriever mix! Labs and Chihuahuas are both known for their loyalty to their families, so you’re sure to find a loving companion in Gordy. Gordy is already full grown at just 24 lbs. He is a playful dude who loves being chased and playing tug of war. That said, he knows how to kick back, too. He loves a good snuggle sesh after a fun day with you. His foster mom says that he enjoys sitting pressed up next to her leg and will do the same in bed. He also does these silly stretches where he'll jump up on his humans and stretch like a cat. If you are on the hunt for a silly, lovable, dog who is a great size, please consider giving Gordy a forever home. He is potty-trained, leash-trained and ready to go! He's just waiting for someone to adopt him! Apply today!

Story
Well, we’ve recently taken in an unconventional family of our own here at SNIPSA. Poppy and Rosemary were found together with a shared litter of eight puppies. We don’t know whose is whose, but these ladies don’t seem to care. They share equal responsibility in nursing, cleaning and protecting their little ones! Their maternal nature is a true testament to their loving and sweet temperament. Just like these girls have stuck together, they will stick by your side. With every interaction, Poppy and Rosemary are sure to show you affection with kisses and an eagerness to be near. These two ladies are already picking up how to walk on a leash after only a couple of days, so they’re sure to master the rest of their household manners in no time! The best part is they’re already potty trained! That’s right, these girls know how to keep their space nice and neat. As Chihuahua mixes, these two will stay on the smaller side. Thankfully, they’re already fully grown - so there won’t be any surprises! Love should be multiplied, not divided. So, why not add some love into your life and meet one of these amazing girls today!

Story
Looking for a tiny slice of heaven? Zoey is our favorite little angel. This tiny girl was saved from euthanasia at a local shelter at the ripe age of twelve years old. Then, she lived with a loving owner for several years until they sustained a hip injury, rendering them unable to care for her. Now at 15 years old, Zoey is seeking a home where she can rest her old bones and finish out her golden years. Zoey has come out of her shell rather quickly in her foster home and likes to follow around her human friends when she isn't sleeping. Yup–despite her cataracts and stiff legs, Zoey loves to be in the middle of the action! She also appreciates tasty snacks and the occasional play session, though she can be cautious about being picked up. Given time and the opportunity to bond with a new owner, we can see her as the perfect chi-companion. If you’ve got a heart for seniors and a cozy bed to spare, please apply to adopt dear Zoey.

Story
Casper is a 2-year-old dashing 7-pound male Chihuahua with a most curious and very cute little curly Q tail. Casper was rescued by Poquita Paws with several other small dogs found in a house holding 93 dogs in horrendous conditions. The dogs had never been outside. We have had to move slowly to gain Casper’s trust and to allow him to become the young happy pup he is however, we can still have episodes of teasing behavior that require a few circles around the couch to pick him up. He has never been aggressive toward anyone only scared. He loves to cuddle with fellow Chihuahuas and other small dogs. Recently he has started to pick up various toys and shake them, run with them, and try to share them with friends. He is doing really good with housebreaking as he loves to run in the yard and knows he has business to do out there. Casper is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and has had a vet evaluation. His adoption fee is $300. If you would like to meet this special boy, please submit an application from www.poquitapawsrescue.org.ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Poquita Paws does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes spay/neutered, rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventrative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. Story
Sally Sue is a 10 pound six-year-old Chihuahua who is a silly little character. Her favorite maneuver since rescue is scooting several feet on her belly. Sally was rescued from a house with 93 dogs inside. Of the dogs our group rescued, the older ones like Sally were more social. Sally was very pregnant when she arrived with one baby on board. She successfully delivered Chula and was a great mom to her little baby girl. She gets along with most other dogs now that she is separated from her baby. She is playful with others and toys. She would do well with older children. Sally is very housebroken which is quite surprising. This girl will low crawl on her belly across your living room, to be with you. Sally is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative and has seen the vet for evaluation. Sally Sue’s adoption fee is $250.  In interested, please submit an application from www.poquitapawsrescue.org.ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Poquita Paws does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.
