Story
I found SkyLili on line, a young man was gonna go back to school and decided that he could not keep her. I thought she was going to be much bigger, but since he took her picture closer up, I couldn't tell that she was small, he just said she was 6 weeks old. I was so scared to get her, she was going to be for my grandson, and he is very small. But my daughter walked into my room with the tiniest of dogs I had ever seen! She was adorable, and definitely would not be bitting my grandson. So I had no reason not to keep her. When I finally took her to the vet, she didn't even weigh 5 lbs. I can't remember how much she weighed , I am getting the info from the vet, I remember thinking, wow, then she must have only weighed about a pound when I got her! She's extremely playful and I always figure that she still thinks she is a puppy! I had her fixed and microchiped and have always gotten her shots, and keep her on simparica trio. She's very funny! Loves to play take away!

Story
we call her Annie, she was born Nov 27, 2025. She has started She knows how to use wee wee pads, and go outside w a leash . and she is adorable and calm and sweet deserves a family of her own. She will need an experienced /patient adoptive family. I rescued several small dogs. Belle Starr , is a very petite five month old sweet girl she is indoor wee wee pad trained, she is very shy and skittish until she builds trust , she will do best when the patient adopter message me for an adoption application to be considered, has not been around kids yet, I FEEL SHE NEEDS TO BE ADOPTED TO A FAMILY WITH ANOTHER SMALL DOG FOR HER TO FOLLOW THE LEAD easier transition for her to learn the ropes . Her mom is a shih zu and dad a chiweenie. Text me your email address for an adoption application to be considered 830 237 8588 ✨ Special Adoption Opportunity – Small Chiweenie / Shih Tzu Mixes ✨ We have several of these sweet little rescue babies looking for very special adopters 💛 All of them are fully vetted, but they come from a very unique background. They spent their lives with one elderly owner (a truck driver) and had very limited interaction with the outside world. Because of this, many of them can be skittish and unsure around new people and environments. 🐾 What they’re used to: • Going in and out of a dog door • Sleeping in bed with their person • Living with other small dogs 🐾 What they need: • A patient, committed adopter who understands rescue dogs • A slow transition into their new home • Safe confinement at first (small room + wee wee pads) to build trust • Time to bond at their pace 🚫 These are NOT dogs that can be put straight into a backyard — they are flight risks and can easily get lost if scared. 💡 In my experience, they do BEST in homes that: • Already have another small, confident dog • Are willing to follow guidance and give them time to adjust • Understand that trust is earned, not forced The amazing news? ❤️ Several have already been successfully adopted by families who followed these steps — and they are now thriving in their new lives! These are what I lovingly call my “project babies” — they just need someone willing to give them a chance. If this sounds like the right fit for you, please reach out and I’ll send over an adoption application 🐶💛

Story
Howdy y’all! I’m Raz––a handsome, sensitive soul looking for a fresh start after my previous owner sadly passed away. I’m a loyal and independent guy searching for a quiet, low-key environment. Recently, I’ve been loving my training boot camp at Lone Star State K9, learning how to be a polite pup and stay in my crate. I may be a cowboy, but that doesn’t mean my manners can’t be top-tier! Despite still being a puppy, I’ve been told I’m kind of an old soul… so I’d prefer hanging out in an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy kids who respect boundaries; I love to be around my people, but I also just like my personal space sometimes! When it comes to other pets, I’ve got kind of a lone wolf attitude, and personally, I’d love to be your loyal one-and-only. My feelings have been hurt by other dogs before, but I’ve been doing a great job at camp learning how to dust off my boots and handle it. That doesn’t all mean this cowboy can’t get rodeo-rowdy. I love a good “bug tussle” with my person. If you’re looking for a total roly-poly, I’m your guy! I’m ready to retire from the range and be your loyal canine companion. Apply to adopt me today!

Story
What’s Chef Sookie cookin’ up today? Nine puppies is what! This brave blonde mama was brought to our office with a full batch of newborns in need of care. Traveling from our rescue partners, Sookie brought over a few more than just puppies. This poor family, though spirits high, were covered in fleas. With a gentle but effective bath, this family of ten is free and clear from dirt and bugs and is ready for a fresh start. While she’s been very occupied looking after her little ones, her personality still shines through in foster care. Once the pups are old enough to leave the nest, we know this mama will be in desperate need of a break and someone to take care of her, for once. And in return, Sookie will bake up a life full of love for her forever family. After all, who doesn’t like a sweet treat, and Sookie is as sweet as they come! So, order up! Sookie is waiting for you!

Story
This sweet pup is part of a large rescue intake after a local animal lover sought help managing over 30 dogs. While completely new to leashes and the great outdoors, these well-loved pups have one major thing going for them: they absolutely L-O-V-E people and are eager to bond with everyone they meet! Fat Butt is a handsome black and white guy who brings a bit more confidence to the table, combining a sweet and easy-going personality with a ready-to-please attitude. Our team of staff members and fosters are busy helping them all learn the ropes of outdoor adventures, but what this pup needs most is a home to call their own. Fully vetted and overflowing with affection, Fat Butt is ready to step into a bright future with you. Open your heart and home by submitting an adoption application today!
