Meet Mitzi Meet sweet Mitzi! Mitzi is a sweet and tenderhearted dog who is about 2 years old and weighs 16 pounds. We rescued her from a shelter near the border of Mexico. She does have a warm-up period when meeting new people. Once she knows you will be kind to her, she loves to get attention and affection. Coming from the environment she was in previously, it is apparent that she wasn’t handled very much so she just needs time to trust and know that she is in a safe space. She gets along well with the other dogs at the rescue. She would do best in a calm and patient home without small children where she can acclimate to her new surroundings and learn to trust. She is a wonderful dog who just wants a family to call her own! Mitzi is at our rescue near San Antonio and a meet and greet can be arranged with an approved application. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. Well, we’ve recently taken in an unconventional family of our own here at SNIPSA. Poppy and Rosemary were found together with a shared litter of eight puppies. We don’t know whose is whose, but these ladies don’t seem to care. They share equal responsibility in nursing, cleaning and protecting their little ones! Their maternal nature is a true testament to their loving and sweet temperament. Just like these girls have stuck together, they will stick by your side.
