Tika is full of energy and loves to play. She has always had Fromms dog food and joint/coat chews. She has been on Trifexis as long as we have had her. She eats her treats fast and will go after the other dogs if they are still eating theirs. She seems to be an alpha dog and does not get along well with other dogs. She has never bitten anyone to include our grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loves to be petted, have her belly rubbed and lay in your lap.

Beignet - Chi/Dachshund mix - Female - 8 Months - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Meet Beignet: This adorable 8-month-old female Chihuahua/Dachshund mix joined out program due to the diligence and persistence of local rescuers who trapped her and her sister (Roux) behind a local Drugstore after they had been spotted abandoned there and where too shy to come directly to the rescuers - as far as trapping goes, this rescue was pretty quick and easy, they were ready to be rescued! Beignet is still a little shy when meeting new people, but thanks to her sister and the other dogs in the foster home, she is quickly learning the house rules and routines, she loves to play with other dogs, is checking out toys and LOVEs snuggling on the sofa. She does not yet love being crated (at this time for private meals only) and is still learning the concept of walking on leash, but she is smart and sweet and wants to learn. Oh, and she loves treats, so that helps. Beignet is looking for a home with another dog for her to play with and the learn from, someone with experience with shy dogs would be a bonus, she'll need a little patience in the beginning. Roux is sweet and curious, a little shy when first meeting new people, but curious enough to quickly get over that and accept pets and snuggles. Roux loves playing with other dogs, and is learning a lot from them, like house rules and routines, how to best snuggle with her person and playtime with toys. As a developing puppy, she loves to chew on antlers. She does not yet love being crated (she will eat in her crate but then protests confinement as soon as the meal is finished) and is also not yet a fan of the leash, as she has not yet learned of the opportunities available to her when leash walking has been accomplished, but she is smart and learns quickly. Living with another dog who can show her how its done is a huge bonus.
