Story
Michael is a 11-12year old male neutered chihuahua mix. He is an absolute lover of an old man. Enjoys long naps snuggled up next to you. He is very mood motivated and will eat anything. However, he has a sensitive stomach. He does great with kids, he will play a little bit but mainly just wants affection. He is afraid of cats and will ignore them or hide from them. He can be very scared of other dogs, he will bark and growl sometimes, but mostly also just avoids them, hes pretty scared of big dogs! Very friendly with all humans. He's had a rough time with his sensitive stomach and lost weight and is now regaining on a better diet. He definitely needs a dental, hes got the old man teeth! We love him, but unfortunately he has gotten quite barky and we've gotten complaints and are now forced to rehome. I believe this is due to him being extra protective as we have a baby incoming in January! He is kennel trained and potty trained.

Story
Meet Xing! Breed: Chihuahua (Tripod — 3-legged hero!) Birthday: 10/28/2023 Age: 2 years old Weight: 8 Pounds Health: Healthy, vaccinated, and neutered — though he’s thriving, please visit your own vet soon after adoption to continue his great care. Personality Xing is pure sunshine in a tiny package! Despite being a tripod, he’s full of life, confidence, and heart. He doesn’t let anything slow him down — he hops and scoots with pride, ready for love, treats, and belly rubs. Xing is playful, affectionate, and loves being close to his people. He’s brave, resilient, and endlessly sweet — a little dog with a huge spirit. Breed Info Chihuahuas are known for their intelligence, loyalty, and charm. Small but fearless, they bond deeply with their people and make wonderful companions. A tripod Chihuahua like Xing may require some simple adjustments (like safe flooring or gentle handling), but their hearts are every bit as strong — and their love is absolutely boundless. Owner Responsibilities Provide gentle exercise and supervised playtime — Xing is active and enjoys exploring safely. Maintain regular vet care and preventive health. Offer affection, consistency, and understanding — tripods can do everything other dogs can! Make sure he has cozy resting spots and soft bedding for comfort. Things to Consider Before bringing Xing home, think about: Do you have time every day to play, love, and bond with him? Does your landlord allow pets, and is your home safe for a small dog? Can you provide lifelong care — food, vet visits, and training? Is your home stable and ready for a long-term furry family member? Patience is essential — rescues need time to adjust, especially when learning new routines. The 3-3-3 Rule First 3 days: Let her (him) decompress and feel safe. The world is new and full of smells and sounds. First 3 weeks: She’ll start understanding your routine, your love, and your voice. First 3 months: She’ll finally exhale — realizing she’s safe, loved, and home forever. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Commitment for Life Xing deserves a family who will stand by him through everything — who will celebrate his spirit and love him for the brave, joyful soul he is. Why Xing Would Be a Great Addition Xing’s courage will inspire you every single day. His joy is contagious, his snuggles are heartwarming, and his zest for life will remind you to embrace every moment. Adopting Xing means opening your heart to a loyal, loving companion who will fill your days with laughter, affection, and pure love.   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue. &#226&#156&#168 BUSTER — Male, Chihuahua Mix, DOB 12/05/2024, Weight 10 pounds Meet Buster Buster is a tiny guy with a HUGE heart. The moment he looks up at you with those big, soulful eyes, you feel it — this little boy is pure love. He has that special Chihuahua charm: a mix of sweetness, silliness, and unshakeable loyalty that makes you fall for him instantly. Buster is the kind of dog who wants nothing more than to be someone’s shadow, someone’s comfort, someone’s little piece of joy in a busy world. Personality Buster adores his people. He’s playful in a gentle, charming way and blossoms with affection and reassurance. He loves being held, loves snuggling, loves being included, and has the cutest little prance when he’s excited. He’s bright, curious, and always ready for a warm lap or a soft blanket. He may be small, but he loves big — and he wants a family who loves just as big in return. Breed Info Chihuahuas are known for their loyalty, big personalities, and deep bonds with their humans. They thrive on closeness, routine, and gentle guidance. They may be tiny, but they make some of the most devoted companions you’ll ever meet. Owner Responsibilities Buster needs patience, routine, soft guidance, and someone who understands that small dogs have big feelings. He will need regular vet care, training, gentle handling, and a home that keeps him safe and included. Things to Consider – Make sure your landlord allows pets – Consider your schedule — Buster thrives on closeness and companionship – Tiny dogs can be sensitive, so safe handling is important – Are you prepared for lifelong care, including food, vet visits, preventatives & love? – Think about your future — moves, travel, lifestyle changes all affect him – Puppies and young dogs need time, structure, and patience The 3-3-3 Rule Give him 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your rhythms, and 3 months to truly blossom. He will slowly show you every sweet, silly, loving part of himself. Why Buster Will Be a Great Addition If you’re looking for a dog who will adore you with his whole heart, Buster is your boy. He brings warmth, sweetness, and companionship into every room he enters. She’s alert, curious, and loves being the center of attention — but most of all, she loves her people deeply and shows it with endless tail wags and soft kisses. This little girl is small in size but huge in heart! Breed Info Chihuahuas are one of the world’s smallest dog breeds, usually weighing 4–7 pounds, but their personalities are larger than life! They’re known for their intelligence, loyalty, and bravery — they’ll stand guard like a big dog in a tiny body. Chihuahuas are affectionate and thrive in homes where they can be part of everyday life — whether that’s sitting on your lap, following you from room to room, or snuggling under a blanket beside you. Owner Responsibilities Owning a Chihuahua like Joy means being her trusted person for life: Provide warmth, love, and gentle structure — she thrives on routine and attention. Feed her high-quality food and maintain regular vet care. Offer safe playtime and light walks suited for her small frame. Protect her from cold weather — tiny pups like Joy need cozy sweaters and soft bedding! Keep up with grooming, nail trims, and dental care. Things to Consider Before adopting Joy, please take time to think through everything: Do you have enough time each day for love, play, and bonding? Does your landlord or HOA allow dogs? Can you commit to lifelong vet care, food, toys, and grooming? Are you in a stable home where Joy won’t have to face uncertainty? Are you ready for a loyal companion who wants to be by your side always? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Adoption is forever — please be sure you can give her a lifetime of love, patience, and care. Story
HI - I'M SARGE! I'm a sweet and shy 8-1/2-year-old black & tan Chihuahua mix who needs a forever home! I was rescued from a crowded California shelter awhile back, and that was a traumatic experience for me. As a result I'm a bit timid in new situations and around other dogs, and I'm happiest when I have a routine and can stick to it. I would likely do fine with a submissive female or as an only dog in the home. I weigh only 10 lbs. Please email for an application! I would love a forever home soon.

Story
Beau is a sweet energetic tiny boy of 7 yrs old and 9 pounds. He came in with his housemates Louie and Duke. He is the color of an Irish Setter, with a great fluffy tail. Allegedly a Pom-Chi mix. He`s pretty active, and has no trouble getting up on lower items, but needs assistance to get up on the bed. Stairs are not a problem. He is a good eater, Not picky..will eat anything. Although canned/fresh food is a favorite. He has no chronic health issues. When he arrived at OFOSA, he was in desperate need of a dental. He had several teeth removed, and is now fit as the proverbial fiddle. He gets along well with other dogs. No exposure to cats. He will growl a little if you get in his space, but that`s as far as it goes. He does like to bark at the doorbell, but that`s about it. VERY responsive to his name. This cutie boy would like nothing better than to be your lap dog for the rest of his days. He is fully vetted, chipped and neutered. To meet Beau please fill out the Dog Adoption Application on OFOSA.ORG and his foster mom will contact you. His adoption fee is $300.
