Story
This is Pip. I love this dog, but life circumstances mean that I can no longer care for him. It breaks my heart. I'm hoping Pip can find a loving home for him (and Ideally his brother-in-paw) to live out the rest of his days. Pip is 9, so he still has a lot of life left in him. The good is that he's the best cuddler ever, he's very caring and sweet. He loves to play and frankly would benefit from more exercise and attention than I've been able to provide for him. Unfortunately, Pip is a kind of rescue and has some baggage from his earlier life. In particular he is very anxious, (especially towards men) and has been on a years long journey to improve his barking and nipping. In addition, his front right leg has a limp from a previous injury that never healed quite right. He still maintains a happy life, but he's especially neurotic when his leg is agitated. Pip has been a very kind loving soul in my life. I deeply regret that I have to let him go, he deserves the best.

Story
Sweet 9‑Year‑Old Chihuahua – Free to the Right Home This is a very difficult decision for our family, but we are looking to re‑home our 9‑year‑old Chihuahua to a loving, calm home where he can truly thrive. He is an incredibly sweet dog who loves people and enjoys attention. He bonds closely with his person and would do best as an only pet, ideally with an older individual or couple who is home much of the day and can give him the one‑on‑one companionship he craves. Since we introduced a Yorkie puppy last year, he has struggled with stress and jealousy. While he is wonderful with people, he has shown that he does not do well sharing his home with a puppy. Duke is free to a good home only. Our priority is finding the right fit and ensuring he goes to someone who will give him the attention he craves. If you believe you could provide a safe, loving home, please message us. Gabe & Family

Story
&#226&#156&#168 BUSTER — Male, Chihuahua Mix, DOB 12/05/2024, Weight 10 pounds Meet Buster Buster is a tiny guy with a HUGE heart. The moment he looks up at you with those big, soulful eyes, you feel it — this little boy is pure love. He has that special Chihuahua charm: a mix of sweetness, silliness, and unshakeable loyalty that makes you fall for him instantly. Buster is the kind of dog who wants nothing more than to be someone’s shadow, someone’s comfort, someone’s little piece of joy in a busy world. Personality Buster adores his people. He’s playful in a gentle, charming way and blossoms with affection and reassurance. He loves being held, loves snuggling, loves being included, and has the cutest little prance when he’s excited. He’s bright, curious, and always ready for a warm lap or a soft blanket. He may be small, but he loves big — and he wants a family who loves just as big in return. Breed Info Chihuahuas are known for their loyalty, big personalities, and deep bonds with their humans. They thrive on closeness, routine, and gentle guidance. They may be tiny, but they make some of the most devoted companions you’ll ever meet. Owner Responsibilities Buster needs patience, routine, soft guidance, and someone who understands that small dogs have big feelings. He will need regular vet care, training, gentle handling, and a home that keeps him safe and included. Things to Consider – Make sure your landlord allows pets – Consider your schedule — Buster thrives on closeness and companionship – Tiny dogs can be sensitive, so safe handling is important – Are you prepared for lifelong care, including food, vet visits, preventatives & love? – Think about your future — moves, travel, lifestyle changes all affect him – Puppies and young dogs need time, structure, and patience The 3-3-3 Rule Give him 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your rhythms, and 3 months to truly blossom. He will slowly show you every sweet, silly, loving part of himself. Why Buster Will Be a Great Addition If you’re looking for a dog who will adore you with his whole heart, Buster is your boy. He brings warmth, sweetness, and companionship into every room he enters. He’s the dog who curls into you when you’re tired, celebrates when you’re happy, and stands by you like your tiny, loyal best friend. Bringing Buster home means bringing home love — simple, pure, and constant. Story
Meet Chelsea Breed: Chihuahua / Rat Terrier Mix Sex: Female DOB: 9/3/2025 Weight: 15 Pounds Health: Healthy and growing Chelsea is a bright, lively little girl with curious eyes and a heart that is already learning how to love deeply. At six months old, she is right in that beautiful in-between stage — still very much a puppy, but beginning to show the loyal, devoted companion she is going to become. She is small but sturdy, alert but affectionate, and ready to grow alongside a family who will guide her with patience and care. Personality Chelsea is playful, intelligent, and wonderfully people-focused. She loves interactive play, enjoys learning new things, and thrives when she feels included. At first she may take a moment to observe — typical of her mix — but once she feels safe, her affectionate and devoted side shines. She bonds closely and will happily follow her person from room to room, always wanting to be near. With consistency and reassurance, she will grow into a loyal little shadow who adores her family. Breed Info Chihuahua / Rat Terrier mixes are smart, alert, and emotionally bonded dogs. They tend to be quick learners who respond beautifully to positive reinforcement. This mix often combines the terrier’s playful spark and curiosity with the Chihuahua’s loyalty and attachment. They do best in homes that provide routine, mental stimulation, and daily companionship. While small in size, they require engagement and structure to stay balanced and confident. Owner Responsibilities Chelsea is still young and forming habits. She will need continued house training, socialization, and positive reinforcement to help her mature into a confident adult dog. Daily walks, play sessions, and mental enrichment are important. Small breed mixes are often underestimated — but they need just as much guidance and emotional investment as larger dogs. Consistency now will shape her entire future. &#226&#154&#160&#239&#184&#143 Things to Consider Before adopting Chelsea, ask yourself: Is your housing pet-approved and stable long term? If you move, will she move with you? Do you have time daily for interaction, play, and bonding? Are you financially prepared for routine vet care, food, training, and emergencies? Are you ready for a 12–15 year commitment — not just the puppy stage? Adoption means forever, through all life changes. Vet Care Even though Chelsea is healthy, establishing care with your own veterinarian immediately after adoption is essential. This ensures her vaccination schedule stays on track, her growth is monitored, and you build a long-term health partnership for her lifetime. Understanding the 3-3-3 Rule The first 3 days Chelsea may feel unsure or overstimulated as she adjusts. The first 3 weeks she will begin learning your routine and understanding expectations. By 3 months, with patience and consistency, she will feel secure and deeply bonded. Transition takes time. Stability builds trust. Why Chelsea? Chelsea is a bright little soul ready to choose her person and love them wholeheartedly. She is playful, intelligent, and deeply loyal once she feels safe. If you are ready to invest the time and commitment into shaping a young dog’s future, Chelsea will reward you with years of devotion, companionship, and joyful little footsteps following you everywhere.   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue.
