1. Health Condition
* Spayed
* Microchipped, heartworm negative, anaplasma to be retested in November 2026, and fully recovered from giardia.
2. Rescue Story
* Kuromi was staying at the Gimje City Shelter. During the sweltering heat of midsummer, the shelter environment became a high-risk setting for infectious diseases to spread quickly. Knowing she could not hold out much longer in those harsh conditions, Adogs stepped in urgently to rescue her.
3. Basic Information
* Interaction with People: Is a bit shy at first, but warms up very quickly. Once she gets comfortable, she welcomes you with a wagging tail and rolls over on her back to show her belly. Absolutely loves getting petted by people she has bonded with!
* Interaction with Dogs: Got along smoothly with other dogs at the center. At her foster home, she met another dog through a safety gate once and showed a bit of caution, but this was likely because she hadn't fully adjusted to the new environment yet.
* Interaction with Cats: Has not met any cats yet.
* Separation Anxiety:
Stays calm and rests well when left alone at her foster home. When nobody is around, she likes to explore a bit and comfortably relax.
* Potty Training: Is currently using indoor potty pads at her foster home with about a 50% success rate as she is still adapting. Does not mark. When she gets extremely scared in unfamiliar situations, she may accidentally have a minor accident (pee or poop).
* Grooming & Hygiene:
Stays very calm during baths, blow-drying, and brushing. Gets a little nervous when getting her nails and paw hair trimmed, but stays quiet and patient. Brushing her teeth is done every 1–2 days; dodges a bit, but tolerates it well overall. Sheds a little bit.
* Leash Walking: On her first walk, she was too scared to move. Leash training will begin once she fully settles into her foster home.
* Car Rides: Rides well in cars without any motion sickness.
* Biting/Mouthiness: Has never shown any biting or nipping behaviors.
* Barking: Has never barked. However, retraining may be needed if her environment changes.
* Personality & Temperament: Is timid at first, but turns into a bright and lovely dog once she adjusts. Even though she feels shy around new people, it passes quickly, and she becomes affectionate as soon as she gets familiar. Occasionally, after you come back home from going out, she might act a little distant at first—even in a home she knows well. But give her a short moment, and she will quickly soften up and welcome you warmly again!
