Doran is a 5-year-old Chinese Crested/Terrier mix who was sadly left behind by his previous people… but don’t worry, he’s handled it like the brave little champ he is. He’s learned that humans can actually be pretty great, especially the kind who give him a little time and a lot of patience. Once you’re in his trust circle? You’re in for life. This funny, quirky guy loves hanging out with other dogs and can often be found running around playing tag with his foster buddies like it’s recess. When he’s not zooming, he’s perfecting his sun-lounging skills, popping in and out of the doggy door like he owns the place, or chasing squirrels who absolutely started it. Doran’s favorite things include: Toys (all of them) Treats (yes, please) Couch cuddles (non-negotiable) Sunshine naps Being your little shadow once he feels safe He’s equal parts playful and cuddly, silly and sweet, and ready for a home that will let him settle in at his own pace and show him he’s finally home for good. He can be timid at first, but every day he’s learning that people can be kind and love can be safe. Once he feels comfortable, Dan shows his sweet side—curling up on the couch, soaking up the sunshine, and happily sharing space with other dogs. Dan enjoys the simple joys in life: sunbathing like a pro, chasing squirrels and birds, and letting deer know (from a safe distance) that he’s on neighborhood watch. He’s a soft, sensitive boy who thrives in calm environments and would love a quiet person or couple who can give him patience, consistency, and all the affection he’s been waiting for. Meet Paco, our charming senior Chihuahua with a heart as big as his adorable little ears! At just 8 pounds, Paco is the perfect pint-sized companion. Paco loves to follow you around the house like your tiny, loyal shadow. Whether you’re making coffee in the morning or relaxing in the evening, he’ll be right there, keeping you company. And when he’s had a full day of supervising and snuggling? Paco adorably tucks himself into bed when he’s tired — no fuss, just a polite little gentleman who knows when it’s time to rest. Paco is estimated to be around 10-12 years old and does well with other dogs. I would not recommend a home with small children just due to his age and small size. Paco does have some special medical needs. He came to us with horrible nasty teeth that all had to be pulled. His diet consists of small bite kibble soaked in water to make it soft for him to eat. He also enjoys wet foods of any kind. He also has a grade 4 out of 6 heart murmur and is on a regular heart medication for life. With this medication he still has a lot of life left to live! He is showing no outward symptoms of having a heart condition. Paco is located in Texas. His adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport and includes current shots, microchip, neuter and negative heart worm test.
