Doran is a 5-year-old Chinese Crested/Terrier mix who was sadly left behind by his previous people… but don’t worry, he’s handled it like the brave little champ he is. He’s learned that humans can actually be pretty great, especially the kind who give him a little time and a lot of patience. Once you’re in his trust circle? You’re in for life. This funny, quirky guy loves hanging out with other dogs and can often be found running around playing tag with his foster buddies like it’s recess. When he’s not zooming, he’s perfecting his sun-lounging skills, popping in and out of the doggy door like he owns the place, or chasing squirrels who absolutely started it. Doran’s favorite things include: Toys (all of them) Treats (yes, please) Couch cuddles (non-negotiable) Sunshine naps Being your little shadow once he feels safe He’s equal parts playful and cuddly, silly and sweet, and ready for a home that will let him settle in at his own pace and show him he’s finally home for good. He can be timid at first, but every day he’s learning that people can be kind and love can be safe. Once he feels comfortable, Dan shows his sweet side—curling up on the couch, soaking up the sunshine, and happily sharing space with other dogs. Dan enjoys the simple joys in life: sunbathing like a pro, chasing squirrels and birds, and letting deer know (from a safe distance) that he’s on neighborhood watch. She is super intelligent and likes to be the boss. Savannah loves to run and be in the sun and thus would need to have a fenced yard. Meet Gordita, a 2-year-old, 15 lb chi mix with the softest belly and the cutest little underbite you’ve ever seen. Despite a rough start—having spent most of her young life living in a car with a pack of dogs—she’s blossomed in foster care into a loving, quirky little character with so much potential. The world is still new to Gordita, but she’s learning fast. She adores belly rubs, gives gentle morning kisses, and plays sweetly with her dog foster siblings. She's smart (very motivated by food!), mellow, housetrained, and a model passenger in the car—always keeping a close eye on the barista to make sure they don’t mess up your drive-thru order. She's very helpful that way! That said, Gordita is still decompressing and learning how to feel safe in new environments. She’s shown some protective behavior toward her favorite people, especially when unfamiliar guests are around or when other dogs are being petted nearby. She would do best in a home with a calm and experienced adopter with shy or reactive dogs. Gordita’s ideal home would be a calm, rescue-savvy household—preferably with women or older adults—who can continue helping her build confidence at her own pace. Once she trusts you, she’s an affectionate cuddlebug and a pleasure to have around. She truly just wants to feel safe and loved. We know her perfect match is out there—someone who understands that -- past the nervous exterior -- Gordita is a delightful, devoted, tail-wagging girl just waiting to love you! Gordita is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.
