Story
George is a 6 lb purebred long-haired Chihuahua who is looking for his forever home. He has your typical Chihuahua traits, sometimes he's growly, sometimes he's barky but above everything he just wants to be with you and give kisses, a lot of kisses! He is a very healthy boy. However, he does have a grade 3 luxating patella on his rear left leg but this does not keep him down. We do limit jumping on and off of the couch + carry him up and down the stairs so he doesn't hurt himself. He may benefit from surgery down the line. His ideal home would be with another small dog around his age as he loves to romp around and play. He absolutely loves to run around and play with his toys all by himself also. He would do well with older children who respect his size and will need a fenced-in yard. George does well sleeping in a crate at night or sleeping in your bed, either way he sleeps through the night and snuggles up. He does not like the crate during the day and will voice his displeasure. George is not one to get into things so he is fine outside of the crate and just sits at the window waiting for his person to get home. He is 95% housebroken, as long as you keep him on a schedule he will go outside. He also does use potty pads inside if it is cold out. Story
Introducing Lucy Lawless! As her name implies she is a confident, adventurous girl who is not afraid to voice her opinion. Lucy is well socialized and well-loved doing great with both cats and dogs. She is still in her puppy stage making her energy level quite high with her current favorite activities being pulling out all the toys from the toy box, wrestling with the cat and making sure there is nothing happening in the house she doesn't have eyes on. Lucy would do best in a home that understands her activity level and is willing to work with her by enforcing boundaries when it comes to telling her that not everyone wants face kisses all the time and jumping into laps is not her decision to make. She can be spicy when it comes to her crate, preferring that it be a Lucy ONLY space. She takes all meals and treats in her crate and sleeps peacefully in her crate all night! Lucy is fully housebroken when kept on a schedule, once she learns where she is supposed to go she will signal to go out, however, if her signal is missed she will find a "private" bathroom to do her business in. Lucy is not a nuisance barker, she will bark when she has a reason to and when she does her voice will be heard. Her foster mom is currently working on getting her used to the leash and showing her what a joy walks can be. Lucy will be ready to go to her forever home on February 20th.(barring any unforeseen delays).

Story
Kanolli is a 5 year old Chihuahua/cockapoo mix who was an owner surrender when his previous owner could no longer care for him. He is doing his best and learning to adjust to a new life. We know that he loves treats and is very treat motivated. He is leash trained and absolutely loves to go on walks but startles easily so we are working on that. He is almost fully housebroken although he still has an accident occasionally. He is still nervous from his move to his new home so we are giving him space and time. He does well with other dogs and will require a fenced-in yard so he can run and play. Everything is new and different for Kanolli so he will need a home that is calm and someone who can take the time with him. Patience will be key but once he knows you are his new person, he should settle in fine. If you are interested in meeting Kanolli, fill out an application today! NY AG/MKTS RR363
