His mom was a Chihuahua, his dad… well, let’s just say Dad is a mystery man of intrigue. Judging by Bean’s short little legs and longish body, we suspect there may have been a low-riding dachshund involved in the family tree somewhere! Whatever his recipe is, the result is absolutely delicious. This sweet nugget is expected to grow up to be around 20 pounds – the perfect portable size for tagging along on coffee runs, weekend adventures, or supervising your Target trips from the cart like the VIP he is. Bean is your classic happy-go-lucky puppy who wakes up every day like, “BEST DAY EVER!” He comes fully equipped with all the standard puppy features: • professional zoomies • expert wiggle-butt • sloppy kisses • random bursts of chaos • lap snuggle mode • and a PhD in Toy Destruction 101 At his young age, Bean would do great with other dogs, kiddos, and even cats if introduced properly. Do you want a small dog companion but NOT a lap dog? Do you want a dog who will run from you rather than towards you? Do you want a dog who prefers the company of other dogs over you? Well then I have got the perfect dog for you!! Please give a warm welcome to Clementine! In all seriousness, she is an adorable little girl. Clementine came to Hart in June 2021 and has been in the same foster home ever since. She with so many others was rescued from a hoarding situation in Tennessee. To this day, she still exhibits nervousness around people. For this reason, she is looking for a very special adopter. The adopter will need to be very patient with her and give her ample time to show her brand of affection. While she still runs from me if I try to approach her to pet her, she does make her way over to me at bedtime for lovings. She will even sleep in bed with me and give me some sweet kisses. But when it’s time to get up, she darts away again. I truly can’t explain it but I have learned to accept it. Clementine does great with her doggy friends. She is most comfortable with other dogs. The ideal adopter will have another dog in the home that will groom and “mother” her. She loves having a dog around that she can curl up with!! Also, since she is hard to catch, a fenced in yard would be best for her. Due to the fact that Clementine can be a challenge to catch and she does not come when called, any meet/greets will have to be done at the adopter’s home and only within 25 miles of the Northern Kentucky area. PS Guard your socks. She loves socks (haha)

Hi, I am Rosie and I am super shy. I am about 6 years old, have been with HART since June 2021 and am looking for a home to call my own. I came from a hoarding situation where over 150 doggies just like me were living together in a small house. My ideal space will either be with one of my friends (King is extra snuggly) or in a home with a dog about my size to hang around. I am a pretty easy going gal and am not territorial about my food, toys or treats. I don't mind cats but a doggie friend is a must for me. I am happiest if I get to roam around a yard with a fence as I have rarely been on a leash and just don't like it. I think I could learn to love humans and their attention but I will need time and patience as I am just learning what it is like to be loved. Think you might be the family for me?
