The first thing you notice are his stylish and outlandishly amazing ears that deserve their own fan club, John Wayne is the whole package wrapped up in one adorable little body. John Wayne is a true people-lover who thrives on connection and will be your shadow in the best possible way. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood , this pup is always down for a walk. Best of all, John Wayne gets along wonderfully with dogs of all  sizes, making him a fantastic addition to a multi-pet household. Did we mention the smarts?   Calm Cocoa is one of those shy and chill type of Chihuahua girls that barks only when she hears a new sound that isn't supposed to be there and whose biggest desire is to lay on the sofa near her person or sit on their lap for the longest of times.  This sweet girl that always has a smile, is golden not only in color but also in character and personality.  She is a 'character' as they say and she just a few things she does in her day.   She loves to go outside on the leash to do her business and then quickly come back inside and head straight to the comfort of 'the sofa. '   Calm Cocoa does not like to use a pee pad so don't count on that as a back up. It is outside or her own inside choice if you aren't attentive to her needs.  She doesn't need a crate and she is the kind of girl that embraces all other dogs and even the 3 cats in her foster home are welcomed friends.  She is a loving girl and will give you kisses all day.  At just 12 years of age and 10 lbs. this girl would be up for a short walk daily and definitely wants to be with someone as much as possible.  She rides beautifully in a car and would welcome her own Princess Throne car seat to ride in.   She would be a great Chihuahua Ambassador to show that the breed can have a warm smile, some great kisses and of course the best devotion and love that you could ever order up in life.  Just think, you could have your very own mix of Kind Cocoa every morning when you wake up!  How about that?????   Bruno Mars may share a name with a famous performer, but this little Chihuahua has his own kind of star quality. At 4 years old and 20 pounds, Bruno is a handsome boy who is currently carrying a few extra pounds from his previous life, but with some fun exercise and a loving home, he’s already on his way to becoming the sleek little heart-stealer he was meant to be.   Bruno Mars spent the early part of his life as a breeder dog in a home that had far too many Chihuahuas and not nearly enough one-on-one attention. While the environment wasn’t the worst situation imaginable, it certainly wasn’t the life a small, affectionate dog like him deserved. With so many dogs around, there simply wasn’t time for play, attention, or the little joys that make a dog’s life special.  Now that those days are behind him, Bruno is discovering how wonderful life can really be. One of his favorite discoveries has been the game of fetch. This boy absolutely lights up when someone throws his favorite toy. He runs after it with pure joy, proudly brings it back, and waits excitedly for the next throw. His toy is his prized possession and he loves carrying it around like a treasure. It’s hard not to smile watching him enjoy something that was likely never part of his life before.   Fetch is not only Bruno’s favorite game, it’s also helping him get healthier and slimmer while bonding with the people who play with him. Long walks, playtime, and lots of affection are exactly what this sweet boy has been waiting for. And affection is something Bruno Mars has plenty of. True to his charming name, he is quite the little lover boy. Bruno adores people and will happily shower his foster mom with kisses until she gently tells him that’s enough for the moment. He’s friendly with everyone he meets and gets along beautifully with other dogs and even cats.   His foster family says he is an incredibly affectionate, happy little guy who just wants to be someone’s devoted companion.   With a bit more exercise and a family of his own, Bruno Mars is going to blossom into a truly stunning Chihuahua who will fill his home with joy, laughter, and plenty of kisses.   If you’re looking for a playful, loving companion who will happily walk beside you and play fetch for as long as you’re willing to throw the toy, Bruno Mars might be your perfect match.   Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.
