Meet Brody, a charming 38-pound bundle of love looking for his forever home! This sweet boy, a unique mix of 31.4% Chow Chow and 29.8% American Pit Bull Terrier, has a heart as big as his personality. With his glossy black coat and soulful eyes, Brody is a loyal companion who’s ready to bring joy to the right family. Brody’s journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s made him the resilient, loving dog he is today. After bouncing between homes, he’s found his stride at Home At Last Sanctuary, Inc., where he’s blossomed into a playful, affectionate, and house-trained pup. Brody’s a healthy, active boy, fully vaccinated and bursting with energy for fun and snuggles. He adores attention, curling up close for love and affection, but also has an independent streak, happily keeping an eye on the household from his favorite spot. Brody gets along wonderfully with other dogs once properly introduced, having shared space with eight foster pals and learned to shine in their company. His leash manners have improved tremendously, making walks a joy! While he’s great with kids who respect his boundaries (with adult supervision), he’d prefer a home without cats, as they’re not his cup of tea. This special pup has a knack for sensing your emotions, offering comfort when you need it most. His unique blend of Chow Chow independence and Pit Bull empathy makes him a one-of-a-kind companion—ready to be your loyal sidekick and cuddle buddy. Due to breed restrictions, Brody can’t be placed where his breeds are restricted, but for the right home, he’s a treasure waiting to be discovered. Story
Muffy came into my life after her previous owner passed, and she’s proven to be one of the sweetest, smartest dogs I’ve ever known. While she’s shy at first, this loyal girl becomes a total lovebug once she trusts you. She’s very well-behaved, masters tricks like “spin” and “high-five,” and adores daily walks or hikes. Muffy would thrive in calm, quiet home with 1-2 adults who understand her cautious nature. She’d do best in a home without cats or small children. She could enjoy a home with another friendly dog if it is the right fit (she can be particular about other dogs but there are some that she really loves). A securely fenced yard is a must, as she loves being outside. Muffy’s heart is full of love; she just needs the right person to give her time and space to share it. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who’ll repay your patience with endless devotion, Muffy is your girl.

Story
https://foha.org/pet/ashland2021/ ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Hi, I’m Ashland — a gentle southern soul with endearing ears and a deep loyalty to those I trust. I’m all about peaceful walks, relaxing car rides, and cuddling up with my favorite humans. I walk beautifully on a harness and would love to be your nature-walking buddy. I’m shy at first, but once I feel safe, I become an affectionate companion who loves belly rubs and silly zoomies in the yard. Because I’m sensitive to new environments and fast introductions, I’m looking for a calm, adult-only home with an experienced adopter who understands dogs like me. I’ll thrive in a quiet, single-family home where I can be the only pet. HOW AM I WITH DOGS: I prefer to be the only pup in the home. Other dogs stress me out — I shine best solo! HOW AM I WITH CATS: Not a good match — please, no cats. HOW AM I WITH KIDS: I need a home without children. I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: Sit and Down — no treats required, just love! MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: I do well in calm environments and adapt to routines. FOHA can provide more specifics. THINGS I LIKE: Long, quiet walks • Snuggling on the couch • Treats • Belly rubs • Riding in the car THINGS I DISLIKE: Crowds • Sudden noise • Fast introductions • City life • Other dogs on leash FOHA ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCESS: https://foha.org/pet-adoption/adoption-policies/ ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy (training & behavior support), slip lead leash, 1 bag of starter food, 1-month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical care as needed.

The votes are IN and we ARE the WINNERS!! Found at the side of a country road (very common dumping ground, next to the railroad tracks), and saved by a wonderful "foster" and her husband and son and other doggy friends :) We started living like REAL loved puppies the day she saved us!! We are learning potty training and are crate trained experts!! We are leash training as well, but you have to understand.... we were never loved, never lived IN a home and NEVER had ANYONE CARE!!! So, potty trained or not, we are over the moon (and so is our foster mom). But now it is time to find our furever homes! We love and play very well together and would be ideal as a pair, but do NOT have to be adopted together. We need another calm and confident dog to keep us happy/played with and to teach us all we need to know about being loved pups :) We are gorgeous pups and our coats will accent your hair :) ADOPT...DON'T SHOP!!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
🩷 Rescue Story Yeonji was first noticed near my home on two separate occasions after escaping from her leash. Each time, she appeared timid but showed strong affection toward people—wagging her tail, staying close, and following me quietly. Knowing where she lived, I walked her back to her home and politely asked the owner if he had lost his dog. The owner was a man in his nineties, living alone in a severely dilapidated wooden house, and he had noticeable difficulty communicating. Although Yeonji had willingly followed me until then, she immediately ran away the moment she saw him. Assuming she had simply wanted to stay outside longer, I gently took her leash and handed her back. The owner then tied her to an extremely short chain. Feeling uneasy, I stayed nearby instead of returning home. Shortly after, I heard Yeonji screaming. I rushed back and witnessed the owner striking her repeatedly with an iron rod while she lay on the ground crying in pain. As it was late at night, I intervened verbally and stayed outside the property for some time to ensure the abuse stopped. The following day, I returned in daylight and, with the owner’s permission, removed Yeonji from the property and secured her safety. She has been living in foster care ever since. 🌿 Temperament & Behavior Yeonji has limited experience with cats, but in brief encounters she showed no aggression and little interest. She is highly social with other dogs. During first meetings, she engages calmly through sniffing and exploration without any aggressive behavior. She is well suited for a multi-dog household. With people, Yeonji is initially shy and does not approach strangers right away. However, within about one to two hours, she relaxes significantly and begins to show affection. She is particularly fearful of adult men and may bark once or twice from a distance. This behavior is fear-based and not aggressive. 🚶 Walking & Daily Life When first rescued, Yeonji was very timid on walks and stayed close behind her handler. As she settled in, her young and energetic nature began to emerge, and she now shows some leash pulling. She is currently in leash training and continues to improve. Her shedding level is moderate, around 6 out of 10. She has no known food allergies and eats well without being picky. 🏡 Habits & Training Yeonji defecates exclusively outdoors. She may urinate indoors, but when a designated potty pad is provided, she uses it appropriately. Occasionally, she may mistake white rugs or similar items for a potty pad. She may whine briefly when someone leaves the house, but this does not last long and she shows no other signs of separation anxiety. She barks only occasionally when startled or frightened, such as hearing unfamiliar noises or someone suddenly entering her space. These barks are brief and non-aggressive. 💛 Likes & Personality Yeonji is extremely affectionate with people, especially with her caregiver. She enjoys playing with other dogs and likes toys she can hold and manipulate with her front paws. She does not have strong dislikes, though unfamiliar objects or situations can make her cautious at first. She is currently living in a foster home and has been with her foster family for approximately two months.

📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. • Rescue Story Mira came into this world against the odds. Her small mama was rescued at the very last moment—just before euthanasia—and brought safely to our rescue team’s partner clinic. There, on August 3rd, she gave birth to six healthy puppies, and Mira was one of them. Thanks to that timely rescue, Mira took her first breath in safety, not fear. Mira is growing into a wonderful dog and is patiently waiting for the forever family who will give her the love she has always deserved 💛 • Personality: Sweet, Playful, Friendly As a young puppy, Mira's personality will continue to blossom with love and guidance. She has that joyful puppy energy that fills a home with laughter and happy chaos. • Affinity with - Dogs: Good with other dogs. - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Loves people! Story
🩷 Rescue Story Wory was originally rescued from a dog meat farm by another organization and later transferred to "Jeongeup City Shelter" in South Korea. Tragically, she was placed on the euthanasia list there. Just before it was too late, she was rescued and given another chance at life. Since moving into foster care, she has shown nothing but kindness and gratitude, revealing an incredibly gentle and loving heart. 🌿 Temperament & Behavior Worry is exceptionally gentle with other dogs. She gets along very well with them and is so mild-mannered that she sometimes gets pushed around without reacting. She is truly sweet-natured and non-confrontational. However, she does not enjoy dogs that approach her rudely or with overly intense behavior. She absolutely adores people—both adults and children alike. She often approaches first, offering affection and charming everyone she meets with her warm and loving personality. Her compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. 🚶 Walking & Daily Life Worry walks well on leash and enjoys taking her time to sniff during walks. She responds reliably when her name is called and stays engaged with her handler. Her shedding level is moderate, around 5 out of 10. She has a mild chicken allergy. While she eats well, she prefers her kibble mixed with something extra such as beef or sweet potato and may not eat plain kibble on its own. 🏡 Habits & Training Worry does very well with both indoor and outdoor potty habits, using indoor pads reliably (100%) and also going potty outdoors about 90% of the time. She truly enjoys baths and grooming and remains relaxed throughout. She does not have separation anxiety and stays calm when left alone. She may bark briefly when people arrive, purely out of excitement and happiness, but otherwise she is very quiet. She rides well in the car with no motion sickness. 💛 Likes & Personality Worry loves people more than anything—even more than treats. Human attention is her greatest joy. She prefers polite canine friends and feels uncomfortable around dogs that are overly pushy or lack manners. She is currently living in a foster home.
