Story
Writing this is one of the hardest things I have ever done. Milo is my best friend I am his person. He one of the strongest relationships I have ever had. Milo will be 7 in December. Before my first child was born, he had training and responded very well to positive reinforcement, especially with walks. He is loving, loyal, and deeply devoted with the people he trusts. Milo is also a sensitive, fearful dog who can be reactive in new situations and with new people. He needs an experienced adopter who understands fearful behavior and can provide patience, structure, and careful management. He has shown aggression toward children and cannot live with children or smaller pets, including smaller dogs. New adults must be introduced slowly and in a controlled setting. He does best being separated whenever company is visiting. Now that I have kids, I can no longer give him the comfortable environment he deserves. I’m hoping to find an experienced adopter who is ready for his loyalty

Story
After her owner passed away, Bonnie Blue (Blue) could not be cared for by his elderly wife. Blue is a 9 year old fuzzy black Chow Chow. She loves to go on long walks and loves being outside. She will sit and observe her surroundings for hours. She loves the company of people but being near you is close enough; occasionally she will come by for doggy rubs or a quick lick. In the evening, she likes being part of the night time TV watching before retiring to her spot for evening slumber.

Story
Fiona is a beautiful 9-year-old Chow Chow mix with the softest, fluffiest coat and an even sweeter personality. This lovely dog enjoys taking life at her own pace and is happiest exploring the world one sniff at a time. On walks, you`ll usually find her following her nose, taking in all the exciting scents around her. Fiona already knows sit and paw, and she`s always happy to show off her manners for a treat or a little praise. While she`s affectionate and gentle, she also has an independent side that makes her an easygoing companion. She`s open to meeting other pets and children of any age, making her a wonderful candidate for a variety of homes. Story
Venom is 2 yrs old , he had some training as far as sit, stay, give me your paw, if you tell him no to something he will listen as well he is house trained and loves to go on walks. He is loving, loyal, and follows his owner around once comfortable and gives trust. He is a fearful dog who can be reactive in new situations and with new people. He needs an experienced adopter and trainer who understands fearful behavior and can provide patience, understanding and willing to give him undivided attention , He has not shown any aggression toward children and has been around children as young as 1 years old , he likes it when they throw his plush toys. New adults must be introduced slowly and in a controlled setting. If you have company or leave home for awhile he does well with being in his cage but does tend to stay in there if he is not comfortable or scared , he does bark at anyone approaching his home until he sees who it is , training and patience is all he need to earn his love

Story
Hi, I`m Freya! I`ve got years of wisdom, but don`t let that fool you; I`m still a goofy girl at heart. I love a good chuckle, especially when I surprise you with my playful antics. Sure, I can be stoic, observing the world with a serene gaze, but give me a squeaky toy and watch my inner puppy shine. I`m looking for a forever home where I can share my calm companionship and occasional bursts of silliness. If you need a loyal friend to brighten your days, I`m your girl!

Story
Meet Oakley Oakley is a beautiful, affectionate girl looking for the right forever home where she can truly shine. At approximately 5.5 years old and weighing around 50 pounds, Oakley is a wonderful mix of playful energy and loyal companionship. This sweet girl absolutely loves her people and thrives on affection. She enjoys being pet, spending quality time with her humans, and being included in daily life. Once Oakley bonds with you, her loyalty runs deep — she’s the kind of dog who wants to be right by your side.Oakley’s favorite activities include playing fetch (she’s a big fan of a two-ball system ), tug-of-war, and long walks outdoors. She walks nicely on a leash and loves soaking up time outside, whether she’s exploring or simply relaxing near her favorite person. Oakley is house trained, up to date on all of her vaccinations, and recently had her vet care updated. She does well with toys and happily shares them, even giving them up to smaller dogs at times. Indoors, she currently lives successfully with a smaller dog and enjoys companionship, though she likes to remind everyone she’s the boss.Oakley can be a little anxious in busy or noisy environments, and small children make her nervous, so she is seeking an adult-only home with no kids where she can feel safe and comfortable. She may bark when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly and often gets excited for pets and attention (sometimes enthusiastically enough to jump up and say hello!). While Oakley has done well with one smaller dog in the home, introductions to new dogs should be slow and thoughtful. She can be reactive to other dogs on walks at times, especially if excitement is high around her. She also guards her food from other animals, so feeding separately is important. As for cats, Oakley has lived around them and has not shown aggression, but because she tends to chase and can be a bit jealous for attention, a cat-free home may be best.Oakley would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can be loved for exactly who she is — a loyal, playful, affectionate companion who just wants to feel secure and adored. She may do best as the only pet or with a dog-savvy home willing to give her time to adjust. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend to share walks, playtime, and cuddles with, Oakley might be your perfect match Apply to adopt Oakley at  bcaaofnj.orgInterested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application!
