Story
Meet Grace—affectionately known as Gracie. Gracie is a mostly independent girl who does take time to trust new people, but once you’re “in”, you’ll know it. She enjoys affection, but it is always on her terms, and she has just the right amount of spunky sass—earning her the nickname “huffy puffy” when she’s feeling extra expressive. She absolutely adores other dogs and thrives in their company. While she gets along well with all pups, she tends to form the closest bonds with females. A friendly, confident canine companion would be an ideal match to help her continue building trust and self-assurance. Naturally submissive, Gracie takes comfort in following a trusted lead—whether human or canine—and blossoms in environments that offer gentle structure and positive reinforcement. She LOVES to be outside and is happiest when she is able to be outside - enjoying a mix of sunbathing, running and playing. Gracie will likely always be a skeptical girl when it comes to trusting new people, so she’s looking for a lifestyle that is more laid back and won’t force her to be friends with every visitor that comes over. She warms up slowly and does best when given space, time, and a calm approach. Once she feels safe, she looks to her humans and furry friends for cues and guidance. Because she’s a follower by nature, she needs a patient, confident adopter who can provide consistent leadership in a soothing, structured environment. Gracie doesn’t enjoy being crated and would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time. While she is crate trained and manages when necessary, she’s happiest when included in the rhythm of everyday life. She currently lives peacefully with two respectful teenagers who understand her, but would be best suited to a quieter household without small children, as too much commotion overwhelms her and causes her sassiness to shine.  Out and about, Gracie is a dream on leash—calm, curious, and non-reactive to people or other dogs. She has a mild interest in squirrels and bunnies, but her prey drive is low. Occassionally she will pull if she is really excited - part of her “im happy we’re doing this, let’s go”. But, she is also easy to redirect. She’d love a fenced yard where she can run and explore, but it’s not essential. Gracie’s true joys include car rides (especially when she can stand tall in the middle seat with the sunroof open), cozy blankets, soft squeaky toys, and, of course, a good chew toy. She’s a little nosy, too—always keeping an eye on the neighborhood like your own furry watch committee. Gracie is tolerant for baths, fine with being picked up, and easy to groom at home.  She has  not visited a professional groomer.  Gracie is house trained with a schedule she can anticipate  and knows her basic commands - sitting beautifully when asked. This special little girl has such a big heart underneath her spunky sass (which is sort of like her emotional suit of armor). Her progress so far has been remarkable, and in the right home—with time, patience, and loving guidance—she’s going to continue to truly shine. Her smile lights up a room, and she beams with pride when she’s happy.  Gracie is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and able to head to her furever home. We prefer she be adopted into a home with another dog. Please note: you may need to meet with Gracie more than one time before taking her home. Gracie is in our Meet Me Program: Dogs featured in our Meet Me Program are participating simply because their foster or a dedicated volunteer is willing and able to take part—this is not based on breed, personality, behavior, or how long a dog has been waiting for a home. Because Mostly Muttz Rescue does not have a physical shelter location, this program allows adopters to connect directly with the people who know each dog best. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about daily life with the dog, and even schedule an individual meet & greet at an approved location—either before applying or while your application is pending. To get started, email meet_me@mostlymuttz.org with your contact information, and the dog’s foster or volunteer will be in touch. www.mostlymuttz.org https://facebook.com/mostlymuttz PA Kennel License: 10872 PO Box 406 Gilbertsville, PA 19525 #mostlymuttzrescue #adopt #adoptme #sassyspunky #somuchtolove #adoptable ##2225922##

Story
Writing this is one of the hardest things I have ever done. Milo is my best friend I am his person. He one of the strongest relationships I have ever had. Milo will be 7 in December. Before my first child was born, he had training and responded very well to positive reinforcement, especially with walks. He is loving, loyal, and deeply devoted with the people he trusts. Milo is also a sensitive, fearful dog who can be reactive in new situations and with new people. He needs an experienced adopter who understands fearful behavior and can provide patience, structure, and careful management. He has shown aggression toward children and cannot live with children or smaller pets, including smaller dogs. New adults must be introduced slowly and in a controlled setting. He does best being separated whenever company is visiting. Now that I have kids, I can no longer give him the comfortable environment he deserves. I’m hoping to find an experienced adopter who is ready for his loyalty

Story
My name is Bob! I am 70 lbs and a settled in adult at 5 years old. I am in need of a new home. I am a stunning Chow/Shepherd/Lab mix. If you are looking for a true companion that is easy, trustworthy and ready to go, I am really it. Really! I am a fantastic dog. I am housebroken, free roaming and well-behaved in my home. I love people and I love kids. I have lived with school-aged kids for most of my life and have interacted with younger kids many times too. I really enjoy them. I am good with dogs. I have mostly lived with dogs smaller than myself. I could easily live as an only in my home or with a nice mild mannered companion like myself. I walk well on leash, enjoy the beach and strolling in my neighborhood. I still love to get some exercise but medium energy at my age. I can totally lounge and I am as loyal as they come. We are unsure about cats. I am located in NJ and would love to meet you. Here is a link to the application: https://www.zivadogrescue.org/adoptable-dogs

Story
If relaxation were an Olympic sport, Chelsea would have a gold medal (and probably be napping on the podium). This laid-back lady is all about the simple joys in life: gentle pets, cozy couches, and leisurely strolls around the neighborhood where she can take in the sights at her own pace. Chelsea isn’t in a rush—she’s more of a “stop and smell the roses (and maybe sit next to them for a while)” kind of girl. She’s the perfect match for someone who enjoys quiet evenings, soft blankets, and a loyal buddy who’s always down to hang out. Story
This brindle charmer — mostly pit, part chow, part boxer, all personality — has spent his whole life proving that big energy and a big heart. He's the dog sprinting into the waves like he invented the beach, then curling up against you like he's always been there. He grew up alongside cats and now looking for a family with room to match his energy: no toddlers underfoot, but teenagers who want a running partner, a co-pilot, a best friend who thinks every day is the best day? He's already packed his bags.
