Story
Meet WILLA — Our Beautiful Newest Rescue Girl Willa is being fostered in East Oshawa (Hampton area). Willa is a 7-year-old Cockapoo, weighing approximately 25 lbs, who came to us as an owner surrender. She was clearly well loved and cared for, but with the recent addition of toddlers in her previous home, life became overwhelming for her and led to anxiety around young children. Willa is a sweet soul who truly enjoys the company of her humans. While she is friendly, she has little interest in other dogs and has made it clear that she must be the ONLY dog in the home. She is not enjoying having a foster sibling, and we believe she will thrive best soaking up all the attention as a solo pup. She’s still settling into her new environment, so she isn’t quite a cuddle bug just yet — but with time, patience, and love, Willa continues to show us more of her wonderful personality and we’re confident she will keep blossoming. WILLA’S IDEAL HOME: A quiet household with NO young children (teenagers are fine). Someone who is home most of the time. A detached home (condos are NOT suitable, as Willa will bark at noises). A secure, fenced yard — based on the foster recommendation as the learn more about her! Willa has a low-to-medium energy level and is happiest relaxing near her people. She enjoys her daily walks (though she does tend to pull a bit on leash) and loves playing with her toys — but she would prefer not to share them with another dog. THE PERKS: House-trained & non destructive Can roam freely in the home Sleeps through the night on her favorite bed and blanket Eats well and happily accepts treats Not crate trained and would not enjoy confinement Like most Cockapoos, Willa will require grooming a few times per year to keep her looking and feeling her best. If you’re looking for a calm, loyal, and loving companion, Willa could be the perfect match. She truly deserves a safe, quiet forever home where she can feel secure, understood, and cherished. If you think Willa is the one for you, please apply to adopt her today. ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

Story
Ollie and Lulu were surrendered to us when their owner no longer had the time to care for them. They both had untreated medical issues and severe dental disease, leaving them extremely uncomfortable and lethargic. After receiving treatment they became almost entirely different dogs. Ollie and Lulu may be seniors but they sure do like to go for walks and run around the yard together. They are a volunteer favourite because of their goofy and sweet dispositions. They are selective with dogs and would only do well in a home with another calm dog that does not intimidate or become rough with them. Ollie does bark at other dogs in passing, while Lulu ignores them. Ollie and Lulu would do well in just about any home. They have been great with respectful children that are experienced with dogs. Lulu can sometimes have grumpy moments when she wants her space to nap. It's important to look for the obvious signs when she needs alone time. Ollie is always happy and ready for a cuddle. This cute duo have great house manners, they frequently go on sleepovers with our dedicated volunteers who report they are always on their best behaviour.
