Story
Gracie is a sweet, happy nine-month-old cockapoo who needs a family that can give her the time, structure, and attention she deserves. She isn’t fully house-trained yet, but she does bark when she needs to go outside. If you not paying close attention, you might miss her signal, so she needs someone willing to continue her training and consistency. She loves toys, bounce around, and bring all her energy to the moment. But she’s also a big cuddler. Gracie is a lap dog through and through. If you give her a belly rub, she will stay glued to you. She is affectionate, she gentle, and she loves being close. She truly is a little shadow who follows you everywhere. I got her from a breeder, healthy and well-socialized. The only reason she needs a new home is because my circumstances have changed. not working right now, things have been difficult, and no longer able to care for her the way she needs. She deserves stability, routine, and a family

Story
Meet Libby! 🐾 Libby is a 4 year old maybe Cavapoo. That is what we were told, but honestly we are not entirely sure what this girl is, just that she is CUTE, spunky, and full of personality. Libby is learning what it means to be a loved, spoiled (and mannered!) dog. Libby is housebroken as long as she is taken out regularly and is crate trained. She will sometimes go into her crate on her own and does well being crated when left alone. She may occasionally cry for a short time but settles well overall. This girl has lots of energy and would thrive in a home with another playful dog who can match her enthusiasm. She loves having a canine buddy and would be most secure and happiest with a fenced in yard where she can run, play, and burn off her zoomies. Libby is sweet and affectionate with her people, but she is also very curious. She has a habit of counter surfing and grabbing things, so her future family must be very careful and consistent about keeping items picked up to keep her safe. She is already improving with structure and supervision. Libby has been good, though a little curious with cats. She is also great with young kids and does well with them. Libby would do best with an adopter who understands her energy level, is committed to continued training, and can provide both structure and playtime. In return, you will get a funny, loving pup with a big personality who is impossible not to fall for. If you are looking for a playful companion who brings equal parts sweetness and silliness, Libby might just be your girl 🐶💛 Apply at www.zoeshouserescue.com Kennel license 9117 Reading PA 19608

Story
If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Tara, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am scared because I have not been around a lot of people or lived in a home as a pet. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. I will need time to trust people who want what is best for me and are not going to hurt me. That is something I have not experienced so far in my life. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen.
