Story
Meet Cooper! A gentle eight-year-old Cockapoo currently in Naperville, IL, whose mellow charm is wrapped in a soft, wavy tan coat that hardly sheds and always invites snuggles. Weighing in at 29 pounds (with a goal of trimming to a healthy 25), Cooper is a sweet, affectionate companion who has shared his life with children, adults, and even a cat. He’s grown up alongside toddlers and young kids, and he continues to be calm, patient, and responsive with little ones who respect his space, especially his sensitive ears. He coexists peacefully with cats, choosing calm companionship over interaction. When it comes to dogs, though, Cooper prefers to be the only pup in the home. While he’s never been aggressive or bitten another animal, he can show resource guarding behaviors around toys and food when other dogs are present. His perfect match is a family where he can be the center of attention, something he truly thrives on. Cooper is house-trained, crate-trained, and an all-around easy guy to live with. When he needs to go outside, he’ll patiently sit by the door and give a soft “huff”, his polite way of speaking up. He knows several commands, including “sit,” “come,” “scootch,” and “go for a ride,” and he walks beautifully on leash. When left alone, he naps peacefully with the hum of a TV or radio and never gets into trouble. At night, he’s happy curling up in bed or snoozing in his crate, as long as he has a fleece blanket and his favorite stuffed toys close by. This cuddle-loving boy absolutely adores belly rubs! If you pause too soon, expect a gentle paw as a reminder to keep going. His daily joys include walks, soft zoomies, puzzle toys, and showing off a toy when you return home. He’s playful but never demanding, and he happily joins in when kids want to engage. He’s healthy with no ongoing medical needs, and his mild acid reflux has been fully managed with a simple homemade diet. He’ll arrive freshly groomed, ready to charm his way into your heart! Cooper would flourish in a calm home, perhaps with kids or someone who works from home, where he can be the center of attention. Could Cooper be the cozy-hearted companion you’ve been waiting for? Story
Meet Coconut Coconut is a sweet 18-year-old female Poodle mix weighing about 16 pounds who is looking for a calm, loving home to enjoy her golden years. She was surrendered when her previous owners were no longer able to provide the care a senior dog deserves, and now she's ready for her next chapter with a family who can give her comfort, stability, and love. Despite her age, Coconut is doing quite well overall and appears healthy for an 18-year-old senior. She has been receiving care for a skin infection, which is being treated with medication and is improving. Skin infections are common in dogs with underlying allergies, especially when left untreated, and Coconut is already on the path to healing. If she is adopted before treatment is complete, her adopters will receive her remaining medication along with instructions to continue her care at home. Coconut was also treated for a double ear infection and is scheduled to return on 01/21/26 for her second treatment to ensure full resolution. This follow-up appointment will help keep her comfortable and feeling her best. Coconut is currently living in a foster home, where she's enjoying a cozy environment while she waits for her forever family. She is spayed, microchipped, current on rabies and basic boosters, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $125. Because Coconut is in foster care and not housed at the shelter, an approved online adoption application is required prior to scheduling any meet and greets or adoption. Apply here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Coconut may be a senior gal, but she still has so much love to give&#194&#151and she's hoping to spend her golden years surrounded by comfort, care, and kindness.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. January 7, 2026, 4:15 pm

Story
Tina is a shy little girl that was raised in a breeding program, but she did not get pregnant. She is now part of Ready 2 Rescue, so that she can find a forever home. She is 2 years old and only weighs about 5 lbs. She is a toy poodle, and is very sweet, but still very shy. We are working with her, and she gets very excited to see us, but runs when you reach to pet her or pick her up. If you go get her and pick her up slowly, she does well and will stay in your arms. She is not accustomed to the affection, but we are hopeful with time, patience, and love she will grow to love it. If you are interested in "Tiny Tina", go to ready2rescue@yahoo.com and let us know. We will send you an application via email. Once approved, we can schedule a day and time you can come meet her. In order to be approved, you must have a vet reference, showing you had shots done and heartworm prevention with a previous dog. For more information, call Bob with Ready 2 Rescue at 214-681-5978

Story
Rebel is a sweet guy that was previously used in breeding. He's 5 yrs old and weighs 7 lbs.. He's a miniature poodle, and a real snuggle bug, once he gets to know you. He's friendly and will come up to strangers, but won't let you pet or pick him up until he gets to know you. He's not house trained yet, as he has lived his life until now in a dog run. He had a leg wound when we took him into rescue, but it has healed since then, but the hair still needs to grow back. He's going to be a great addition to any family, and will win your heart if you meet him! If interested, email us at ready2rescue@yahoo.com or call Bob with Ready 2 Rescue at 214-681-5978.His adoption donation is $500, which covers his neuter, shots, and Heartworm test. For approval, you will need to have a vet history showing you've done shots and Heartworm prevention with previous dogs.
