Story
I am heartbroken to be rehoming my 5-year-old Cocker Spaniel Stevie, the sweetest dog I’ve ever owned. He is a loving, cuddly, people-oriented companion who truly thrives when someone is home with him, as my new work schedule keeps me away for 10+ hours a day. He has limited experience with other dogs and cats, so a calm home where he can be the center of attention would be ideal. He isn’t a chewer or a digger, and is wonderfully well-mannered, though he does bark at noises and sometimes reacts to violence on TV. He adores being close to his person and will happily curl up in bed with you at night. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate dog who just wants to be by your side, he will make an incredible companion. I’m devastated to let him go, but I want him to have the time, attention, and love he deserves.

Story
Barnabus is an amazing pup with a huge love for fetch—give him a ball, and he’s the happiest dog in the world! He’s looking for a gentle and patient adopter who will let him take his time to build trust. Barnabus thrives in a calm environment where he’s spoken to with kindness and allowed to come to you on his own terms. Once he feels secure, his sweet and loyal personality truly shines. While he’s not a fan of constant cuddles right away, Barnabus warms up beautifully with stability and love. He enjoys quiet walks, watching the world go by, and engaging with the people around him. He’s great with kids, other animals, and people, making him a wonderful companion in the right home. Barnabus does have a quirky growl, but don’t be alarmed—it’s his way of asking for attention, especially when he wants to play! He’s been misunderstood in the past, but in the right hands, he’ll flourish into the perfect, devoted best friend. If you’re ready to offer Barnabus the care, understanding, and love he deserves, he’s ready to meet you! Fill out an application today to bring this playful and protective boy into your life.

Story
Meet Sarge Sarge is an 8-year-old Cocker Spaniel with a heart of gold and a whole lot of love to give. He is extremely friendly and social and we don’t anticipate any issues with other pets—this guy truly just wants to be everyone’s friend. At about 30 pounds, Sarge can best be described as a lovable little bulldozer. Because of his size and enthusiasm, he’d do best in a home without small children, but older, dog-savvy kids would be just fine. He’s completely potty trained and a very respectful house guest—no chewing on furniture or shoes here. Sarge prefers to be out and about, hanging on the couch with his people rather than spending long stretches in a crate, though he does like his crate and is comfortable using it when needed. He’s an easygoing, well-mannered guy who fits right into a home routine. Sweet, goofy, affectionate, and endlessly charming—Sarge is the kind of dog who will make you smile every single day. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s past the puppy stage and ready to enjoy the good life by your side, Sarge might just be your perfect match. ##2605666##

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Transferred from Operation Kindness via Southwest Airlines transport services, originated from Dallas Animal Services, Dallas, TX., found as stray, neutered, rabies done, finishing giardia treatment From the foster: Bruce is ready to meet YOU! Are you ready to meet Bruce? Bruce is a spunky 9 month old mixed breed pup - we think he has some chihuahua in him and some other stuff. He is currently 19 pounds and will probably fill out a bit more but remain a smaller doggo. Bruce is a dog loving, people loving, toy loving, cuddle loving, puppy! He is looking for a home that can provide him with walks, play time, and human or dog friends! We think he would be okay as an only dog but would LOVE a home with other furry friends. He is currently fostered with two larger dogs and doesn't mind their size (honestly, not sure if he understands how small he is). While Bruce does love other dogs, he is still learning how to greet them and needs a home/other furry friends that understand he is still a puppy learning manners. He has had no accidents but we wouldn't say he is fully potty trained, his foster home works remotely and is able to take him out often prior to him asking. He is crate trained and sleeps in the crate all night and when he needs a break from non-stop play with his foster brothers. Bruce has so much potential to be a family dog, hiking buddy, agility king, or anything else! He is such a confident little guy and has never met a stranger or scary situation which would make him great in a variety of families. If you're looking for a buddy to take on adventures he is your guy. If you're looking for a puppy but one that comes with some confidence and maturity - Bruce is your man. He is ready to entertain his new forever home with his quirky goofy personality and love you for the rest of forever. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
