Story
Barnabus is an amazing pup with a huge love for fetch—give him a ball, and he’s the happiest dog in the world! He’s looking for a gentle and patient adopter who will let him take his time to build trust. Barnabus thrives in a calm environment where he’s spoken to with kindness and allowed to come to you on his own terms. Once he feels secure, his sweet and loyal personality truly shines. While he’s not a fan of constant cuddles right away, Barnabus warms up beautifully with stability and love. He enjoys quiet walks, watching the world go by, and engaging with the people around him. He’s great with kids, other animals, and people, making him a wonderful companion in the right home. Barnabus does have a quirky growl, but don’t be alarmed—it’s his way of asking for attention, especially when he wants to play! He’s been misunderstood in the past, but in the right hands, he’ll flourish into the perfect, devoted best friend. If you’re ready to offer Barnabus the care, understanding, and love he deserves, he’s ready to meet you! Fill out an application today to bring this playful and protective boy into your life.

Story
Larry is a 4–5 year old, 18 lb Cockapoo who can only be described as a little ray of sunshine ☀️ This sweet, snuggly guy lives for his people and would happily spend all day curled up in your lap. He’s a pretty chill companion overall—quiet, easygoing, and content to just hang out—though when he gets excited, he shows it in the most adorable way…by bouncing straight up into the air with all four feet off the ground. It’s impossible not to smile when you see it. Larry has been great with other dogs but doesn’t seem all that interested in playing—he’s much more into companionship than chaos. Because of his sensitive nature, he’s looking for a home without young kids. He can also be a little “cat-like” at times and will politely let you know when he’s had enough attention. He does best with a crate when left alone, as he can get a bit anxious and will pace or scratch. No shared walls though, because if it’s not bedtime he will vocally show his dissatisfaction. He’s happy as a clam in his crate at night, though! Just be prepared—this boy is clingy in the best way and will want to be your little shadow. Larry recently had a full dental (including 25 teeth removed!) and is feeling so much better. He came to us from a local Colorado shelter as a stray in rough shape, with a severely matted coat that made even basic movement uncomfortable. Now that he’s cleaned up and cared for, his happy, loving personality is shining through. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate little companion who will keep your lap warm and your heart full, Larry is your guy 💛 Larry is being fostered in Loveland, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/larry/. Story
Molly – Sweet, Shy Companion Looking for the Right Home Molly is a 4-year-old Cavalier mix (born April 1, 2021), weighing about 15 pounds. She is a spayed female with a gentle personality and moderate energy level—she enjoys running and playing but is also content to relax at home. She is up to date on vaccinations and has received regular veterinary care. Molly is housetrained, crate-trained, and does well with a consistent routine. When left alone, she is comfortable in her crate for a few hours at a time. Molly gets along well with other dogs and has lived with both dogs and cats. She has also been around children (ages 12–15) and has done well. She enjoys chewing on bones, playing with stuffed toys, and relaxing on the couch or her dog bed. Molly’s biggest need is a home with a female primary caregiver. She is shy and uneasy around men, and this has remained a consistent behavior. In the right environment, she is affectionate, responsive, and eager to bond. She walks well on a harness and does not lunge at people or other dogs, though she may show interest in small animals like squirrels or rabbits. She can be vocal when she sees other dogs but responds well to correction. Molly would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can feel safe and build trust—especially with a female owner. She is a loyal, loving dog who just needs the right match to truly shine. ##2714655##
